Chapter 107

Masks

"Girls, you are late." Jinu stood in our living room while we were running around like crazy, trying to make it on time.

"Sorry, oppa." Yujin apologized while trying to tie her shoelace and finish her sandwich at the same time.

"Here." Sumi helped her by shoving the bread inside .

"Thanks." Yujin talked with full.

"Eat with your mouth closed, I don't need to see what's going on in there." Jinu scolded.

"Sorry, oppa." Yujin apologized after swallowing.

"OH, !" Sey cursed from the bathroom.

"What's wrong?" Eun Hee hurried over.

"My shirt is dirty." Sey pouted and pointed at the big stain in the center of her shirt.

"Change it. We are already late and Jinu is about to kill us." Eun Hee reasoned.

"Here, oppa." I gave Jinu a glass of water. "I'm sorry, we had a hard time waking up."

"What do I do with you?" he sighed and took the glass from me, gulping it in one go.

"Stop lying, you love us." Yujin said and clung onto his arm.

"Did you finish getting ready? We need to go." he asked while looking at her, but didn't make an effort to move his arm away.

"Only Sumi is missing, she needs to brush her hair." Eun Hee said, joining us in the living room. She was followed by Sey, who changed her shirt in the meantime.

When Sumi finally joined us we entered the van parking outside our building.

"Thank the 'M! Countdown' staff when we get there. You are lucky we managed to move the pre-recording to today. You were supposed to do it last night and it usually takes time." Jinu said while driving.

"Thank you, oppa!" we said cutely and Jinu smiled.

~

We did "Peppermint" at the pre-recording and we are supposed to do "Oppa Is Mine!" in the live broadcast.

After the recording we had free time and we waited patiently in the waiting room.

I was talking to Sey when a knock on the door was heard. Jinu went to open it while all of us watched curiously.

"Good morning!" B.A.P greeted, looking happy and cheerful.

"It's already noon, you fools." Jinu teased.

"Aren't you going to let us in?" Himchan pouted.

"Come in." Jinu smiled and opened the door widely. They entered the room, followed by their manager.

"Hey, girls." the boys greeted and we waved our hands happily. It's a nice surprise seeing them here.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, smiling.

"We went treasure hunting. What does it look like we're doing here?" Youngjae mocked.

"Watch it." Yongguk warned, eyeing him.

"Sorry, hyung." Youngjae apologized quickly, making us chuckle. It's funny how all of them back off the moment Yongguk says something.. It shows how much they respect him.

Soon, the boys made themselves comfortable in the waiting room as well.

~

"Ahoy, captain!" Himchan appraoched me and saluted. My face heated. He is not supposed to know about this nickname.

" off." I muttered, annoyed.

"You're an idol. Stop cursing."

"You curse more than I do!" I exclaimed.

"Well, I'm responsible enough not to do it on broadcast. You, on the other hand, might say something by accident."

"I can keep my mouth shut when I have to." I crossed my arms over my chest.

"If you say so, captain." Himchan smirked.

~

"Hey.." Jongup sat next to Yujin.

"Hey." she smiled shyly.

"How are the last couple of days? With the music shows and stuff.."

"Great. It's tiring but fun."

"Yeah, it is." he agreed. "How is the dance going?"

"Annoying, but Hyeri is helping me."

"That's good." Jongup had his angelic smile.

~

"Babe.." Yongguk came to talk to me.

"What?" I asked dryly.

"Why are you mad at me?" he sensed something was wrong.

"How does Himchan know about that nickname?" I crossed my arms over my chest. Yongguk paled. Himchan can't be that stupid to tell Hyeri about it, right?

"It's.." Yongguk rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

"It's what?" I insisted.

"A mistake." Yongguk finally said.

"You told me no one will know about it!" I exclaimed.

"Well, you know Himchan.." he mumbled.

"You are such a bad guy. You know I don't like that nickname even when you use it, so why would you go and tell him about it?"

"I didn't tell him about it, he found out on his own." Yongguk tried to explain.

"Same thing."

