Two figures stand in shock in front of two people whom they tried to figure out. One is sitting by the edge of the bed, in pajamas while the other one is standing on her feet—shirtless.

From left to right, their eyes move in sync. Few blinks from here and there, it’s getting clearer and clearer.

 

“You…. “

 

“Op—who are you?” both youngsters step one forward, having the same questions.

 

One stranger

 

And

 

One familiar guy.

 

Coincidentally put in one place, having the same stare at them. How this happens?

Is it just coincidentally or… is it intentioned? Their favorite Oppa they thought was gone for South Korea is in the same place with them to this new student… or should they say, stranger?

 

“You…. O-Oppa?” Krystal’s gazes move intentionally towards the stranger girl, then to her favorite Oppa.

 

“Oppa? Why are you still here? And… and… who-who’s this girl? Why are you two in one place? Oppa?” Suzy who couldn’t take these scene in front was the first one to asked directly while Krystal was still in confusions, couldn’t understand how these happened to be in one place.

 

Yoong took a deep breath, glancing at his girlfriend for a confirmation for what he wants to do;  he was responded by a slight node. With that, he gazes up to the two youngsters again. Finding the right words to say, he took another breath and open his mouth to speak the truth.

 

“Krystal… Su-suzy… Umm… I know, this is really… surprising.” Yoong stutters, really find it hard.

 

“Oppa, I thought you were gone for Seoul tomorrow” but before he could continue, Krystal shot a gloomy statement at him. It was unexpected. The younger girl stares at him involuntarily. The stares for instance give him a biting of lip.

 

“Krystal… yeah… I was supposed to…” Realizing that the girl is strongly wanting him to explain, Yoong keep his composure. He keeps his wills to continue this unexpected event for them. After all, he was the man and should take responsibility. His girlfriend on the other hand, sat at the edge of the bed listening attentively to her boyfriend. She wasn’t staring at the scene; instead her eyes were on Yoonghyun. She wants to help her boyfriend, but thinking of how it will get more confusion, she chooses to stay silent.

 

“Unfortunately… “ Yoong continued. “It didn’t happen… because… Suzy… Krystal. My ticket was… left behind… and another reason was… ” He paused, to lay his eyes to his girlfriend. Smiling, he bends down to hold his girlfriend’s two hands and pulled her up. Seohyun smile a little to her boyfriend, and then to the two youngsters with a slight bow.

 

Krystal and Suzy saw the actions with a slight raising eyebrow. They keep their confusions in silence, to wait for the doe-eyed guy to explain everything.

 

“Krystal… “ Yoong once again bravely continued, holding his girlfriend’s left hand. “Suzy… meet Seo Joohyun, my girlfriend… she-she... stays at my room coincidentally. Reason why… I need to cancel going there.” feels like a thorn was being pulled off from , Yoong breathed so smoothly—waiting for the two youngsters to say something.

 

Suzy and Krystal’s mouth slightly open, running their gazes to the girl beside their favorite Oppa. Though it was obvious, the two youngsters couldn’t help and bring their eyes to Yoong again. Their mind was stuck at the information.

 

“Hey, Uh… nice to meet you girls.” All could Seohyun utters, as she stares at the two youngster’s innocent stare at her.

 

“Anyeong… u-unnie.” Suzy bows a little with the greeting. She nudges Krystal to do the same, but for some unknown reason, her best friend isn’t responding.

 

“Krystal? Did you told me once that you want to—“

 

“Oppa, I’m sorry. But I guess I need to go. I’ll see you later.” All eyes were in Krystal as she quickly left the room without even saying goodbye neither to Seohyun nor to her best friend. Yoong was surprised, and quickly have an eye-contact to his girlfriend—only to see the same from her.

 

“Oppa, I’m sorry with Krystal’s behavior I think I should go too. Umm… unnie? I’ll have my leave now. See you later?” Seohyun nod at the younger’s excuse and turned to her boyfriend once she was out of sight.

 

“Was that Krystal?”

 

Yoong nodded slowly not knowing how to explain everything in regards to Krystal. Seohyun also nodded, noting it.

 

"She seems a bright girl, Yoong."

 

Yoong giggle at the comment. "Yup! she is really. Wait... I think you should shower first. I'll prepare for our breakfast." He hurriedly went to the kitchen, but his girlfriend followed him suit, somehow want to say something with Krystal's behaviour earlier.

 

"You're not going to follow her, Yoong?" Yoong stopped at his tracks to turn to his girlfriend.

 

"Let's just take it easy first. She might be just really confused at the moment. It's still so early, there are still free time later."

 

"But... "

 

"No more buts, go shower now!" Yoong demanded, pushing his girlfriend out to the shower, closing the shower gently for his girlfriend. Seohyun could only smile at the demand.

 

"Have fun showering!" Yoong said, giggling.

 

"Yeah-yeah... and be sure to make the breakfast good for my stomach." came Seohyun's chuckle response.

