"Home Alone"

Everyone was away from the dorms. It’s been this way for a while now since the year began. Each and every member was busy with their individual schedules. The dorms are usually empty and quiet because everyone had work except for one person.

The youngest member sat in the living room, watching the fifth movie in a row, alone. He sighed.

“Maybe I should audition for a drama or something. This is so boring.” He turned off the movie and gave up watching it. He couldn’t focus on the plot anyways.

All five of the older members were gone for their schedules and Hyuk is always the only one at home, guarding the place. He took out his cellphone and skimmed through his text messages.

No replies.

He’s sent out quite a few messages to his friends in order to hang out with someone. He was getting tired of being alone and was thinking he might eventually go crazy if he was kept in silence for any longer. But everyone was busy with their own jobs and life.

Honestly, Hyuk is quite envious of the other member’s schedules. Wonshik is busy with his solos on top of collaborating with other rappers. Hakyeon and Hongbin have been filming for their dramas while Taekwoon and Jaehwan were doing musicals. But what about the youngest member of the group? He had nothing to do. His schedules were blank.

He went into his room and the computer to see if playing a few games would help him spare the time. But after a few matches, it was proven that playing the games alone was just as boring. He missed played Overwatch with Hongbin and friends. Lately, no one even had the time to play it. What if their rankings went down?

He sighed deeply.

Just then, he heard the front doors click open. With much excitement, Hyuk dashed to the entrance.

Maybe it’s Hongbin-hyung or Jaehwan-hyung? He was hopeful since those two were his favorite. But as he saw who it was that just returned, he couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed.

“You’re still here Hyogi?” The oldest asked as he took of his jacket and shoes.

“Mhmm.” Hyuk replied.

The oldest stared at Sanghyuk for a minute and smiled.

“I’m guessing you didn’t expect me to be the one to come home first huh?” He said.

“Huh? What? No-... I…” Hyuk stuttered, unable to hide his disappointment.

“Pfft. It’s okay. I know.” The older chuckled delightfully.

“Sorry,” he couldn’t help but feel guilty.

“Did you eat yet?”

Hyuk shook his head.

“Want ramyun? I know I can’t make it as good at Taekwoon but I haven’t eaten all day either, so let’s eat?” The older offered.

“Okay.” Hyuk agreed.

Hyuk helped the oldest prepare the dishes and assisted the leader as much as he could since he wasn’t a great cook at all. He was just glad that he didn’t have to eat alone.

“How is it?” Hakyeon asked as the two sat at the dining table and eating from a single pot.

“It’s good.” Hyuk said as he slurped the noodles down.

“Were you home alone for the entire day?”

Hyuk nodded sadly.

“Did you miss me?” The older grinned.

Hyuk glared at the older’s joke.

“Not you.” Hyuk teased.

“Aww~”

“How’s filming for the drama?” Hyuk decided to ask.

“It’s doing okay.”

“Aren’t you filming two dramas right now? Isn’t it hard to film Perfect Tunnel?” Hyuk said. The title Perfect Tunnel was a joke amongst the members since their leader was filming both Tunnel and Perfect Wife at the same time.

“Kind of. I sometimes get mixed up with my script because of it.” Hakyeon laughed at himself. “But at least I don’t have much lines in Tunnel so I’m a bit safer that way.”

“But aren’t you filming some really intense fighting or chasing scenes for that drama? I saw some of the behind the scenes on the internet and you had bloody make up all over your face.” Hyuk worried.

“It’s not bad. It’s quite fun.” Hakyeon said. “So, you’ve paid attention to my news?”

“Uh…”

Hakyeon looked at Hyuk for a second and couldn’t help laugh at the precious maknae. He ruffled at Hyuk’s hair and smiled. Hyuk was surprised at Hakyeon’s gestures but he didn’t dislike it. In fact, he liked it more than he thought. It’s been so long since he’s spent any time with any of the members and well, he’s been longing for affection.

“Are you going back to filming later?” Hyuk asked.

“No, why?” Hakyeon asked back.

“Then can you… stay with me for the rest of the day? I just…” Hyuk hesitated for a bit. “Don’t want to be home alone.”

Hakyeon ruffled Hyuk’s hair once more but more excitedly.

“Sure! Anything for our Hyogi!” He said.