"Babe.. I'm sorry." he tucked his hands in his jeans pockets.

"Girls.." Jinu entered the room, interrupting our conversation. I was happy he did that because I don't like arguing with Yongguk.

"What?" Sumi asked. She was talking to Youngjae at the moment, but she stopped when Jinu entered the room.

"You're up next." Jinu stated. I guess me and Yongguk we'll have to finish the talk afterwards..

~

"Hey.." Daehyun met Narae in the hallway.

"Hey." she smiled.

"You look good." he complimeneted her.

"Thanks. You too."

"Thank you." he smiled as well.

"You are here because of the girls from your company, right?" she asked, fumbling with her fingers nervously.

"Officially, yes. But unofficially.." he closed the distance between them, smirking. "I had other reasons to come."

Narae felt the blush decorating her face.

"Do.. We.. Still.. Have.. That.. Date?" she stuttered.

"If you want to." he smiled brightly. "If you're tired we can postpone it."

"No, it's fine!"

"Good. Call me when you finish your schedules for today?"

"Yes."

~

The boys watched the girls performing on stage. They were in one of the waiting rooms, looking at the TV showing the broadcast, along with other idols that are promoting at the moment or just came to support their friends.

"Wow.." one girl said.

"It's really impressive.. That they could come up with such a bad song." another one said.

Yongguk gritted his teeth and decided to change his position. He walked around the room and stood behind some male idols.

"They are pretty." the idol in front of him said.

"Yeah, especially that red haired girl.. She look fierce." his groupmate added. He was a bit shorter than the first guy.

"Agree."

"I wonder if she'll scream that hard when I'm going to her.." the shorter guy said when Hyeri did her high note.

This ticked Yongguk off. Even if Hyeri wasn't his girlfriend it's still wrong to talk about her like that. Or about any woman, in fact. It's just disrespectful and straight up disgusting.

"Excuse me." Yongguk patted the shoulder of the guy in front of him, the one that talked about Hyeri.

"Yes?" the guy turned around and looked at Yongguk curiosuly. Yongguk stared at the guy, trying to figure out if he knows him and if they met in the past, but he couldn't remember, so he figured the guy is probably a rookie.

"Come with me." Yongguk said and signaled the guy to follow him to the corner of the room, where there were less people and they could talk without interruptions.

"When the hot girl finish her performance. You can totally see her with that dance!" the guy smiled. "I would love to get a taste of that body of hers.."

"Now." Yongguk ordered, trying to look intimidating and to stay composed at the same time.

"Okay.." the guy trailed off when he noticed Yongguk is serious and followed him. "What is it?"

"I think you made a mistake." Yongguk said calmly.

"What mistake?" the guy seemed confused.

"You said some trashy stuff about the girl performing."

"And you are? Her boyfriend? Sponsor? Guardian?" he mocked.

"None of your business. I just can't stand guys like you that treat women like objects or a trophy."

"Oh, I'm gonna treat her like a queen in bed.. She'll beg for more." the guy smirked, which annoyed Yongguk even more.

"And you are going to beg for me to stop beating you up if you continue to talk about her like that." Yongguk glared at the guy.

"Listen, dude. I don't care who you are, but I'll say what I want to. And if I want to get her in bed I will, there is nothing you can do about it."

"Good luck getting her in bed, dude." Himchan snorted, standing behind the guy. "Do you know how many guys tried before you and failed?" he discreetly eyed Yongguk.

"And you are?" the guy asked, turning to look at Himchan.

"I'm no one. But this guy over here.." Himchan put his arm on Yongguk's shoulder. "This guy is your worst nightmare, so if I were you I would get the out of here before he really gets mad."

"I'm not scared." the guy declared, placing his hands on his waist.

"Dong Il, we need to go." the taller guy that was standing next to him earlier approached the trio.

"Yes, hyung." Dong Il said and turned to look at Yongguk and Himchan. "We are not over."

"Show some respect to people more experienced and older than you, don't be a spoiled brat." Himchan lectured the guy.

The guys left without saying anything, leaving Himchan with Yongguk.

