Chapter 2

Masks

Day 1:

I walked into TS Entertainment's building with my bags. This was the first day of training.

"Hey.." I approached the secretary, who looked pretty bored. "I'm a new trainee.."

"Hello. Your'e Hyeri, right? Iv'e been waiting for you." She smiled.

"Yes." I smiled back.

"Come with me." She signaled me to follow her while she went into one of the rooms. Jinu was already waiting there.

"Hey." I said to Jinu.

"Nice to see you again, Hyeri." Jinu smiled. "I didn't introduced myself properly in the auditions.. I'm the trainees manager, meaning I'm responsoble for all the trainees in the company."

"Oh. Nice to meet you." I smiled. So this is it.

"I want to talk to you a little bit to make sure we are clear about the rules. If you have any questions ask me."

"Ok."

"You are going to be living in a dorm with the other female trainees. There are already 4 girls living there, your'e the last one to join for now. You are living in the same building as our male trainees, but it is prohibited for boys and girls to be in the dorms toghether. If you want to hang out with them there is other places for that. Strangers are not allowed in your dorms as well. If you get caught your'e out, and the same goes for the boys. Understand?"

"Yes."

"Good." Jinu smiled. "Come with me, I'll show you around the comapny." He stood up, and I did the same.

We walked around the building and Jinu explained about the different rooms. Appreantly the actual artists of the company use the two lower floors, and the trainees need to stay in the third floor. Wer'e not allowed to mix with the artists if wer'e not told to do it.

There is a gym in the basement, but since we share it with the artists as well and because we have strict scheduels we are only allowed there in certain hours, just for the trainees. Why are they so pressed about us not meeting the other people over there? It's not like we will hurt them or distract them, it's the other way around.

The cafeteria seems nice. Looks like they have a lot of different kinds of food, and a lot of dietetic and healthy food as well. There is also a playroom for relaxing, but trainees are not allowed to be there since it's in the second floor.

"You will have a weekly evaluation by your vocal and dance teachers, and there is also monthly evaluations in front of the staff of the company. I will explain it in detail when we get there. There is also health checks on a regular basis and you need to stay in a certain weight we decide. You can't eat what you want anymore."

"Ok.." I mumbled. So is this how it's going to be from now? living in a military discipline?

"Do you have any questions?" Jinu asked when we finished the tour in the company.

"No."

"Great." He smiled. "If you don't understand something remember to ask me."

"Ok."

"Let's go to your dorms now.." He said and we took my bags and got in the car.

After a few minutes ride we stopped in front of a 3 story building. The building looked a bit old, but you can't judge a book by it's cover, right?

My dorm was in the first floor, and Jinu told me the male trainess are in the second floor and that there are six guys living there. They are supposed to be the next B.A.P or something.. As if that's easy. You can't beat perfection.

The appartment was empty. It looked big and cozy, and not like a hostel room like I expected it to be. It had a kitchen, big bathroon, a living room with couches and a flat TV, and a bedroom with three bunk beds. All the lower beds were occupied by the other girls, so I went to one of the upper ones that were free. I hate sleeping up there, but I guess I don't really have a choice..

"The other girls are practicing, so you'll meet them at night. You have the rest of the day free to yourself to organize your things and get used to the dorm and your training starts tomorrow. Here is your schedule for the rest of the week." He said and handed me a few papers filled with charts and details.

"Ok."

"I'll be leaving now, call me if something happenes or if you need anything, my phone number is over there."

"Ok, thanks."

Jinu left, leaving me alone in my new home. I'm curious about the other girls..

~

"Guys!" Himchan stormed into the practice room where the other boys were resting after rehearsing since morning.

"What happened?" Daehyun asked.

"There is a new trainee." Himchan couldn't hide his smile.

"Really?" Youngjae asked. "How do you know?"

"Yah! Don't you already know I have connections? and the secretary loves me. She will do anything I want if I flirt with her a little.." Himchan said proudly.

"How is that a good thing? You are just using her for your own good." Yongguk sighed.

"For our own good." Himchan corrected him. Yongguk shruged. It's useless trying to talk to him.

"So how is she?" Zelo asked.

"She is a bit old.. But she is really good. I heard she did a somersault in her first audition and that she sings well."

"A somersault? Girl's usually don't do it.." Jongup said.

"Exactly." Himchan said.

"How old is she?" Yongguk asked.

"Now your'e intrested?" Himchan . "She's 22."

"That's weird for a trainee.. She must be pretty good if they took her.." Youngjae reasoned.

"It will be nice to have a girl who can dance hip hop, the other girls only do cute dances.." Jongup said, and zelo nodded in agreement.

"How does she look?" Daehyun asked.

"Aren't you dating already? Why are you asking about that?" Youngjae asked, glaring at Daehyun.

