Author’s POV:

“Soojung, go to sleep already.” Jessica instructed as she hugged onto Krystal on the small white bed in the guest room.

Krystal’s giggles wouldn’t suffice. “I just can’t help it! All of them were so handsome and cool!” she continued to compliment the EXO boys. “Too bad Baekhyun was missing. It would’ve been so perfect if he was in the picture that we took.” She sighed before she started to giggle again.

Jessica smiled. “I’m glad you’re happy, but go to sleep. It’s already midnight. Kris is going to rage of I’m not back yet.”

Kris had reluctantly let Jessica go and accompany Krystal for a while. Jessica wanted to spend her last few hours of the night with her beloved little sister to catch up before Krystal would leave tomorrow.

Krystal scooted herself out of Jessica’s hug and faced her. “Unnie, you really like Kris don’t you?” she asked as she looked into her sister’s eyes.

Jessica’s lips curved into the smile immediately before nodding her head. “I do.”

Despite the darkness of the room, Krystal could see Jessica smiling, due to the small window adjacent to the bed. “I can tell that he really likes you too.” Krystal smiled happily. “Even if I call him an old man, I think Kris is really cool. He makes an awesome boyfriend for you, Unnie!”

Letting out a small laugh, Jessica patted Krystal’s cheek lovingly.

“Are you two going to get married one day?” Krystal suddenly asked. “He can be my brother-in-law!” she giggled.

Expecting her sister to laugh along with her, Krystal stopped her fit of giggles when she saw Jessica with a saddened expression on her face. Her sister’s eyebrows were locked and her eyes were starting to fill in tears.

“Unnie…why are you crying?” Krystal asked and hugged onto her sister worriedly.

Jessica sniffed and let out a short embarrassed laugh as she wiped away the tears. “Nothing. It’s just that I thought of you.” She patted Krystal’s head. “What’ll happen if I get married? I’ll be leaving you and you’ll be all alone.”

Krystal looked up at her. “Unnie. You’re not going to be leaving me. I’ll be with someone in the future too! Plus, anywhere you go, I’ll definitely be there with you too!” the younger one smiled at the elder. “I promise that I’ll visit you every single month if you’re married! You won’t be able to get rid of me!”

This time it was Jessica’s turn to giggle. “Thank you, Soojungie~”

“You should visit often when I move back in with mom and dad. That way you’ll get to see me a lot!” Krystal smiled at her brilliant idea. “Bring me snacks! Mom never lets me eat them! Oh! Maybe bring one of the boys over too!”

“Okay~” Jessica smiled. “Now go to sleep. I have to get back to Kris. I’ll come wake you up in the morning so we can help you finish pack.” Jessica gave a motherly kiss on Krystal’s cheek before lifting herself off the bed.

Krystal pouted. “I don’t want to go back~” she whined. “It’s so much fun here!”

“Sorry Soojungie~ It’ll benefit you. You’ll be able to concentrate on school.” Jessica made her way towards the door. “Don’t stay up giggling about the boys and sleep! I’ll be here early in the morning!”

Krystal shuffled her legs on the bed. “Now you reminded me!” she squealed happily.

Jessica laughed before walking her way out of the room and shutting the door behind her. Carefully making her way back up the stairs in the dark, she shuffled slowly until she walked into her bedroom, where Kris was waiting impatiently as he stared at the time on his phone in the dark.

Hearing the door shut, Kris turned his body to face the left side of the bed, where Jessica was climbing in. “It’s midnight.” He frowned.

“Sorry,” Jessica apologized as she flipped the duvet over her shoulder. “Soojung wouldn’t stop her endless excitement about meeting your friends.”

Pulling her into a hug, Kris snuggled closer to her and gazed at her face in the dark. His eyes narrowed, “Have you been crying?”

Kris would notice everything about her, down to the littlest details. No matter how much she would hide, he would always find out eventually. Jessica could never deceive him and she knew it herself. Kris was just too sharp about her. He loved her too much to ever let anything bad happen to her.

