Author’s POV:     “Jessi! Are you okay?” Mommy Wu rushed out of the car when she saw Jessica pacing her way away from the house with tears.     Jessica just shook her head. She couldn’t take it anymore. The tears only flowed out of her eyes incessantly.     Mommy Wu tried to give her another warming hug, but failed when Jessica denied it. Jessica only started to run away again.     “Jessi!” Mommy Wu called after her.     Frantically pivoting, Mommy Wu’s anxiety kicked back in. She didn’t know what to do. Her eyes landed on her car and she ran towards it, wanting to chase after Jessica.     “Mom!” Kris pulled his mother away from the driver’s side. “I’ll drive, get in the car.”     Mommy Wu spun back, looking at her son. Her eyes flickered to Emily that was beside Kris, as her arm was in her son’s grip. Mommy Wu instantly knew why Jessica broke down again.     “Get in the car!” Kris shouted, unintentionally yelling at his mother, but he couldn’t bother with them standing around when Jessica was off running. “Both of you!”     Scrambling around the car, Mommy Wu sat herself in the passengers seat while Emily was shoved into the backseat, courtesy of Kris. Taking his spot in the drivers seat, Kris forcefully shoved the seatbelt into the buckle before turning the car back around in a matter of minutes.     It was quiet in car, as no one spoke. Both Kris and Mommy Wu were busy looking for Jessica while Emily silently wiped her overflowing tears in the back.     Circling around the area, Kris intently scanned the streets and sidewalks for any sign of his girlfriend. Expecting to find Jessica within minutes, Kris became extremely aggravated when twenty minutes passed without a single trace of Jessica.     Determined to find Jessica, Kris kept driving around in hopes of seeing her. He needed to make things right and he needed to tell her that everything was all a misunderstanding.     A dreadful hour rolled by and Kris swerved the car to a stop on the side of the road. He gave the steering wheel a slam before burying his head into his arms. He mumbled a few vulgarities under his breath. They couldn’t find Jessica.     Mommy Wu was silent, her eyes still staring out the window, scanning every detail on the streets in attempt to find Jessica. She still had hope.     “Kris,” Emily suddenly spoke, breaking the momentary silence. “Are you okay?” she reached forward to touch him.     Kris raged from her touch, as he couldn’t keep his cool anymore. “Okay?! Does it look like I’m okay?!” he started to shout. “My girlfriend ran away and I can’t even find her! She wouldn’t even bother to talk nor touch me ever since last night! How the hell am I okay when I don’t have a damn clue as to where the hell she is right now?!” he roared, scaring both women in the car. “She could be hurt for all I know right now! Jesus Christ!” he ran his hand furiously through his hair, wanting to find Jessica already.     He was furious, upset, worried and even scared. Kris just wants to know that Jessica is safe, but not having seen a single hair of her for an hour ticked him off. He was about to go crazy. He misses his Jessica and it’s driving him insane.     Jessica’s legs finally stopped when she was completely out of breath. She was running through the busy sidewalks to avoid being seen. She knew that Kris was going to chase after her. If it wasn’t him, then it’d be Mommy Wu, but she didn’t want to face anyone at this point. She was tired and heartbroken. The tears never stopped flowing ever since she started to run.     Sitting herself on one of the park benches, she tried to catch her breath while wiping the endless tears away from her damp cheeks. Jessica curled herself up, bringing her knees up and hugging them. Flipping her hood over her head, she hid herself while she sniffled, trying her best to stop the waterfall of tears rolling out of her eyes.     When she collected herself, Jessica had someone in mind to talk to. The one person who she could trust her whole life with. Someone who had been there for her since they’ve met. Tiffany. Tiffany would know how to comfort her at a moment like this. Tiffany would know what to say.     Grabbing her phone out of her pocket, Jessica was glad that she had brought her phone with her. Dialing the phone number by heart, Jessica then pressed the phone to her ear, hearing the ring-back tone.     “Hello?” Tiffany’s voice greeted her.     As soon as Jessica heard her best friend’s voice, the tears spilled out immediately. “Fany…” she sniffled, trying to stop herself from sounding like a stupid crybaby.     “Sica, are you okay? What happened?” Tiffany sounded concern, quickly catching onto the sniffles and broken voice. “Did Kris do something?!”     Jessica nodded her head, “Mm…” she started to cry even harder, not caring if people at the park gave her weird looks.     “Where are you? Are you safe?” Tiffany questioned, as sounds of rustling paper and movement sounded over the phone. “Do you want me to catch the next flight there? I’ll can get there in three hours minimum to kick his for you.” Tiffany sounded completely angry.     “…Park,” Jessica sniffled. “I don’t know where…I ran away. I-I’m lost.” She suddenly realized.     “If you really need me there, I’ll be there Sica.” Tiffany spoke, completely serious.     Jessica shook her head, even if Tiffany couldn’t see. “No…it’ll be a waste.”     “Well, what do you want to do? Do you want to talk about it? Do you want to fly back here? Sica, I’m always here for you.” Tiffany reassured her.     “Talk first.” Jessica replied.     After explaining everything from her point of view, Jessica’s heart was clenching in agony. Being reminded of being crushed and hurt so badly just triggered her emotions to pour out in pain.     “It hurts, Fany. It hurts.” Jessica cried. “It really does. How could he just leave me?”     “Sica, if you really need me, I’ll be here. Do you want to fly back here? I’ll be there to pick you up at the airport. You can’t just stay there and continue to get hurt. I can’t let you stay there. If he hurts you so much, I can help you book a flight for tonight so you can come back.” Tiffany tried her best to comfort her over the phone.     Jessica buried her head into her knees, trying to reach a decision before speaking into the phone. “…I’ll come back.”     Kris and Mommy Wu had split up to find Jessica around the neighborhood by foot. Of course, instead of going back home, Emily followed Kris. Even after her breakdown, she still chose to stick with Kris. It’s become a habit after all those rejections she’s faced with Kris.     Striding in big steps, Kris needed to find Jessica. Emily had to quicken her pace to keep up with him.     “Kris, why are you still chasing after her when she clearly ran away from you?” Emily spoke, aggravated. “If she doesn’t want you, then she doesn’t.
