"What is it?" I asked while sitting on the bench in the park near my dorm. It became our park since we always stop here on the way back from the company and we talk or just fool around. Yongguk didn't say anything, and just sat on the bench next to me.

"Well?" I started to get impatient. I'm tired and the last thing I want to do right now is having this conversation, especially when he is dragging it like this.

"I.." he took a deep breath before speaking. "I want to do it properly."

"Do what?"

"To ask you out.." My heart was beating faster than it should have. Yongguk blushed a little, embarrassed.

"No." I stated. I saw his face darkening, and my heart broke as well. It's not that I like doing it, it's just that I can't. I tried to keep a straight face and look unaffected.

"Why not?"

"I just said on TV that we are not dating and that I can't date because of my dating ban.. I'll look like an idiot if we start dating now."

"They can edit it out before the show is aired, so no one will know besides us." He reasoned.

"The company will kick me out." I tried another excuse.

"They won't, they need you."

"It's still a no." I said dryly.

"Why? both of us like each other."

"It's just a no."

"Your'e being unfair." He kicked a stone on the ground. It landed far from us.

"You weren't fair either when you rejected me.. Why is it right for you and wrong for me?" I exclaimed.

"So now your'e paying me back because I was an idiot? Fine, wer'e even now since both of us got rejected twice." He raised his voice a little, annoyed.

"It's not that, you idiot." I raised my voice as well.

"Then what is it?"

"I don't want to hurt you or the girls, and I don't want to get my name out there only because of you."

"Your'e not hurting us.. And your'e talented enough to get recognized for your abilities without relying on me."

"You don't know that, you can't predict the future. And it doesn't matter how talented I am, if we start dating now I'll only be Yongguk's girlfriend."

"Now you are the girl that featured in my song and have a good chemistry with me, it's not that different." He said bitterly.

"It is different."

"How? They still listen to you because of me."

"But they won't be saying I'm debuting only because I'm dating you. Right now we are just a PR stunt for my group and your solo."

"So that is all I am to you? A way to get famous?"

"Of course not! If you were then I would have agreed to date you in the first time you confessed. I'm doing this to protect you as well, I don't want you to get backlash because of me."

"Why don't you let me decide on that? It's my life and my career." Yongguk exclaimed.

"I'm not changing my mind." I said confidently.

"Then what do you want to do?" he put his hands in his sweatshirt pockets.

"I want to debut first." He didn't say anyhting, nor did react. "I'm not asking you to wait for me or anything.. If you'll still like me after I finish promoting I'll come back to you. If you'll find another girl until then I'll be happy for you and I won't say anything since it was my choice."

"It's ridiculous."

"I don't care. I want to debut on my own without being tagged to you."

"And if you won't make it?" He questioned.

"It doesn't matter, I still have to try." He looked like he was thinking about what I said. "Don't worry, I won't extend the waiting period regardless of the results."

"So the deadline is when you finish promoting your debut album?" Yongguk asked. At least it means he is conseidering it..

"Yes. I promise I'll make it up to you then. You will be proud of me."

"I'm always proud of you."

"I know you are." I smiled. "I'm proud of you as well. You are still my role model."

"So are we still friends?" He asked hesitantly, while moving his feet nervously.

"Of course. You have to try harder if you want to get rid of me."

"Idiot.." he mumbled, and I smiled.

"So, can I get a hug? And can I please go to take a shower and sleep? I'm sweaty and tired."

"No." He pretended to be mad at me.

"Fine, then I'll just go." I stood up, preparing to walk away. Before I managed to move he stood up as well and grabbed my wrist, turning me around so I was now facing him. Before I realized what's happening his lips were on mine. I hugged him, parting my lips a bit so he can have more access to my mouth. We kissed for a while, a passionate kiss. It was way better than the one we had at his dorm. We finally parted. My face was red, my heart was beating fast and my stomach was turning upside down in a good way.

"What.. Was.. That.. For?" I stuttered, confused.

"My waiting fees." He smiled his gummy smile. I couldn't help but smile at his remark. At least he is not mad at me, right?