"Shhh! Wer'e not dating. And lower your voice, what if the manager heard you? I'll be dead meat, and the poor girl as well.." Daehyun glared back at him. "Besides, dating doesn't mean I don't have eyes, you know.."

"Idiot." Youngjae muttered. "If your'e not dating I'm the queen of England. And be respectful for your girlfriend, will you? Stop staring at other girls."

"Jealous?" Daehyun teased. "And I'm not staring. I'm a pretty good boyfriend when I'm dating."

"Don't make me laugh."

"She is pretty." Himchan said in order to prevent Daehyun and Youngjae to argue further.

"So superficial.." Yongguk sighed. "There are other stuff other than beauty. You have no idea in what to look for in a girl.."

"Want to bet that you'll marry a supermodel in the end?" Himchan teased, making everyone laugh. "Our precious leader can't date just anybody, she need to be a complete angel.."

"Shut up."

"Hyungs.. Let's go back to practice.." Jongup said while streching a little bit.

"Yes, we have a comeback to do." Zelo continued, and the boys slowly returned to doing their routine for their new song.

~

21:30. I watched TV in the living room after I organized my stuff and took a short nap. I changed the channel to a rerun of M! Countdown. Most of the songs were actually good this time.

"Ah! So tired!" A girl entered the appartment while streching her arms. She didn't seem to notice I was there, so I examined her. She was a little taller then me, skinny, and had a black hair, pale skin and a small face. She looked like a ghost because of the contrast between her hair and her skin color.

"Hmm" I cleared my throat so that she can notice me.

"Oh." She looked surprised. "Are you a new trainee? Jinu didn't say anything about it.." She said while staring at me.

"Yes.. I arrived today. I'm Hyeri." I smiled.

"So your'e the princess.." She said quietly.

"What princess?" I asked confused. What is she talking about? The ghost girl sat on the couch opposite me.

"I heard some of the staff talking about you.. They said you are extremly talented and it looked like they marked you already.."

"Marked me?"

"To be the next big thing or something.. It's like your'e their favourite trainee now, The company's princess."

I was dumbfounded. I am really not that talented and I don't have any intentions to be treated differently.

"I don't know what to say.. I'm really not that good and I didn't do it on purpose." I started apologizing.

"Well, we will see about that.. I'm Sey, nice to meet you." She smiled warmly and offered me her hand for a handshake. I was grateful she didn't hate me because of that becuse it wasn't my fault. "Be careful though, Sumi will be pissed."

"Sumi?"

"She is one of the trainees here, and she was the manager's favourite until now. I don't think she will be happy to give that position up."

"Oh.." was all I could say. What can I do if they like me? It's not like I planned it or anything..

"Did you eat already?" Sey changed the subject.

"Yes, I ate a while ago. I made a salad, it's in the white bowl in the fridge if you want to eat."

"Thanks" she smiled. "You should get used to eating it all day, everyday."

"I know.." I sighed. This is going to be the hardest part for me - the food.

"I'm going to take a shower because I'm sweaty after practice.. I'll eat afterwards. Thanks." Sey said and walked into the bedroom. At least she is nice.. I hope the other ones will be nice as well, although what Sey said about Sumi scared me a little.

The evening passed by and I talked to Sey a little more. She is training in TS for two years now, and she is 20 years old. She used to dance modern dance since she was a kid, and she raps in her free time. Great combination..

Sey told me about the other girls as well:

Sumi is here for a year now and she's 18. Her specialty is singing and ballet.

Yujin is a 19 years old. She is a trainee for half a year and she plays a lot of instruments, sing and rap. She can't dance that well.

Eun Hee has been a trainee for the longest - three years. She is 21 and good at singing and jazz dance.

23:00. The other girls came back to the house as well, except for Sumi. Eun Hee said she stayed in the practice room to work on her dance. The other girls seem nice as well. I'm sleeping above Sey, which is good. Yujin is sleeping above Eun Hee, and Sumi sleeps alone in the remaining bunk bed.

After talking for a while we went to sleep. Everyone have different schedule for now according to the weaknesses and strengths of every girl. My schedule starts at 7 in the morning, meaning I have to wake up at 6. Fun.

Day 2:

My alarm went off. I got out of bed slowly and went to the bathroom to brush my teeth. The other girls was still sleeping, and Sumi was back as well. She was sleeping soundly in her bed. I couldn't get a good look at her, but from what I saw she is stunning. She is blond and look like a barbie doll.

The first thing in my schedule was the nurse and afterwards Jinu gave me a list of foods to eat, aka - my new diet. I'm going to starve to death at this rate because there isn't anything that can satisfy my hunger.

Dance lessoms, vocal lessons, manners lesson, workout at the gym - everything went by so fast and soon it became 20:00. I actually saw a few of the other trainees as well, and it was nice not being alone all day.

