Chapter 9

Masks

It was mid November already, and the weather started to get colder. The leaves were already falling from the trees and the nature changed it's color to brown.

I walked down the empty street, passing by the empty garden. It was cold, so I wrapped my arms around my stomach in an attemp to get a little warmer.

I felt a pair of warm arms hugging me as well, giving me some warmth. Their body got closer to mine, getting rid of the space that was between us a few seconds ago.

I took a deep breath, inhaling the sweet scent that came from the person hugging me. It smelled like ramen, a bit of sweat, and chamomile. It sound weird, but it mixed well together.

I wanted to turn around and face him, but the other person stopped me. His grip on my hands tightened, and he pulled me closer to him.

"Stay like this.." He whispered in my ear, and I felt shiver going through my body. It wasn't the cold this time, it was his deep voice.

I closed my eyes, savoring the moment. I wanted to stay like this a little longer. It felt comfortable and I felt like I belonged there.

"Don't go.." I asked.

"I won't." He promised, still hugging me.

I took a deep breath once again, and the hands wrapping me disappeared. I was all alone in the cold.

I woke up trembeling from cold. I covered myself with my blanket and looked around the room just to find out that my lovely roomates left the air conditioner working, and the temperature was low. Too low for this kind of weather. It was still November.

I groaned and got up, wrapped in my blanket, to turn the air conditioner off. I checked the time and smiled to myself when I saw that I still have another 10 minutes until I needed to wake up.

I sat on my bed, thinking about the weird dream I had. I've been having this kind of dreams since I got the letter from Yongguk. Everytime the dream is similar - He appears out of nowhere, help me, I get comfortable, and he disappears again. I sighed. My subconscious is probably trying to tell me something, but what?

My alarm clock rang and brought me back to reality. I need to get to the company, hopefully I won't see him today as well.

When I entered the company I bumped into Sumi. She just gave me an annoyed look and walked away. At least she is not doing anything, and it's better then fighting with her.. I can live with her ingnoring me.

Vocal practice was hard.. They decided that we need to improve our stamina and out ability to sing while dancing, so all the vocal training was made while running on treadmill. I succeeded running 8 km when the vocal training ended, and although I was exhausted, at least I didn't need to work out afterwards, so this all thing had another advantage.

I flooped down to the floor in the gym, holding my water bottle tightly. After I finished drinking all of it I threw it into the recycle bin and went to wash my face at the restroom.

"Did you do the treadmill vocal practice?" Sey laughed upon seeing my red face and my hair and clothes that were drenched with sweat.

"Yes.."

"How much did you ran?"

"8."

"That's pretty good.. When I first got here my legs gave up after 3 km, and even now I'm barely doing 5 km.."

"At least you improved.."

"Not by that much.. But I can see why they like you.. Your'e good at everything." She smiled.

"I'm average."

"Yeah yeah.. Good luck with the dance practice tho, I heard Gun is in a bad mood today." Sey said and patted my back.

"Thanks." I sighed and Sey walked away, leaving me by myself.

She was right, Gun was indeed mad. He just took out all his anger on me and Yujin. I think we did the same routine for the 100th time now, and he always stopped us for weird reasons that didn't even make sense.

When the day was finally over I walked out of the company. I noticed that there were a bunch of girls near the door. I ignored them, thinking they were fans that were waiting for B.A.P, because that's what usually happens.

I passed by them quickly when one of them grabbed me. I looked at her annoyed, wanting to know why she stopped me, but before I could react something hit my head and everything went blank.

Sey called Hyeri for the billionth time now. It was strange she didn't pick up her phone..

She knew Hyeri was supposed to finish practice at 21:00, and they were supposed to meet afterwards to make Yujin a birthday cake, and she wouldn't be late without informing her.

It was 23:30 by now, and there was no sign of Hyeri in the dorm or in the company, and Sey started to get worried.

