Chapter 144

Masks

"Good morning, Minjae." I greeted the girl in front of me at the fansign.

"Good morning." she replied, smiling. "How did you sleep?"

"Great. What about you?" I asked.

"Good."

"I'm happy to hear that." I said and took the album and photobook from her. After signing the album I read the post-it: What would you take to a deserted island and why?

I smiled and answered the question - My Group members and music because I'll be bored on my own and music is an important part of my life.

"You are sweet." Minjae said after reading my answer.

"Thank you."

"Unnie.."

"What?"

"I have a present for you!" she said shyly and gave me a small plastic bag. "I made it myself but I'm sorry if it's ugly.. I tried my best."

"I'm sure it's pretty." I smiled. "Thank you so much!"

"Please move to the next member." one of the staff members goaded Minjae.

"I'll see you at 'Music Core'!" Minjae said before moving on to Sey.

"I'll put it with the rest of your gifts." the staff member said and took the bag Minjae gave me.

"Thank you."

"Looks like we are meeting again, little sister." Hyesung stood in front of me. I froze. It's the first time I'm seeing him since he came looking for me in the company when I just debuted. I scanned his appearance. It was the complete opposite from the previous time we met. Now he was clean, dressed in new clothes and he didn't reek from alcohol. Even his hair looked good. There was a cut near his lower lip but besides that he didn't look like he got beat up.

"What do you want?" I asked dryly, trying to keep my composure.

"To see my little sister. Am I not allowed to?" he asked, a playful smirk on his face.

"Well, you only remember that I exist when you need money." I retorted. "So how much is it this time?"

"I'm hurt that you think so little of me. What happened to the sweet little girl that used to be my sister?"

"Died."

"You look like you are doing well, sis."

"I don't have any money." I stated and took the album and photobook from him. I have no idea where and how he got those but it's not my business.

"I didn't ask anything."

"Yet." I added and quickly signed his album.

"Are you still dating that guy?" Hyesung asked and I tensed.

"I don't know what you are talking about." I answered calmly and looked at the photobook, searching for the post-it.

"Aigoo. Too bad that I know you like the back of my hand. I know a lot of things about you and the media will be thrilled to find out a few things about your past.."

"You are a homeless person that is addicted to gambling and alcohol. We are not in touch for years now. Do you really think they will believe anything you say? I can just say that you are lying in order to pay your debts." I closed the booklet without looking at the note inside. It's not like it matters anyway.

"Please answer the question written there." he asked calmly and I sighed, opening the photobook again. I searched the note until I found it. A single number was written on it - 10,000$.

"You have got to be kidding me." I said, closing the booklet again. "Even the media won't pay you that much because I'm a nobody."

"Give me the money or bad things will happen." he threatened.

"I'm not giving you a single dime. Even if I had the money I wouldn't pay you. Go earn your own money and pay your debts."

"No wonder mom and dad kicked you out of the house.. Look at your crappy attitude." he said venomously and this was my limit.

"Sir, please leave." I ordered dryly, trying to stay polite because the previous time I got mad in a fansign didn't end well.

"Make me leave." he smirked.

"Is there a problem?" the staff member that took my gift earlier asked, finally noticing that something is wrong.

"Yes." I answered.

"No." Hyesung said at the same time.

"What's wrong?" the staff member asked me.

"He is bothering me." I answered. "Please ask him to leave."

"." Hyesung cursed.

"See?! I wasn't lying." I claimed, my eyes pleading the staff member to do something.

"Sir, I'm afraid you'll have to leave." the staff member said.

"Bring me the money, sis, or you can kiss your career goodbye." Hyesung said before leaving.

"Are you okay?" the staff member asked worriedly.

"Yes." I tried to smile. "Can you bring me water?"

"Sure. I'll be right back." he smiled and left.

I took a few deep breaths, trying to calm my beating heart down. This is bad. I know that Hyesung can't hurt me because I have nothing to hide but it still worries me. He might make up some lies in order to make me look bad. Besides, having a brother like him might affect my image even if I didn't do anything wrong and even if we're not in touch because this is how entertainment business work. It's easy to get your image ruined because people are quick to judge before getting the facts right and once your image is ruined it's almost impossible to recover. I can handle my image getting ruined, but I'm worried it will affect the girls because they don't deserve it.

"Hyeri." I heard Jinu's voice calling me. He was standing behind me, handing me a water bottle.

"Yes, oppa?" I asked and took the bottle from him.

"Come talk to me after the fansign."

"Yes, sir." I said and turned my attention to the fans waiting for me. This time it was a young man with a little girl. They were similar so it was obvious that they are father and daughter.

"Hello." I smiled brightly, looking at the little girl.

"Do Yeon, say hey." the man said, goading the girl.

"Hey unnie." she said sweetly, waving her hands.