"How did you know?" Yongguk asked, confused.

"I heard them talking about Hyeri earlier and then I saw you were talking to him.. I just thought you could use some help before things escalate.."

"Thanks." Yongguk smiled, patting Himchan's back. "That jerk.."

"Well, there are guys like that. There is nothing much you can do about it.. It's not like he'll change."

"You're right."

"No problem." Himchan smiled. "We should go back as well, the girls finished performing."

~

"Excuse me." two girls approached me and Sey on our way back to the waiting room after the performance.

"Yes?" I asked politely.

"You are from B.A.P's company, right?" the first one asked.

"Yes." Sey answered.

"Then.. You know them quite well, right?" the second girl asked.

"Obviously." Sey said and rolled her eyes.

"Be nice." I elbowed Sey.

"Sorry.." she mumbled.

"Do you have Himchan's phone number?" the second girl asked shyly. I could feel Sey tense, but she tried not to show it.

"I don't think it's a good idea.." I mumbled.

"Why?" the first girl asked. "Is he dating or something?"

"Look, I'm against giving people's phone number behind their back, so if you want his phone number you should ask him directly." I explained.

"Like he'll agree. None of you are his type." Sey scoffed and I glared at her.

"Don't be rude." I scolded her and turned back to the girls. "I'm sorry for her behaviour, she is just tired, so she is blurting nonsense."

"No I'm not! You know I'm right!" Sey claimed and I stepped on her foot.

"Ouch!" she whined.

"Anyway, you should talk to him yourselves." I told the girls politely. "Have a good day!"

~

"You look weird." Himchan commented when I entered with Sey to the waiting room, looking at Sey.

"Hyeri hit me!" Sey whined.

"You deserved it." I claimed.

"What did you do?" Himchan asked Sey.

"Nothing."

"Really?" he wondered and turned his gaze to me.

"It's nothing serious." I confirmed, smiling.

"I can make you feel better.." Himchan whispered in Sey's ear and her face turned red, matching the clothes she wore.

~

"Oppa!" Sumi called in a squeaky voice, clinging onto Yongguk's arm.

"What?" he tried not to sound too annoyed.

"Did you watch our performance?"

"Yes."

"Did you like it?" her voice raised an octave.

"Yes."

"I was better than Hyeri, right?" she kept pestering him. Yongguk tried to search Hyeri with his eyes but he couldn't see her.

"Well?" Sumi asked when he didn't answer. Yongguk tried to release himself from her grip, but she held him too tightly.

"Both of you were great."

~

"That !" I hissed while looking at Sumi and Yongguk. Why does she keep clinging onto him and why does that idiot letting her do that?

"Here." Zelo sat next to me and offered me a bottle of water. "It will help you relax."

"Thanks." I took the bottle from him and drank from it.

"You know, guys don't like clingy girls." he said while watching Yongguk trying to release himself from Sumi's grip.

"I'm pretty sure she has couple of guys wrapped around her finger." I put the bottle down, not moving my eyes from the two.

"If they are smart they'll run away while they can." Zelo joked.

"Then how do you call a guy with a girlfriend that let her cling onto him like that?"

"A hostage." he answered immediately and I gave him a questioning look. "You have to be blind to not know how he really feels."

I was about to say something when there was a knock on the door. Jinu opened it and the girls from earlier stood there. I guess they came for Himchan..

"Yes?" Jinu asked.

"Hello.." the first girl said. "We are sorry to bother you.."

"Yes?" Jinu asked, trying to goad her. She looked really embarrassed.

"Oh, it's you!" Youngjae exclaimed, approaching the door.

"Do you know them?" Jinu asked, confused.

"Last week, when I was MCing 'Music Bank', they came to ask for Himchan's phone number.. But I didn't think it was right giving it to strangers without his permission." he quickly explained.

"They asked me and Hyeri too, just a couple of minutes ago. We thought the same." Sey added.

Now all the eyes in the room moved between Himchan and the girls. The three of them looked utterly embarrasssed and uncomfortable.