"Let's go back to your dorm, you need to have your beauty sleep." He said and started walking to the dorm. I ran after him, holding his hand.

"Oppa.." I said quietly while we walked, still holding hands.

"What is it?" He asked.

"Thank you.. For understanding, and waiting for me."

"You have to do well, I'm not waiting for free." He teased.

"Will you dump me if we fail?" I pouted.

"You have to try harder then that to get rid of me.." He repeated what I told him earlier.

"Idiot.." I muttered.

"Hyeri.."

"What?" I looked curiously at him.

"Thanks for not yelling at me for kissing you this time, I thought you'll kill me after that kiss."

"I'm sorry for yelling at you back then, I promise it won't happen again." I said shyly, looking at the ground.

"Good." He held my hand tighter. "Now go rest, princess."

"Thank you. Good night!" I entered my dorm, waving him goodbye.

I watched him walk away before entering home. I'm glad he understood me, it means a lot to me.. And I'm doing this to help him as well. Only couple more months, we can do this.

If only I knew things wouldn't be this simple and that it's going to take more than that..

Day 17:

We were filming "M! Countdown" today. The recording went well, I guess. I was just walking to my dressing room to change when I bumped into someone. He looked familiar, but I couldn't recognize from where. I examined him further, trying to remember how I know him. He looked a little younger than me, and he was handsome.

"Sorry.." He aplogized and bowed after bumping into me.

"It's okay, it was my fault." I smiled, and I was planning to leave.

"Umm, excuse me?" He called after me hesitantly. I stopped in my place and turned back to him.

"Yes?" I asked smiling.

"Your'e.. Hyeri, right?"

"Yes."

"Nice to meet you.. I'm Kihyun." He smiled. That doesn't say anything to me..

"Nice to meet you." I smiled politely.

"I.. Actually.. Like.. Your voice.. A lot." he stuttered.

"Thank you."

"Here." He offered me a signed CD. "It's my group's new album, please listen to it." I looked at the artist written on the cover of the album - "Monsta X". Right, that's why he was so familiar to me.. Why couldn't I recognize him? So stupid of me.

"Thank you so much!" I took the cd from him, smiling. "I'm sorry I don't have anything to give you in return, I haven't officially debuted yet.." I apologized.

"It's fine, you can give me your album when you debut." He smiled.

"Thank you, I'll listen to it well."

"Then I'll guess I'll go now.. Nice to meet you." He said and walked away.

I went back to my dressing room, smiling. He is kinda cute.. And this ruins Zico's theory about Yongguk being a gangster who threaten rookies for no reason.. Where did he get this nonsense from anyway?

On the ride back home I opened the album to look at the photo album inside it. It looked pretty. I should listen to the album when I get back to my dorm..

I was flipping through the pages when a small note fell down from it. I wanted to pick it up, but Yongguk was faster than me.

"Give me my note." I asked Yongguk and held my hand out.

"Who gave it to you?" He asked, holding tightly onto the note.

"Someone."

"Who?"

"It doesn't matter, it's mine." I said dryly.

"Wer'e here." B.A.P's manager said and the car stopped in front of the company. Great timing..

Yongguk stormed out of the car, with my note, before I could react. When we went inside the company building, Himchan was there with someone from the PR team.

"Himchan, catch!" Yongguk called and threw the note over to him. Himchan caught it.

"What is it?" Himchan asked.

"Hyeri got a love note." Yongguk answered, and Himchan looked at me intently.

"Yah!" I glared at Yongguk. "It's not a love note, and it's mine."

"Hyeri, come here, we need to have a serious talk." Himchan said with a serious face.

"About what?" I put my hands on my waist. This is ridiculous.

"What did we say about dating?"

"Nothing..?"

"You can't date, especially if we don't know who the guy is." He started to lecture me. "So, who is it?"

"First of all, I'm not dating. I just got the note and I didn't even look at it because someone snatched it away from me. How do you even know it's a love note?"

"We just do. We used to do this things as well, it's quite common among idols."

"With who?" I asked curiously. This is a new information, and an intresting one.