"Hey, have you seen Hyeri today?" Sey asked Sumi when she came back to the dorm.

"In the morning, why?"

"Nothing.." Sey answered and continued pacing around the living room. She didn't see Sumi smiling to herself while walking into the bedroom.

I woke up with a headache. I touched the hurting spot on my head, just to feel blood. I looked around me. I was lying on the ground, in what looked like a bunch of bushes.

I looked at my clothes - I was fully dressed with the clothes I had on before, and it didn't look like they've been touched. On my lap I saw a note. I picked it up, reading the sole sentence that was printed on it - "This is your last warning."

I stared at the note confused. It was printed, so there is no way to identify the writer. I sighed and stuffed the note into my sweatshirt pocket. I checked the rest of my pockets. My phone, wallet and the rest of my stuff was still there, untouched.

They didn't take anything and it didn't look like they touched me either, so what did thay want?

~

Himchan was in the practice room when his phone rang. He smiled brightly when he saw who was calling him.

"What do you want now, nuisance?" Himchan teased the person on the other side of the phone.

"Not now, Himchan."

"You called me.."

"Not for this.."

"What's wrong?" Himchan understood he should stop playing around and be serious because she sounded pissed off.

"Have you seen Hyeri lately?" Sey finally asked.

"I thought she can't come see us, so why would she be here?"

"I know, I just wanted to make sure.."

"What's wrong?" He asked again. The tone of her voice made him worry.

"Yongguk haven't seen her as well?"

"No, he was with me all day." Sey sighed.

"She was supposed to be home a while ago and she is not answering her phone."

"Maybe she stayed in the practice room or her phone battery died.."

"Her phone battery didn't die, the phone is still ringing.. She is just not answering it."

"So maybe she didn't hear it.. It happens if there is a lot of noise around." He tried to reason.

"I hope so.."

"I can check around the comapny to see if she is still here.." Himchan offered.

"Are you sure it's ok?" Sey hesitated. She knew he is busy and she didn't want to disturb him.

"It's fine." He smiled. "Are you going to tell Jinu?"

"Not now.. She probably have a good reason, and I don't want her to get kicked out."

"That's good. I'll call you back if I know something."

"Thank you."

"Anything for you.." Himchan smiled.

"So chessy.."

~

When my head hurt less I slowly got up, cleaning the dirt and the sand from my clothes. Now I could look around to see that I was in an empty park, but from the looks of it, it wasn't the one near the company. Where am I?

I took out my phone again. It was 00:00 by now. I must have passed out for a couple of hours. I had 15 missed calls and 20 text masages, all from Sey. I sighed and stuffed my phone back to my pocket. I don't have the energy to talk to her right now.

I walked down the streets. Drunk people were starting to pop out in different corners. I passed by them fast, hoping they won't notice me. The last thing I need right now is some drunk guys bugging me. When I got to a more crowded street I noticed people were looking at me weirdly. Not surprising, since I probably looked like a mess.

I walked for another half an hour until I got to a familiar area - the company. I glanced at the enterance, the last place I can remember before waking up in that park, and continued making my way to the dorm.  I was able to take one more step before I heard a familar voice calling me.

"Hyeri?" Himchan asked. I turned around to face him, just to find out that the other five was there as well.

"W.. What?" I stuttered.

"Where were you? Sey was looking everywhere for you.." He sounded worried.

"I'm.. I'm sorry.." I stared at the ground.

"Come on, let's go to your dorm. She is probably going crazy right now.." He tried to smile.

"I'm fine." I said quietly.

"If your'e fine then let's go." He didn't give up.

"I'm going to go by myself." I turned around and started running away from them. I don't know how I got the energy to do it, but I had to. Uf I go with them they'll probably question me, and I can;t tell them the truth. In this case, the truth sound like a lame excuse..

"Wait up!" Jongup ran after me and grabbed my hand, turning me around. I stared at him blankly. "You can't go home alone, it's late."

