When Minji sees the first snow with Hanbin at the park.

Jung Minji P.O.V.

I sat on the porch, cold, staring at the blank sky. 

"Give it up, Minji noona, there's going to be nothing. No white Christmas this year," My baby brother, Chanwoo said. I glared at him. 

"Go away, Chanwoo! There is going to be snow!" I shouted at him, even though my voice was thin from staying out in the cold for so long. Chanwoo just sighed and sat next to me. I scooted over to give him more space.

"Noona, we haven't had snow in so long over here, what makes it so special this year?" Chanwoo asked me. I glared at him. This kid always had good responses and witty remarks. He had no sense of humor, but he was blunt and took things literally. 

"He said snow would come," I whispered softly. I watched as a leaf fell to the ground, frozen. It was cold, cold enough for it to snow, but nothing, yet. 

"He? You mean Hanbin?" He asked. I even blushed at the sound of his name.

Hanbin was the guy I had a crush on for a while now. Once I moved to YG High School, he had actually been mean to me. I was always known to be quite odd and different from the other kids, it was nothing to be ashamed of, but others thought differently. He would tease me in the hallways, call me names, and the typical bully thing. He was a jock and was rumored to be in a gang, which I later figured out to me a lame group that they called themselves to make them look cool. I hated Hanbin for a while, yet I couldn't help look past his mean demeanor and see something soft and broken. I saw something different as I did in everyone else. I didn't even realize he was protecting me from others until his friend, Jinhwan pointed it out for me. Hanbin also protected my brother from guys who wanted to beat him up. I was always worried for Chanwoo, he was all talk, yet he couldn't do much. I felt as a noona, I was lacking. 

I started to like Hanbin after I constantly spent time with him. I mean, hate and love aren't too different from each other. I couldn't help but melt at his clumsiness and passion for rapping. I told no one about my secret crush because I knew Hanbin would feel uncomfortable around me, and I didn't want that. I knew he has never loved or been loved before. He was a fragile case. 

"Yeah, him," I spoke softly. Chanwoo scoffed.

"I have no idea why you even wait for something Hanbin told you to do, he's an ," Chanwoo mumbled. I knew Chanwoo didn't like Hanbin, but that's because he didn't know the kind actions Hanbin did for him like pick him up from school or chase off the kids who tried to attack him. 

"I know, Chanwoo," I said. I didn't know why I was waiting either, Hanbin has never been nice to me. But, I still always saw the good in people, I felt like if Hanbin said something, it would happen.

"You're crazy, Noona. Talk to me tomorrow at an earlier hour on Christmas," He said while rolling out of his seat. I sighed. I know I'm crazy, but try to deal with it, Jung Chanwoo. I looked down at my phone that was staring at me. 

"Already 11:30 PM?" I whispered to myself. I snuggled closer to the blanket that was wrapped around my body. I wasn't going to give up now, especially on how long I stayed up for. I usually go to bed early, but today was an exception. 

"Hey, weirdo!" I heard a voice call my name. I whipped my head around at the nickname Hanbin had given me. 

"Hi, Hanbin," I replied kindly. He scoffed. 

"Yah, why do you always have to reply like that? Huh? You're seriously so odd," He mumbled. I giggled at his words while he rolled his eyes. "Anyways, loser, it's going to snow on Christmas, are you going to stay up for it? It's supposed to snow at 1 AM on Christmas day, how exciting," He said while flailing his arms. I could tell he was not excited, yet I was excited at his words. My eyes brightened at the mention of snow and Christmas.

"Really? That I'm definitely going to stay up for that!" I said excitedly. He smirked. 

"Great, have fun, weirdo!" He said while waving me off.

"Just 1 and a half more hours to go!" I cheered to myself. I slowly felt myself growing tired, and more tired while sitting down. My eyes were starting to close, until I heard my phone ring. I quickly sprung up and grabbed it. 

"Yah, you're still up?" A manly voice asked. I smiled at the voice. 

"Yeah, are you staying up for the snow too?" I asked happily. He growled.

"Sure," He grumbled. He then said nothing else. "Do you wanna go to the park?" He asked hesitantly. I then thought about the question. I was getting a bit bored while just sitting here all myself. 

"Sure."

I quickly grabbed a winter jacket and flung it over myself. I thought my sweats and sweater were a good choice to wear out to this cold winter day. I also chose to grab the blanket I had already warmed up. I quickly and quietly tip-toed downstairs. No one was awake at this hour and I cheered silently. I slipped on my snow boots and exited the house. A smile was glued to my face the whole walk. I was so excited to see snow fall for the first time in a long time. I then arrived at the park Hanbin told me to meet him at. I looked around and didn't see him yet. I pouted and sat the bench. I put my hands in my pocket to keep them warm.

"Yah, why are you so early?" I heard a familiar voice call out. I turned quickly and saw a bundled up Hanbin with a puffy jacket, like me. I smiled.

"Hi, Hanbin," I said my usual greeting for him. He nodded and stood next to me. 