 

"Arasso... arasso... you're going to forget your name after you'll taste  my cook." Yoong said, beaming too high, before he left his girlfriend and proceeds to make breakfast for them.

Seoul South Korea

 

6:20am

 

A tan guy was seen in his usual coffee breakfast with his favorite phone. Yes, you knew it. Yul was in his phone, thinking of how to response with his girlfriend’s question: What’s your plan tomorrow?

 

Yul’s smile can’t be place with the question. He keeps his mind busy on how to response. Honestly, he really just wants to ignore the question. But being Jessica’s boyfriend, he exactly knows what it could be mean if he chooses not to. He would be probably regretting if he will not.

 

“Hmm… “ grabbing the cup of coffee with his left, he took a sip of it while his eyes were fix to the device in his right. “I think this will do.” finally after 5 minutes of thinking, he brought back the cup of coffee to the table and typed something to response with the use of his two thumbs.

 

I’ll have my daily vocal routine with Dad, how ‘bout you?

 

Satisfied, he tossed his phone in the table with another sip to her cup of coffee. His lips curled into a smile, after hearing the beep of the phone. Grabbing it back again, a giggle was seen from him reading his girlfriend’s response…

 

Oh… I see. Nothing, just staying at home.

 

“She really thinks so?” Yul said, as he types back…

 

Don’t worry, after that, I’ll see you at at your house ^_^

 

He was answered immediately by Jessica saying…

 

Okay, I’ll remember that promise. Anyway, I’ll see you at the gym Yul. Good luck for your game! Fighting!

After having that conversation on his phone, Yul once again took another sip of his coffee with a beam to himself. Later, he will only have a practice for only 2 hours before the competition starts this afternoon. It would be perfect time to buy the thing he wants to for their first anniversary as a couple. Yup, Yulsic is turning one tomorrow. How happy he is at this thought. He’s excited, nervous, and all in one emotion was in his soul.

“Alright.” He decided to take his leave after that short conversation with his girlfriend in the phone.

In the road…

 

9:45am.

 

Yul take a note at the digital clock in his car, before his gazes diverted into the traffic jam. Being informed about the weather, he wore a thick brown coat along with another jacket under, a tight black jeans and a pair of black booths for winter season.

But for some strange reason, the weather is too hot unlike what he assumed. Though it was cold, the heat of the sun was pretty hitting him hard which explains how his been sweating inside his coat. Getting uncomfortable, he took his coat off and his jacket leaving him only with his white tee shirt.

 

“I’ll kill Jinwoon once I’ll see him.” He mutters, too disappointed to his friend who informed him. He should’ve listened to his instinct earlier in the morning at home.

 

The traffic was pretty heavy, to his dislikes. But he waited patiently. He needed time to relax anyhow after he had his last swimming practice with the team.

 

“Aish!” too bored after seconds, minutes passed, he took his phone out and calls his girlfriend.

 

[Cutie~ I’m at the kitchen right now, why are you calling?]

 

“Just really bored here cutie, traffic is hitting me hard.” He responded with a ruffle on her hair.

 

He heard some weird sounds first, before he heard his girlfriend’s voice back.

 

[Sorry about the long pause cutie, really having a busy works here. I’m at the University, having my last exams. You? I didn’t catch you here early. Where are you heading, the event will be in the afternoon right?]

 

“Uh… “ Yul paused, thinking of any reason to come up. “Umm… heading to Taeyeon’s work. Yeah… I am… Uh… haha!” he was really bad at being a liar.

 

[You seriously don’t know how to came up with a good reason, right?]

 

Face palm.

 

Yul sighed of defeat and just tell her the best lie he could. “Heading to the gym actually.”

 

[Silly, the gym will be open by afternoon. Where are you really heading?]

 

“Yah! I hate you! why do you know me too well?” Yul regretted for a second, knowing his girlfriend does know him too well now.

 

[I even know where I will tickle you every time we did it.] He heard her giggle, keeping him really disappointed. This will be hard. How would he surprise him for the anniversary? It will never be a surprise anymore if so.

 

“Fine, I don’t want to be liar here. I’m going out with another girl, how was that?” he asked too serious.

 

[Cutie~ sorry… but that can’t buy me.] Instead, he was answered by Jessica’s tease again. Instinctively, he ended the call right away, and then punches the steering wheel for so many times. He was pissed off; a little mad at himself because of how he can’t be good at lying to his girlfriend. He’s so eager to bang his head to the window out of desperation. But it could mean to hurt himself if he’s doing it, so instead, the steering wheel. The poor steering wheel which only give him for a drive.

 

“Yah!!!!” with one last punch to his steering wheel, he drops his back on his seat with a thud. “What am I going to do?” sighing in defeat, he took another glance at the digital clock.

 

“I have 30 minutes left to arrive there. Aish! Here goes nothing.” Pressing the pedal, he started his journey in a full speed the moment the traffic jam was over.

 

…

 

After another minutes of drive, he arrive at the store with the staffs greeting him. He was lead to an office, and immediately settles down in a couch. He took a paper at the coffee table and wrote everything he wants to do at that day… and at midnight.

