"Home Sweet Home"

Hakyeon woke up early in the morning as soon as his alarm went off. He turned it off before the second tone went and looked at the clock.

Only seven in the morning.

The mornings were quiet and there wasn't a single person for him to wake up.

Ah, right, I keep forgetting that I've already moved out, Hakyeon reminded himself as he looked around his apartment and realized how many rooms less his current place has compared to the VIXX dorms.

Hakyeon have been fairly busy with his drama schedule for 'Children of Nobody,' he has been going in and out of Seoul for his filming and his schedule was all over the place too. He continued to wake up on time and never once was he late for filming. He also got along with his co-stars and the directs for the drama all adored him. He felt happy whenever he went filming and seeing the familiar faces but when he got a chance to go home, he couldn't help but felt a little lonely inside.

Moving out on his own was his decision and though the members were a bit against it, no one really stopped him since he was the oldest of the group. Both Hyuk and Jaehwan often came to visit but as for the other three, neither have they came to visit or sent him a message about missing the leader. Hakyeon felt a little lonely and maybe even neglected.

Why can't they be more honest like Jaehwan? Hakyeon scrolled through his private messages and each one that were on the top was Jaehwan asking for the leader to visit the dorms one day since he missed having the older around. Hakyeon couldn't help but admit it, he almost gave in and went back to the dorms one night after filming.

Hakyeon have always hoped to be independent and get his own place after earning enough money but when his dream was finally realized, he couldn't help but feel that maybe he rushed his decision a little too early.

Should I have waited until after military services? No... I'll just miss them more and rely on them even more, I need to learn to let go before I can't anymore.

Hakyeon went to his filming location immediately after getting up and having a simple meal. It wasn't hard for him to get ready living alone because the bathroom was all for himself and no one was occupying the kitchen to fight for whatever breakfast they were going to have that morning. Hakyeon also didn't have to be in charge of waking up the others now that he lives alone. It was strangely too relaxing whenever he thought about it.

"Good work today," his co-workers all cheered him on as he finished up his filming.

"Hey, you free for a few drinks?" Lee YiKyung came over to Hakyeon as soon as he got changed.

"I don't know... I'm not good at drinking," Hakyeon hesitated.

"Don't worry about that. Just one, okay? You're always going home right away after filming so we rarely get a chance to talk," YiKyung pouted.

"Haha, okay I guess."

Hakyeon got a long with the cast members very well. Not only did all the children like him but even his seniors from the acting industry too. He played well with Kim Sun-ah, even though she was much more of a veteran in the industry than him. As for YiKyung, the two of them played roles that were opposites of each other yet once the camera stops rolling, they were like friends who have known one another for a long time. Filming was fun and Hakyeon enjoyed it a lot.

After a long night of talking and drinking, Hakyeon finally got to go home since everyone was drunk. He held back as much as he could drinking but he was still feeling a bit tipsy.

He called a taxi since it was late and the taxi driver sent him home that night to the address that Hakyeon held up from his phone.

"Good night, young man," the taxi driver said as he drove off and dropped Hakyeon off.

Hakyeon felt nauseous after the taxi ride and decided to hurry back to his apartment so he wouldn't throw up in the streets. He punched the pin on the door pad and took off his shoes at the entrance as soon as the doors opened.

He wobbled his way towards the sofa and laid there, too lazy to go back to his bedroom. As he laid on the sofa, he felt warm and comfortable again as he fell asleep. Somehow, he felt extra relaxed that night.

It's good to be home again.

Hongbin's alarm went off early in the morning because he made some arrangements to play a match of Overwatch with his friends later in the after so he had to make sure he was awake for it. He got up and washed his face, yawning a few times and then headed to the kitchen to grab a simple breakfast. Out of the fridge, he got a glass of milk but when he turned around to the sink, he noticed how much the dishes were piling up. The members have been very busy lately with their individual schedules so as soon as they finished their meals, they would end up leaving the dirty dishes behind.

Hongbin couldn't bear to see the dishes lying around so he rolled up his sleeves and started to clean. The dorm was messier than usual and no one cared to clean up the place either. Hongbin looked up at the clock and noticed that there was a lot of time left for him before the matches start so,  he decided to do some more cleaning. After the dishes and picking up some clothes that were scattered along the floor, he heard something or someone.

"Mmm..." the mumbling was coming from the living room.

Out of curiosity, Hongbin went to check who it was.

Is it Wonshik? Did he come back last night? Hongbin saw a pair of legs on the sofa and someone lying there asleep. But the figure was too small to be Wonshik. As Hongbin approached the figure, he was shocked to see who it was.

"Hakyeon-hyung?" Hongbin noticed his leader sleeping soundly on the sofa but why was the older here? Hakyeon moved out a month ago already and never once came back to visit the members either.

What's going on?

"Kong? You're early?" Jaehwan came out to the living room to hear Hongbin's cleaning noise. He rubbed his eyes and walked towards the younger while still half asleep. "What's wrong?"