"Don't change the subject!" Himchan scolded me.

"Fine." I sighed. "Why are you lecturing me about it anyway? You are not the suitable person to scold me about it." I glared at him.

"Yah, don't go there."

"Give it back to me." I whined, and tried to snatch it away from his hands. He is taller than me, so he just had to raise his hand and the note was out of my reach.

Suddenly Yongguk took the note from him, and stuffed it in his jeans pocket.

"If you want it back, be at the playroom in half an hour." He said and walked away. So annoying!

When I entered the playroom I noticed it was arranged in a different way. The table was moved to the side, and instead there was a picnic map spread on the floor. On the side there were picnic basket and there was some food and flower petals in the canter of the map. Yongguk was sitting on the edge of the map, on the far end of it.

"What is this?" I asked confused. I definitely wasn't expecting this, especially not from Yongguk. Who would have thought he can do things like that.. It was actually romantic.

"Our dinner. You didn't eat yet, right?" He asked.

"No.."

"Come sit." He said and pointed at the empty space, meant for me.

"Why are we doing a picnic all of a sudden?" I asked confused.

"I just wanted to have a quiet dinner with you."

"I'm still mad at you." I stated. It's not going to work on me.

"You like pasta, right?" he asked and took out two wrapped plates from the picnic basket, ignoring my statement.

"Yes.." I said weakly.

"Eat." He offered me a fork. I unwrapped my plate slowly and started to eat, savoring the taste. It was really good.

"Did you make it?"

"You don't want to try my cooking.. The only thing I can make propely is ramyun." he said apologetically.

"Make me one sometime."

"I will." He smiled.

"So where did you get this from?"

"The cafeteria." He said shyly.

"I like it." I smiled and took another bite from my food.

"So.." He suddenly said.

"So.." I repeated after him.

"That guy.."

"You can't take my things like that." I put my plate and my fork down and looked intently at him.

"I did it to help you."

"How is this helping me?" I exclaimed. Yongguk put his plate down as well.

"You don't know the guy."

"Are you jealous?"

"Yes." Yongguk said quietly, looking down. It's cute he is admitting it, but it's still wrong. he can't act like that.

"What am I going to do with you?" I sighed. "Did you really think I would go to him if he asked me out?"

"I don't know."

"Your'e an idiot. A really big idiot."

"It's your fault I'm like that.."

"Please give it to me." I stretched my hand. He hesitated at first but eventually gave me my note.

I opened the folded piece of paper - "Your'e cute. If you want to talk, call me. Kihyun" After that his phone number was written. I folded the note back and stuffed it inside my pocket.

"I'm not going to date him, so you can stop acting like that." I said dryly. He didn't say anything and just stared at the floor.

"Oppa.." I said after a while. When he didn't respond either I moved and sat next to him. I wrapped my arms around his waist, hugging him.

"It's kind of cute that your'e jealous.." I said when he still didn't react. Did I take it too far? "And the picnic is awsome."

"I'm sorry." He finally said, in a barely audible voice. "It's just that I don't like seeing you with other guys that want to ask you out, and I just keep thinking that you won't come back to me.."

"If I'm breaking my promise I'll only do it for you." I said while hugging him tighter.

"Can't you reconsider?" He pleaded. I shook my head. I've already made up my mind, I'm not changing it.

"I'm sorry for taking up your time." Yongguk suddenly stood up and started collecting the things, returning the playroom to his original state.

"Your'e not.." I started to say, but he cut me off.

"I won't do it again." he said and stormed out of the room. Did I just break his heart again?

I just felt that I need to explain some things about Hyeri and Yongguk, so:

1. Hyeri is very independent, so she doesn't like to rely on others and she wants to achieve things with her own effort.

2. It doesn't show much, but she cares a lot about what other people think, which is also one of the reasons for her decision.

3. Hyeri tends to put others before herself, so other's pepole own favor comes first. In this case - Yongguk, the girls and B.A.P.

4. Yongguk is just willing to wait because he knows it's important to her and he is willing to do all kinds of things for his loved one. (But it doesn't mean he is not watching when other guys hang around her..)