"Come in, don't stand at the door like beggars." Jinu was the first to break the silence. The girls stepped inside quietly.

"So which one of you want his phone number?" Daehyun teased, scanning the girls. They started to blush furiously.

"Stop being an ." Himchan scolded Daehyun and turned to the waiting girls. "Look, it doesn't matter which one of you is it, my answer is still the same."

"And.. What.. Is.. Your.. Answer..?" the girl who wanted his phone number stuttered.

"I'm sorry, but I'm not interested in anyone at the moment." Himchan said softly, apologetic look on his face. It looked like the girl tried hard not to cry in front of him. Her friend hugged her.

"You know, he really is different from what you see on TV. Believe me, you don't want to date him." Youngjae said, trying to cheer the girl up.

"Right, he is a jerk in reality. You deserve better." I added, smiling reassuringly, and approached the girls. I felt sorry for her and I wanted to make her feel better.

"Hyeri!" Himchan groaned.

"But she is right." Daehyun chan. "Whoever dates you has a twisted taste." he said without noticing the glare Sey was giving him.

"Here. Ignore those idiots, they are always like that." Eun Hee approached the girls and gave the girl a bottle of water and some tissues.

"Pathetic." Sumi muttered in her place while watching the scene in front of her.

"You are more pathetic." Yongguk stated and walked away, leaving her with hanging open from the shock.

~

"They finally left." Youngjae mumbled while sitting down on the couch.

"That was.. Interesting." Eun Hee sat beside him.

"Why were all of you making fun of me?!" Himchan exclaimed, annoyed.

"Didn't you see the girl was about to cry?" Yongguk hit his head.

"That doesn't give you the right to make fun on me!"

"And the diva is back.." Daehyun sighed.

"SHUT UP!" Himchan continued with his little tantrum.

"What if we leave him here to vent?" Youngjae pondered out loud.

"Won't work. He'll still complain when we'll come back." Jongup reasoned.

"That guy.." Youngjae sighed.

~

"Hey.." Yongguk cornered me.

"Hey." I said dryly. I was still mad about earlier.

"You did well today." he smiled warmly.

"Thanks."

"And you look pretty hot.." he said while getting closer to me, closing the small distance between us.

"Yongguk.." I sighed.

"What? I want to compliment you." he played dumb.

"What do you really want from me?" I asked impatiently. I'm too tired to play games at the moment.

"Are you still mad?"

"I don't know. Should I be mad?"

"I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"For the captain thing and for not running away from Sumi on time." Yongguk tucked his hands in his pockets.

"Alright. I forgive you." I said and his face lit up.

"You are the best!" he kissed my forehead. I tried not to smile at how excited and cute he was being.

"But, babe.."

"Hmm?"

"You really do look hot in this outfit." he smirked.

"Don't go there." I warned. Everyone is here because we are still in the waiting room, so it's really not the time and place to do this.

"But I want to." he placed his arms on the wall, on both sides of my body, trapping me in place.

"Oppa.." I mumbled. I could feel the heat up my cheeks from his closeness.

"You know, if there weren't people here I would have shown you how much I like you in this outfit." he said in my ear.

"What.. Would.. You.. Have.. Done?" I stuttered. The words left my mouth without realizing.

"Well, first, I would take your clothes off, slowly." his lips brushed mine. I could feel his hot breath on me and it sent shivers to the rest of my body.

"Take.. Everything.. Off?" I repeated slowly. He nodded, smirking. Wait.. What?!

"You ert. Jerk. . Disrespectful brat. What the hell are you implying?!" I exclaimed after pulling myself together and breaking the spell he put on me, realizing what he meant. Each curse was accompanied by a hit to his arm, chest or head. He moved backwards and lifted his hands to protect his head, trying to avoid my blows.

"Babe, calm down.." Yongguk mumbled.

"DON'T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN, YOU FREAKING ERT! YOU ARE WORSE THAN HIMCHAN!"

"That's a stretch." Yongguk lifted his head to look at me. I glared at him and he hid behind his hands again.