A frown appeared on Jessica’s face before she buried her face into Kris’s neck. She shook her head, fully aware that Kris wasn’t going to believe it.

“What’s wrong?” he asked, making her feel the vibrations from his deep voice.

“Nothing…” Jessica said in a small voice as she mumbled into his neck.

Pulling his head away from her, he looked at her with concern before placing a comforting kiss on her lips. He continued this until a smile appeared on her soft pink lips.

“Would you like to tell me now?” he whispered on her lips before attaching them with his one last time. Pulling back, he waited for her to speak.

“I was just going to miss Soojung…that’s all. I haven’t seen her in a long time and now she’s going to leave again.” Jessica bit her lip. “I wish I could’ve brought her around more when she was here.”

Reaching his hand over to her cheek, Kris pushed a loose strand of hair away from her face with a tender smile. “You can always visit her on your free time when you miss her. I’ll go with you.”

Jessica nodded with a smile on her face. “I’ll just miss her. That’s all.” She curled up into Kris’s embrace.

“I’m sure everyone would miss her. She was very mischievous but fun…even if she called me old.” Kris reassured with a hint of his complaint. “We still get along, even if I seem like a dad to her.” He chuckled.

Jessica laughed. “You two bicker a lot, yet you two seem to get along like that. Like brothers and sisters. Except that you are too old to be bickering with an eighteen-year-old.”

Kris’s lips curled. “She starts it first…” he murmured, making Jessica look up at him with arched eyebrows. “Never mind.” He breathed.

Jessica giggled. “It’s okay~ Krystal likes you anyways.” She mumbled before resting her head under his neck for comfort.

“What?!” Kris exclaimed with wide-eyes. “She does?! I got on her good side?!” he frantically asked, wanting to know if he finally got on good terms with the little Jung.

Jessica shrugged and rolled to her other side, wanting to keep Kris anxious. She continued to as she kept shut when he continued to ask her.

“Sleep, Kris.” She gave him a peck on the lips before resting her hand back on the pillow before beginning to doze off.

Morning came and Jessica didn’t fail to wake up early, just like she said she would. When she tried to get out of bed, Kris only held onto her tighter, pulling her back. She frowned, knowing how stubborn he could be, especially in the morning.

“Oppa, I have to get up.” Jessica poked his cheek as she looked at his sleeping face.

He hummed and held her tighter, not planning to let go anytime soon. “Stay.” He mumbled in his husky morning voice, which made Jessica smile and blush a bit.

“I have to help Soojung pack her leftover belongings.” She reasoned, as she slowly slid away from his hold, trying to be secretive.

“No.” he replied selfishly and tightened his hold, making Jessica stuck again.

Kris’s eyebrows furrowed when he felt Jessica wiggle slowly, trying to leave again. His arms released her, but quickly pulled her back by her hips. Pinning her down by her hips, he hovered over her with a smirk on his face.

Jessica’s eyes widened, as what he was going to do was unpredictable. “Kris…” she spoke softly, but before she could say anything else, Kris did the unthinkable.

Jessica’s breathing hitched as Kris was on top of her. Hugging onto his waist, she tightened her grip on his shirt while she bit on her bottom lip with a painful looking expression.

“O…ppa~” she managed to breathe out before struggling to catch her breath again.

Kris pecked the nape of her neck. “Sorry, Jess. I just had to.” He spoke with his deep voice, which was apologetic with a hint of regret, but he was satisfied.

Jessica whimpered. “Kris…”

“Hm?” he hummed, as he took in her lovely peach scent.

“Can you…” she began. “Can you get off of me now?!” she exclaimed. “Stop squishing me! I can’t breathe!” she started to slap her palms on his back.

Kris shook his head and continued lying on top of her, squeezing most of the air out of her, testing her lungs. “You’re just going to try escaping again! Plus, I’m helping you with your breathing again. It’s a win-win situation, Jess.”