Day 3:

"Hyung!" Jongup called Himchan.

"What is it?" Himchan asked. He was in the middle of doing their routine fot the 15th time now. He just can't do it properly.

"Do you want to go for a little walk?"

"Where?"

"To the third floor.." Jongup said innocently with an angelic smile. That is his charm. He can tell you he wants to kill you, and you will probably willingly sacrifice yourself when he smiles like that.

"The third floor.." Himchan repeated after Jongup and smiled when he realized his intention. "Let's go."

Unlike usual, the third floor was quiet today. The only noise that could be heard was music from one of the practice rooms. It seems like everyone else was having schedule elsewhere, which is not likely to happen because the company has a lot of trainees at the moment.

Himchan and Jongup got closer to the practice room and opened the door a little.

"Oppas!" Sumi called out when she noticed Himchan and Jongup near the practice room. "What are you doing here?" She amiled.

"Just.. we came to look around a little" Himchan said.

"On the third floor?" Sumi questioned. They usually don't visit this place.

"Yes." Himchan smiled brightly, trying to make her stop asking useless questions. His charm always work on women, and Sumi is not an exception.

"Ok.." She trailed back.

"We should go.." Jongup said.

"Yes, we should. We need to practice and you need to help me with the choreography." Himchan took the chance to get away.

"But oppas!" Sumi whined. "Now I won't see you again.."

"You'll see us at the evaluations." Himchan said calmly.

"Promise?"

"Yes. All of us will be there."

"Ok then.." Sumi now smiled brightly, and the boys went back downstairs.

"Good thing we avoided her.." Jongup said when they were alone.

"Yes.. she became really annoying lately.. " Himchan sighed.

"And she ruined our plan.."

"We have tomorrow, and the day after, and if that doesn't work there is still the evaluations.."

"Your'e right."

Author's Note:

This chapter is a little longer because I got carried away with the first day.. But the administrative stuff and the background is important.

I think I introduced all the characters for now..

A little more B.A.P this time :)

I know Daehyun looked like some kind of here, but he is not.

I'm always happy to recieve feedback (of any kind), and thanks to those who subscribed to the story.

Chapter 156: Wow, I was blaming both of them at 1st, as things could’ve been handled so much better on both sides. I loved how Himchan & Sey reasoned with both of them, but Hyeri crossed a line once Yongguk apologized. I didn’t feel she necessarily deserved it, but I knew they both needed it.... sure the way he apologized, did seem like a back handed apology, as her kissing technique could’ve been discussed privately. But Hyeri towards Himchan, she needs to make this better, and of course, he hit below the belt, but she had consistently hit below the belt prior & then to hit him!!! I’m not sure how this is going to turn out, thank you for updating!!

Chapter 156: I still one hundred percent believe that this entire situation is one in which Hyeri is very much at fault. I don’t think Yongguk is in a position where Hyeri requires an apology and I don’t think Hyeri even DESERVES an apology. She completely blew a small and minor incident out of proportion.

I do believe that Himchan went slightly too far with the comment he made however Hyeri shouldn’t have been as horrible to him as she was.

Chapter 155: Welcome back!!!!!!!!!!! I was BEYOND happy to see the update, wow so much happened, where to begin? I see Hyeri & Himchan are still at each other’s throats, I do wish they could get along, and that Hyeri would see the validity in what Himchan said, but no matter what, I think time stopped when Yongguk said Sumi was a better kisser. I felt bad, that super slam, even if honest, that was the time to lie. Especially knowing Hyeri... I was shocked she would kiss him after that was said, and kept thinking why does kissing Yongguk keep coming up, even after he said she wasn’t as good of a kisser. .... sighs, once again, he’s storming out and even with his stupid honestly, I can’t say I blame him. Thank you so much for coming back & for updating,

Chapter 155: WOOP WOOP!! MY FAVE FANFIC IS BACK!!! And OMG this is spicy as hell. I just wish Hyeri would stop being a drama queen and finally realise that she needs to get some help and that Yongguk loves her.

Chapter 153: Thank you for updating despite your busy schedule. I truly hope that Hyeri is ok! She let a lot of things off her chest the night before, and while I do wish she would've thought of the impact her leaving like that would have, I hope they catch her in time before she does something that would change all of their lives. Regarding the comment I just read, there's a difference between constructive criticism & just plain being rude. While it's true, being factual or doing some research on weightier subjects is a good rule of thumb, most of us are adults that don't use fanfics as our barometer of social issues. Assuming what someone's language is, was completely unnecessary to state. You don't have to read the story, if you're a writer, you should understand what it takes to create, upload & continue a story remembering details from previous chapters...etc. If you're not a writer, perhaps you should put yourself in the author's shoes before you begin.