~

"They are at it again.." Youngjae sighed while looking at the two fighting. Well, it was more like Hyeri was trying to hit Yongguk, who tried to protect himself and was currently hiding behind his manager.

"What did he do?" Zelo asked, confused.

"He said the magic words." Himchan said.

"What magic words?" Jongup asked curiously.

"The thing they don't do." Daehyun answered but Jongup still looked confused, so Daehyun whispered the answer in his ear. Jongup blushed a little.

~

"Babe, calm down!" Yongguk said while Hyeri was still trying to get to him. His manager did a good job protecting him.

"Apologize!" I demanded, putting my hands on my waist. Yongguk moved a little so he can see me, but still stayed close to his manager for protection.

"I'm sorry. I was just teasing you, nothing serious."

"Don't offer me this kind of stuff. And stop teasing me as well." I pouted.

"Alright. Now stop being mad?" he asked and I nodded slowly.

Yongguk chuckled and hugged me tightly while I burried myself in his embrace.

"I'm sorry, babe. But you really have to stop trying to kill me every time you're mad." he pulled away to look at me.

I took a deep breath. "Fine, I'll try."

"Good girl." he kissed my forehead and I buried my face in his chest once more.

~

"That's it?" Daehyun pondered. "I thought she'll really kill him because she made such a fuss."

"Hyeri is just talk, no actions." Himchan teased.

"I heard you!" I glared at Himchan.

"Good." he smirked.

Chapter 156: Wow, I was blaming both of them at 1st, as things could’ve been handled so much better on both sides. I loved how Himchan & Sey reasoned with both of them, but Hyeri crossed a line once Yongguk apologized. I didn’t feel she necessarily deserved it, but I knew they both needed it.... sure the way he apologized, did seem like a back handed apology, as her kissing technique could’ve been discussed privately. But Hyeri towards Himchan, she needs to make this better, and of course, he hit below the belt, but she had consistently hit below the belt prior & then to hit him!!! I’m not sure how this is going to turn out, thank you for updating!!

Chapter 156: I still one hundred percent believe that this entire situation is one in which Hyeri is very much at fault. I don’t think Yongguk is in a position where Hyeri requires an apology and I don’t think Hyeri even DESERVES an apology. She completely blew a small and minor incident out of proportion.

I do believe that Himchan went slightly too far with the comment he made however Hyeri shouldn’t have been as horrible to him as she was.

Chapter 155: Welcome back!!!!!!!!!!! I was BEYOND happy to see the update, wow so much happened, where to begin? I see Hyeri & Himchan are still at each other’s throats, I do wish they could get along, and that Hyeri would see the validity in what Himchan said, but no matter what, I think time stopped when Yongguk said Sumi was a better kisser. I felt bad, that super slam, even if honest, that was the time to lie. Especially knowing Hyeri... I was shocked she would kiss him after that was said, and kept thinking why does kissing Yongguk keep coming up, even after he said she wasn’t as good of a kisser. .... sighs, once again, he’s storming out and even with his stupid honestly, I can’t say I blame him. Thank you so much for coming back & for updating,

Chapter 155: WOOP WOOP!! MY FAVE FANFIC IS BACK!!! And OMG this is spicy as hell. I just wish Hyeri would stop being a drama queen and finally realise that she needs to get some help and that Yongguk loves her.

Chapter 153: Thank you for updating despite your busy schedule. I truly hope that Hyeri is ok! She let a lot of things off her chest the night before, and while I do wish she would've thought of the impact her leaving like that would have, I hope they catch her in time before she does something that would change all of their lives. Regarding the comment I just read, there's a difference between constructive criticism & just plain being rude. While it's true, being factual or doing some research on weightier subjects is a good rule of thumb, most of us are adults that don't use fanfics as our barometer of social issues. Assuming what someone's language is, was completely unnecessary to state. You don't have to read the story, if you're a writer, you should understand what it takes to create, upload & continue a story remembering details from previous chapters...etc. If you're not a writer, perhaps you should put yourself in the author's shoes before you begin.