 

“You sure you want to do this all?” a girl who is the owner of the store asked in confirmation after he has filled the paper with the things he needed.

 

He nodded too determined that he can surprise his girlfriend. Well, he wishes his girlfriend won’t think deeply to his conversation earlier, or it would be a fail surprise.

 

“Alright, just give us the cue on how and when, okay? Good day Mister… FallenAngel?” Yul chuckle at the name. it was the same store who he requested for his courting process for the younger girl way back a year ago. The store still remember him, really makes him feel so comfortable with them helping him in this 2nd surprises he was about to do with his girlfriend.

 

“Thanks! Looking forward for better result” he said and shook the handshake offering from the owner of the said store.

 

After some quite little chitchat there, he left the store with another place to visit—church.

It was another hour of organizing with the priest in the church, before he left them for another place—gym. Yes, he’s now good to go for the competition. His mood was perfectly fine with the things he done earlier in the morning.

Stretching her and there, from left to right, he swear he can move to semi finals and then to finals. Dongguk is his pride, and he will never fail them, except for his girlfriend. How fail he could be if the surprise will be a silly one for his girlfriend. That would be his latest fail of his life if so. Unlike his favorite maknae, Jessica is not sometimes into surprises.

 

“This. Is. So. Hard.” He mutters desperately. Sitting down in his bench, he still stretch his well build muscle—bending down from left to right. After done so, he escapes a long deep breath before he gradually took his shirt off and tossed it inside his locker. Then he proceeds to his pants, leaving him only with his swimming trunks. As he started to stretch his legs too, he was suddenly interrupted by his girlfriend’s figure on the side.

 

“Where have you been?” asked Jessica, watching her boyfriend stretching before him.

 

“I go around Seoul.” Jessica was taken aback. It was the cold a tone, she can feel it.

 

“Fine, I’m sorry earlier.” But she ignores it and approaches her boyfriend—reaching his hand. Yul surprisingly snap her hand away, making her regret with what she did. Yes, she really knows her boyfriend too well, but it’s not her intention to keep him feel like that, as if predicting something already.

 

“Yul… “ she still insist by sneaking her two arms dangerously to her boyfriend’s waist, feeling the hard toned abs over his stomach.

She proceeds on placing her chin in his shoulder, but the tan guy wouldn’t care and continued to check his goggles.

 

Jessica could feel it. The tan guy is really not in the mood. “Yul, sorry please… “She said once again.

 

No answer.

 

“Fine, after this preliminary round, I’ll treat you for a date.”

 

No answer.

 

Jessica thought for another one to make up with this guy. Usually, if he was the cold one, it was easy to make up with him by doing little things. “Uh… why not we go for a… ski date? Tonight? I have a good resort.”

 

“Let go.”

 

“Yes?

 

“I said let go.”

 

Thinking twice, Jessica slowly let go of her hold as she step backward away from her boyfriend. She doesn’t know yet what to react with this cold treatment, but she was hurt to be treated for the first time. He wasn’t like this earlier, as she can remember—keeping her confused. If it was about how she predicted her boyfriend, then it shouldn’t be a big deal. Why is he acting like this?

 

“I’ll see you later after the competition.” With that, Jessica found herself alone in the locker room—not knowing if she will follow him or not. All she could do is to sat in the bench and pull her phone out to message someone…

 

Fany-ah… what time are we going to do it?

 

Fany texted back…

 

Might be after lunch in that day. I already hired who will do it.

She closes her phone and tossed her phone back under her shoulder bag. Standing up, she left the locker room to settle down herself in the audience area.

She settles in between Taeyeon and Nicole, with the company of Jinwoon and Hyo too. She could see how the audience area is filled with Dongguk’s students. All were wearing their official green shirt in support for their team. The atmosphere was really that captivating for her to join some cheers, but she wasn’t going to join. Probably because her eyes were on her boyfriend’s side, still so worried with how the latter is treating her. She was silence in her seat, while her friends were pretty much shouting to cheer for Yul and Dongguk’s team.

Minutes passed, the game finally started. Jessica this time was diverted for prayers in her mind. Following her boyfriend’s good movements in the water is really that something. Her boyfriend was determined to grab this round so that it’ll be easy for semi and then finals.

It’s like an examination that she wishes for good standings from her boyfriend. Yul has been practicing for almost 3 months now, and this win could be really a big thing for him.

 

“Wow! Unnie, Yul Sunbae is really good.” Nicole commented.

 

“Go go go go!!! Yul opaa!!!!” suddenly a loud voice echoed the entire gym, which lead to the people’s eyes on her. Even Jessica looked up, to see a freshmen student waving her own banner in support. For instance, Jessica was disappointed that she couldn’t even work for any like a banner like that on her own. She was only praying for his win. Well, it’s matters most.

 

“God, please guide Yul.” She mumbles eyes still eyes fix to her boyfriend’s movements from left to right.