"Is your name Do Yeon?" I asked and the girl nodded. "That's a pretty name."

"Thank you." she said shyly and hid behind her dad’s legs.

"I'm sorry, she is just shy." the man apologized.

"It's okay." I smiled. "She is sweet."

"She really wanted to come. She listens to your song all the time."

"She is?" I was surprised. That's unexpected.. We don't like our song, so others liking it means a lot to us.

"Do Yeon, don't you want to talk to Hyeri?" the man asked the girl, trying to make her face me. The girl didn't react and kept clinging onto his legs.

"Do Yeon, I have something for you." I said sweetly. "Will you come out?"

"What something?" she asked shyly.

"A lollipop." I said. I received a few earlier from my fans and I don't think they'll mind if I give it to the girl.. Right?

"What kind of lollipop?" she asked and I chuckled. She is sweet.

"Why don't you come out and see for yourself?" I asked. The girl hesitated but eventually came out and faced me.

"Here." I offered her a few lollipops. "Choose whatever you want."

"Wow.." she watched the lollipops in awe. "Can I have them all?"

"Do Yeon, don't be rude." her father scolded.

"It's okay, I don't mind." I smiled. "You can have all of them."

"Really?" the girl's face lit up.

"Really."

"Thank you." she said and the man thanked me as well.

When this problem was solved I signed her album and chatted with Do Yeon and her dad until the staff goaded them to continue.

"Boys." Clara called and the trainees stopped what they were doing and looked curiously at her.

"Remember I told you that there will be a surprise if you'll do well in the evaluations?" she asked.

"Yes." Junsu answered on behalf of everyone.

"You will find out what it is in the BBQ today."

"What do you mean?" Hyuk asked.

"There will be an announcement that will make you happy." Clara replied.

"Are we finally debuting?" one of the trainees asked.

"No. But it's almost as good." she smiled.

"Wow.." the boys exclaimed.

"Oh, it's a surprise, so please don't tell your seniors about it yet. The managers don't know about it either because the CEO wants to surprise everyone in the BBQ."

"Okay."

"Now keep working hard." she said and left the practice room.

"What do you think it's going to be?" Hyuk asked.

"Maybe a featuring?" Junsu suggested.

"On what? B.A.P's comeback is finalized and they are just waiting for the CEO to let them release the album and the girls are promoting so it might take a while until they'll release another album.." Hyuk reasoned.

"Maybe we'll be backup dancers or something? Like the girls did with B.A.P before they debuted.. B.A.P will probably need dancers for their comeback." Junsu tried again.

"Maybe.." Hyuk said. "We don't have much to wait until we'll find out."

"Hyeri." Jinu called me when the fansign ended.

"Yes?" I asked, feeling nervous. I know what he wants to talk about and I don't like it.

"Do you want to tell me what's wrong?" he asked softly.

"My brother was here. He wanted money and he told me that if I won't pay he will talk to the media and ruin my career." I admitted. Jinu saw Hyesung when he came to the company, so it's better telling him about it so he could help and prepare beforehand in case Hyesung will actually do something.

"Did you give him money?"

"No. I don't have it and I don't want to pay him. He will just keep coming back for more if I do and it's not my responsibility to pay for his debts. He is a grown man."

"Alright, I'll take care of it." he said dryly and his lack of reaction worried me.

"Jinu.."

"What?"

"What are you going to do?"

"It's my job to protect my artists, especially when they did nothing wrong." he smiled warmly. "So don't worry too much, okay? I'll find a way to solve it." he said and patted my head. I smiled, feeling relieved. It feels good sharing my problems and worries with someone else and not dealing with everything on my own.

"Thank you." I smiled.

"No need to thank me. Now go get ready for the next schedule."

"Yes, sir."

~

Hyesung waited in the designated place. The plan didn't go as planned but he hoped that the person that asked him to come had a better idea. Either way, it's not like he had something to lose.. He is already at the rock bottom so he can only gain from whatever they do.

After a few moments the blonde girl appeared. Hyesung smiled. He had to admit that she is pretty, unlike his ugly sister. He really couldn't figure out why would someone date his little sister.. There is nothing good about her.

"Good job." the girl said. "Here is your payment." she said and shoved an envelope filled with money into his hand. "You can keep the clothes as well."

"What do we do now?" Hyesung asked.

"Now we wait until your idiot sister will do something. If it won't work we will put more pressure on her until she breaks." Sumi smirked.

"Why do you hate her so much?"

"She took everything away from me."

"I guess that we have something in common then.."

After the performance we were waiting for the music show to end. We usually perform in the beginning of the show so we have a lot of time to wait until the ending segment.

I was searching for articles about us online when Yongguk sent me a message. I opened it and saw a picture of me from one of my fansites. I have two fansites and there are three fansites for all my group members. The other members has one fansite each that are dedicated for them so I’m feeling a little uncomfortable for being more popular, but there is nothing I can do about it..

