“Slumber Parties Anyone?”

While two of the members are away in Tokyo, the other four have decided to do something for the fans as well as to cure their boredom. 

"Are you guys done changing yet?" Hakyeon shouted out as he came out first with a simple black T-shirt and sweatpants. 

"Done~" Jaehwan skipped over to the older. 

"We're here," the two youngest of the group also joined in. 

"What took you guys so long? We're only going to be lying down and pretending to go to sleep," Hakyeon reminded them of the purpose of this broadcasting. 

"It's our first time for LieV. We just want to look good, " Jaehwan said in a playful tone. 

"Blame it on Hongbin-hyung, he took my Pooh pillow," Hyuk pointed at the other who was hiding the pillow behind his back. 

"It's more comfortable so it's mine," Hongbin talked back. "Plus, that pillow face suits you a lot better."

"But I'm supposed to be Winnie the Pooh. Did you forget my costume for VNL?" Hyuk continued to make his point. 

"So?  I'm older so I get what I want plus you lost the other night during Overwatch," the older continued. 

"You two stop fighting. You can exchange it and take turns later," Hakyeon sighed. They have several hours before the live broadcasting yet already, he's feeling low on energy. 

"So why are we preparing so early anyways?" Hongbin asked. 

"You guys were the ones that wanted to get set up first."

"Hyung~" Jaehwan called out in an adorable tone, "can I sleep next to you during the broadcast?"

"Huh?  Sure I guess?" Hakyeon replied. 

"No way!" Both the younger ones said at once. 

"Why do you always get to stay next to Hakyeon-hyung? It's not fair," it was Hyuk's turn to whine. 

"Yeah!  I want to stay next to hyung during the live too," Hongbin shouted. 

"Guys, calm down. I can sleep in the middle or something," Hakyeon suggested. 

"That means..." 

The other three noticed it and glared intensely at one another in silence for a whole minute. 

Suddenly. 

"Rock, paper, scissors!" The three of them started to play a mini game by themselves to decide who gets to stay next to Hakyeon during the live. 

Hakyeon couldn't believe it and it was a complete face palm situation for him. He sat there on the side to watch and wait for the outcome of the intense game. 

Usually the game is hard enough if all six members of the group were playing it together. But when you put three of the most competitive members in one game and Hakyeon as the prize, the outcome could not be foreseen.

"Are you guys done yet?" Hakyeon asked as he let out a yawn. He's going to fall asleep before the live broadcast actually starts. 

"No!  Not until we're done," Hongbin shouted back and paid attention again to the game. 

After another ten minutes have passed, Hongbin was the first one out. 

“Nooo!” Hongbin stares at his hands still in the scissor gesture, his infamous gesture whenever they were greeting people because while everyone does the usual waving, he would secretly win with scissors. He’s won so many times yet it finally backfired on him.

”There, there,” Hakyeon patted the younger on the back who decided to hide himself in the corner and unable to watch the  outcome of the game.

Both Hyuk and Jaehwan were breaking down in sweat for some reason in this match and Hakyeon who was silently watching could only think about how ridiculous this was. On top of it all, time have passed so much that he was beginning to worry that they wouldn’t have any time to rehearse before the actual live. 

“Paper! Rock! Scissors!” Jaehwan and Hyuk called out at once.

Just then, the winner was determined. Both froze from the moment and trying to digest the outcome. One was in joy while another was in slight despair.

”Yes!” The youngest jumped in join and immediately dashed towards the leader. “I won, hyung!”

”Uh, yeah I can see that,” Hakyeon doesn’t know whether he should feel happy for the youngest or find it ridiculous at this point.

”Praise me,” Hyuk bent down a bit towards Hakyeon’s level and leaned forward with the crown of his head showing. Obviously hinting for a pat on the head. 

“Good job ... I guess,” the older went with it. “So can we get back to rehearsals now?”

”Yup!”

While the youngest was filled with joy, the other two was hiding themselves in the corner still reflecting on why they lost. 

“Com’on you two, stop it. Let’s hurry and practice already. We don’t have all day,” Hakyeon told them.

”I don’t feel like it anymore,” Hongbin buries his head between his knees as he hunched over his legs. 

“Can we skip this and go home,” the vocalist sighed and mumbled away.

”Don’t be childish you two. We have a job to do and you two are going to do it,” Hakyeon lifted the two of them off from the ground and dragged them towards the center of the room where the youngest was sitting and waiting patiently with his selca stick.

”Aren’t you happy?” Hongbin snarled at the cheeky maknae of the group.

Hyuk didn’t reply and simply stuck out his tongue to tease the older.

 Hakyeon always thought that the members were more mature and that he was the one who isn’t growing up and for the most part, that’s true. But whenever he’s involved, the members become ridiculously childish at the simplest things. He knows he’s respected and loved but sometimes he wish he wasn’t because when he sees s acting like kids in a sandbox, he’s at a lost of what to do. 

Eventually, the four of them decided on the formation of where to lay down. Hyuk who was the winner laid on the right of the leader whereas Jaehwan who came in second laid on the other side. Unfortunately for the game master himself, Hongbin was forced to lay the furthest away from Hakyeon. 

This was going to be their formation during the live broadcast but in the midst of their practice, one of the staffs came in to interrupt them.

”Let’s go guys,” she said and gestures the boys to get up and get going.

”Huh? Where are we going?” Hakyeon asked.

”The set of course. There’s no way we’ll have a broadcast here. Everything is set up already and we need to get you guys changed,” she replied.

”We’re not wearing these?” Jaehwan tilted his head in confusion. 

“Of course not. You guys look like you were at the gym or something. Not sleeping, com’on!”

The four of them was very confused and none of them even knew about the set changes. After they got to the set, they couldn’t help but be surprised at how decorated the entire place was for them.

”Wait, are we really filming here?” Hongbin asked to confirm.

”Yup! Now go get changed,” she pushed them into the change room with pajamas all ready inside for each of them. 

After they got changed and came out with much more comfortable pajamas, the four of them went into the center of the fully decorated set.

Trees and clouds, flowers and fake butterflies of some sort. The pillows were all laid neatly on  the floor and the bedsheets smelled of fresh laundry.

They should be really happy to get this sort of treatment but there was one thing that bothered them in particular.

“Noona, we’re not lying down to film?” Hyuk asked.

”What do you mean?” She asked back.

”The cameras...”

The members noticed the placements of the cameras mainly focusing on them from the front instead of the birds eye view which was rather strange and unexpected.

”Yeah, we had a change of plans. I think it’ll be easier for us to film you guys from the front and it’ll be interesting because it looks more like a slumber party since there’s four of you this time,” she answered.

”I see... but what’s with the pillows?”

”Hmm?” She was confused with what the actual problem was.

The four of them noticed that there were four pillows placed right the center instead of lined up like how they practiced it earlier.

”Oh, two of you will be on this side and the other two on the opposite side. Decide who goes where yourself okay? I’m sure you guys can do that right?” She had her faith for the four grown ups of VIXX, one of the most popular groups in Kpop yet the moment she turned away...

”Rock! Paper! Scissors!” 

Here we go again... Hakyeon chose to ignore the situation this time and say there on his spot to wait for the winners to be decided once again. 

Except this time, it was a life or death game as only one member could lie next to the leader during the actual broadcast.

A/N: This was actually written in two segments first when Hakyeon posted their selfies in his Twitter about getting ready and the othe when I was streaming the actual LieV broadcast. The almount of HaKen during the live though... let’s just say I’m very content that I screamed and teared up xD