"Hakyeon-hyung," Hongbin pointed at the oldest who was still asleep.

"What?" Jaehwan felt awake immediately at the mention of the leader's name and went to double check. "W-why is he here?"

"That's what I want to know too."

Both Jaehwan and Hongbin found themselves staring at Hakyeon in disbelief, neither was sure if they were still seeing things as to why Hakyeon was at their dorms.

"He smells like alcohol," Jaehwan leaned in and noticed the smell.

"What? But he never drinks," Hongbin said.

"I heard he goes out a lot with his drama crew after filming a lot from manager-hyung," Jaehwan told him.

"Then he must've gone drinking... why would he go drinking when he knows he's the weakest out of all of us when it comes to holding his liquor?"

Jaehwan shrugged.

"But seeing hyung like this, it's kind of cute, don't you think?" Jaehwan smiled as he looked at Hakyeon adoringly.

"Only you think that," Hongbin sighed.

"Admit it, you miss Hakyeon-hyung just as me," the vocalist teased. "You still make sure your noise level is at a minimum when you're gaming as if Hakyeon-hyung was still around. Don't think I didn't notice that you have a picture still taped behind your computer," Jaehwan laughed.

"How-..." Hongbin blushed. "Nevermind. Should we wake him up or something? It's probably uncomfortable sleeping like this on the sofa."

"Nah, doubt it. If you ask me, Hakyeon-hyung looks plenty comfy being back home," Jaehwan said. "I really wish he'd just move back in with us."

"Same," Hongbin finally admitted. "It's weird not having him around still."

"Right? Why'd hyung decided to move out so suddenly?"

"Didn't he say he wanted to be independent or something?"

"Then he could've done that years ago when Sejun-hyung told us that we can live separately. Hakyeon-hyung is the one who persisted in us living together so that we could build our teamwork, that's why we're still living together like this," Hongbin reminded them.

"True," Jaehwan said. "I never noticed how much I would miss hyung this much until he moved out. I can't get used to it."

Both Jaehwan and Hongbin ended up sitting on the floor next to Hakyeon while the leader was still sleeping on the sofa.

Hongbin looked at Hakyeon and unconsciously swiped the leader's bangs out of his face so that he could see the leader's face more clearly. He realized that they haven't seen each other that often because of their individual schedules.

"He's gotten skinnier again," Hongbin noted.

"Yeah..." Jaehwan also noticed and tried to poke whatever was left of Hakyeon's cheeks. "He needs to eat more and stay healthy. He's old now."

"Hah. Don't let him hear you," Hongbin chuckled.

"Hehe."

It was way past the morning and the sun was glaring through the curtains. Hakyeon could hear the familiar sounds coming from outside and the birds on the balcony chirping away.

He opened his eyes slowly to wake up but his head was pounding loudly from last night's drinking party. He felt a bit sick but strangely enough, he felt comfortable laying on his back and staring at the ceiling as he woke up. But then, he noticed something strange. A strangely familiar white ceiling and off-white painted walls next to him. He turned to his right side a little and realized he was sleeping on a sofa rather than his bed but the patterns on the sofa was strangely familiar, yet definitely not the one he had at home.

Wait.. isn't this?

Just as Hakyeon popped up from the sofa, he noticed something touching his legs and hands. As he turned around, he saw Hongbin and Jaehwan, sleeping with their heads on the sofa but sitting on the hard wooden floor.

"I...I'm back at the dorms?" Hakyeon had no recollection as to how he came back home. All he remembered was getting tipsy from drinking and eventually taking the taxi back to where he thought was his apartment.

Why are these two sleeping here? Hakyeon looked closely at the two Lee brothers and blinked his eyes in disbelief.

"Jaehwan-ah, Hongbin-ah, wake up. You can't sleep here," Hakyeon nudged the two sleepy members.

That's when Jaehwan mumbled something in his sleep.

"Hmm? What did you say?" Hakyeon leaned closely to listen.

"Welcome home, hyung," both Jaehwan and Hongbin said at the same time without realizing.

Shocked for a moment, thinking that he had heard wrong but then he wasn't able to hide his smile.

"I'm home," the leader and the oldest of VIXX said as he watched his two beloved members sleeping next to him quietly.

A/N

Who here watched Children of Nobody? Honestly, I believe this is Hakyeon's best drama and role since Sassy Go Go. It's true he doesn't appear a lot but each time he does appear, he gives off this lingering feeling of mystery to his character like you can't forget about his existence on the screen. He's really improved a lot and I think his role was really perfected by his musical experience as Matt in 'Interview'. Since I've watched 'Interview', I can tell you that there are really hints of Matt in Lee Eunho's character. I'm so proud of Hakyeon to be honest.

Also, all the bromance between Hakyeon and YiKyung... I'm sorry Wongeun but I might just have to replace you now LOL