"I'm fine, I'm a grown up person and I can take care of myself."

"Than why are you acting like a kid?" Yongguk asked and glared at me.

"I'm not." I shrugged.

"Do you really want to argue about it right now? I have plenty of ways to prove you wrong."

"No one asked you to worry about me, so even if I'm being a kid that's none of your buisness." I glared at him.

My phone rang and stopped Yongguk from answering me. I knew it was probably Sey, but I was happy my phone rang and saved me for arguing with him more. I don;t like fighting with him, or with anyone.

"Hey Sey.." I answered the phone.

"Where are you? Where have you been? Are you okay?" She showered me with questions.

"Relax! I'm at the company, I'm coming." I said and hung up before she could respond.

"I'm leaving, good night." I said to the boys and started running again. This time the boys left me alone.

~

When Hyeri took out her phone, a piece of paper fell out of her pocket. She didn't notice, but Yongguk did. When Hyeri was far away from them and the other boys weren't looking he picked it up. This is your last warning.

Author's Note:

A little shorter episode because I didn't have muse, and it's a good point to finish the chapter.

I'm sorry it's lame, but this is the best I can do right now :\

The next chapter will be uploaded during this weekend, and it will be in a normal length and not lame like this one :)

Thanks for reading!

Chapter 156: Wow, I was blaming both of them at 1st, as things could’ve been handled so much better on both sides. I loved how Himchan & Sey reasoned with both of them, but Hyeri crossed a line once Yongguk apologized. I didn’t feel she necessarily deserved it, but I knew they both needed it.... sure the way he apologized, did seem like a back handed apology, as her kissing technique could’ve been discussed privately. But Hyeri towards Himchan, she needs to make this better, and of course, he hit below the belt, but she had consistently hit below the belt prior & then to hit him!!! I’m not sure how this is going to turn out, thank you for updating!!

Chapter 156: I still one hundred percent believe that this entire situation is one in which Hyeri is very much at fault. I don’t think Yongguk is in a position where Hyeri requires an apology and I don’t think Hyeri even DESERVES an apology. She completely blew a small and minor incident out of proportion.

I do believe that Himchan went slightly too far with the comment he made however Hyeri shouldn’t have been as horrible to him as she was.

Chapter 155: Welcome back!!!!!!!!!!! I was BEYOND happy to see the update, wow so much happened, where to begin? I see Hyeri & Himchan are still at each other’s throats, I do wish they could get along, and that Hyeri would see the validity in what Himchan said, but no matter what, I think time stopped when Yongguk said Sumi was a better kisser. I felt bad, that super slam, even if honest, that was the time to lie. Especially knowing Hyeri... I was shocked she would kiss him after that was said, and kept thinking why does kissing Yongguk keep coming up, even after he said she wasn’t as good of a kisser. .... sighs, once again, he’s storming out and even with his stupid honestly, I can’t say I blame him. Thank you so much for coming back & for updating,

Chapter 155: WOOP WOOP!! MY FAVE FANFIC IS BACK!!! And OMG this is spicy as hell. I just wish Hyeri would stop being a drama queen and finally realise that she needs to get some help and that Yongguk loves her.

Chapter 153: Thank you for updating despite your busy schedule. I truly hope that Hyeri is ok! She let a lot of things off her chest the night before, and while I do wish she would've thought of the impact her leaving like that would have, I hope they catch her in time before she does something that would change all of their lives. Regarding the comment I just read, there's a difference between constructive criticism & just plain being rude. While it's true, being factual or doing some research on weightier subjects is a good rule of thumb, most of us are adults that don't use fanfics as our barometer of social issues. Assuming what someone's language is, was completely unnecessary to state. You don't have to read the story, if you're a writer, you should understand what it takes to create, upload & continue a story remembering details from previous chapters...etc. If you're not a writer, perhaps you should put yourself in the author's shoes before you begin.