"You look warm," He said while scanning my attire. I nodded.

"I am, but so are you," I commented looking at his jacket. He chuckled. He then sat next to me and we cherished each other's presence in silence. "You seem nicer today," I noted. He then started denying right away.

"W-what? N-no! I'm totally n-normal, it's just another day!" He exclaimed in shock while standing in the process. I chuckled at his actions.

"Ok, Hanbin," I said softly. I then patted the spot next to me. "Sit down." He scoffed and complied with my words. He pouted and plopped down onto the chair. He then checked his watch.

"Hey, weirdo, it's Christmas," Hanbin stated. I then jumped up happily. 

"Really?! YAY!" I said excitedly. I grabbed his hands and pulled him up to celebrate with me. To everyone, it was no surprise that my favorite holiday was Christmas, instead of the presents, I cherished the happy moments being made. 

"Yah, stop being a kid and calm down," He said while pulling away from my hands. 

"Hey, are you blushing?" I teased. I knew he probably was, but I couldn't really tell. He then pulled away from me quickly.

"No, no! It's just cold and my face is red due to the coldness!" He exclaimed while pouting. I laughed at his antics and spun him around.

"Aren't you happy, Hanbin?" I asked while looking him in the eye. 

"Why should I?" He grumbled. "I live alone and once I go back home, I have no one to celebrate it with," He added. I grew sympathy for him. I patted him on the back while he just shoved me away. I knew he hated being pitied, but I could never imagine not having my family around me.

"I'm here with you right now, just take this as your Christmas celebration! And when it snows, that'll be even better!" I exclaimed while taking his hands to make him excited. He just looked away and sighed.

"Minji, it's not going to snow," He then abruptly said. I gasped while my heart broke. I felt like my efforts for staying up was just wasted.

"What? You lied to me?" I asked, getting choked up. His eyes then widened at my broken expression.

"I'm sorry, it was just funny playing with you, don't cry," He said while panicking. If I knew something that always freaked Hanbin out, it was girls crying. But, I couldn't help it! It was Christmas with no snow, I felt not merry anymore. I sighed, knowing it wasn't his fault though.

"Let's just go home then," I said while walking away. I wasn't in the mood to celebrate Christmas anymore, it felt like just a big waste to stay up this late. Especially because I'm going to waste half of this holiday just sleeping.

"W-wait, Minji, that wasn't why I actually wanted to talk to you today," Hanbin called out. I stopped in my tracks, not really wanting to hear what he had to say, yet I still turned around because he finally called me by my real name.

"What?" I asked, still bitter from his lies. He gulped and took a few steps towards me. 

"I-I just, uh, uhm, uhhh..." He started. I raised a brow as he stuttered. Kim Hanbin never does that. 

"Yes?" I felt impatient all of a sudden, like I never do. I couldn't help but feel betrayed he lied to me. I was so looking forward to seeing the snow but now I couldn't. Maybe it's childish to feel upset over something so silly. 

"I, uh, I just wanted to say.." He added. He ran his fingers through his hair and sighed, showing his breath through the cold air. "I wanted to say that I-I, really like you," He confessed with turning away from me. My eyes flickered from side to side and I felt my heart start racing. "I know I always tease you and stuff, b-but, I just did that because I was jealous on how strong you were how much you loved yourself. I wanted that to reflect me, but I knew I was nothing like you," He added. "It's fine if you don't feel the same way, I mean, I would understand." He then stared me in the eye. I said nothing, yet I was in complete shock. He then turned before I could say anything. "Just have a merry Christmas." He then walked away pitifully. I then felt the urge to laugh. I then ran up to him and hugged him from the back. 

I felt his movements stop and he turned tense. 

"I love you too, Hanbin," I confessed. He then whipped around and stared at me, wide-eyed. 

"What? Really?" He exclaimed excitedly. I nodded frantically.

"Yeah, I do," I confessed again. We then stared in each other's eyes, until I saw Hanbin lean forward. I then felt our cold lips meet, but this time they were warm. He kissed me softly, careful not to hurt me. I then deepened the kiss while he turned tenser. I knew he was shocked by my boldness. 

We stood for a while until we felt something soft hit our cheeks. Hanbin pulled away first in surprise. My eyes brightened at the sight.

"Hanbin, it's snowing!" I exclaimed, jumping out of his arms. 

"Wow, I didn't think this would actually happen.." Hanbin said while scratching his head. I giggled at his cute actions and pecked him on the lips again. 

"I know! It's so exciting!" I exclaimed while jumping around. I saw him look at me through the corner of my eye. He was just smiling and said nothing.

"I guess Christmas miracles do happen."

WOW, I felt that was really terrible. What even was that ending? Yeah I have no idea. I feel like that was terrible because I had so many ideas for this, yet I chose like all of the ones I had and put them in one scenario... 

Still, I love the holidays! They make me so happy! I enjoy spending time with family and just having fun! :D   Like the girl in this scenario, I don't really care about presents as the main point of Christmas, it's all the thought that counts. ^^