I scanned the picture. It was from yesterday's music show when we just reached the broadcasting station. I was laughing in the picture and I remembered that Yujin told me something funny before the picture was taken.

The picture was captioned "Pretty" and I blushed.

"How did you get this?" I texted Yongguk.

"One of my fans sent this to me." he replied and I knew that he was lying because the probability of his fans sending him pictures of me is very low. I wish I could see his face at the moment..

"You are a really bad liar :P" I teased.

"But thank you. You are sweet <3" I added before he replied.

"Your fansites take pretty pictures." Yongguk commented.

"They really do. And I'm honored that you are following my fansites." I answered and I imagined him actually go over them in search of pictures. It made me smile.

"Don't you do the same for me?" he asked.

"I do, but I'm not as busy as you so I have more time to go over your fansites."

"Well, right now you are the one promoting while I get to rest :)"

"You should rest, you are working hard."

"Speaking of rest, when do you finish your schedules today?"

"After the music show ends. We are going back to the dorm to change and then we are going to the BBQ."

"So do I get to see you in a bikini? :D"

"ert."

"You get to see me shirtless, so we are even." Yongguk claimed and I rolled my eyes.

"Who said I want to see you shirtless?" I teased.

"I thought we already agreed that you love my body?"

"No. I absolutely hate it."

"I can tell that you are lying even without seeing your face."

"I need to go." I replied.

"I'll see you later then. I can't wait to see you."

"Make sure you rest."

"Alright. I love you." he replied and I blushed.

"I love you too."

~

"What are you doing?" Daehyun asked Youngjae. The younger male was glued to his laptop since morning. Daehyun sat next to him on the couch.

"Watching today's music show." Youngjae answered without looking at Daehyun.

"Anything interesting besides the girls?"

"No. It's the same as usual.."

"At least the girls can meet a lot of idols because they are having a full promotion cycle."

"When was the last time we got a full one?" Youngjae pondered.

"Yongguk had a full one while promoting with Hyeri.. But besides that I can't remember. There were always the tours or japanese albums in the middle."

"Well, at least we get to rest now."

"Yeah.."

~

"How's this?" Eun Hee asked Sey after trying a red bikini.

"Too modest." Sey answered. "You want Youngjae to pop his eyes out, right?"

"Well.." Eun Hee blushed. "It will be nice if he would be a little more.. Impressed after seeing me. And that he won't look at other girls."

"You and Hyeri are the same." Sey sighed. "Why can't you two just admit that you want to look y for your boyfriends?"

"Because it's embarrassing."

"There is nothing embarrassing about it, it's normal."

"It's still embarrassing."

"Try this one." Sey said and gave Eun Hee a different bikini to try on.

~

"What are you doing?" I asked Yujin. She was staring at her appearance in the mirror for several minutes now, frowning. Yujin jumped from the surprise.

"You scared me." Yujin placed a hand on her heart.

"Sorry.." I apologized. "But what are you doing? You will bore holes in the mirror if you keep staring at it like that."

"I was just.. Thinking."

"About what?" I asked curiously. Yujin bit her lower lip and it looked like she was debating whether to talk or not.

"Do you think I'm pretty?" she finally asked.

"Yes." I answered immediately. "Why are you asking that all of a sudden?"

"I don't feel pretty."

"You are pretty." I assured her.

"Do you think I should wear a bikini instead of this one piece?" she asked, pointing at the swimsuit she was currently wearing.

"No. You are cute like this and you should wear what you are comfortable wearing, not what others tell you to wear."

"But I don't want to be cute. Jongup won't ask me out if I'm cute." she pouted.

"So this is what really bothers you.." I sighed. "You know, Jongup is not the type of guy that will judge people based on their appearance so it doesn't really matter what you wear. I bet that he'll prefer you wearing what you feel comfortable wearing as well because he wants to see the real you, which will be overshadowed if you're uncomfortable."

"Then why isn't he asking me out? Doesn't it mean he doesn't like me?"

"I don't know, but maybe he is just slow or trying to make sure he really feels something for you before confessing so he won't hurt you. If it bothers you so much why don't you ask him out yourself?"

"Because I'm scared of being rejected."

"I can understand that." I sighed. "Look how long it took for me and Yongguk to get together, mostly because I didn't think he liked me."

"But it was obvious that you and Yongguk had feelings for each other, you two were just blind. And you also rejected him because you wanted to protect us.." Yujin claimed.

"Alright. So take Youngjae and Eun Hee for example. Both of them didn't think their feelings were mutual so they didn't do anything until me and Yongguk tried to help them."

"I can't ask him out." Yujin said.

"So how about you'll try to give him signs that you are interested?" I offered.

"It's Jongup. He is oblivious to the world around him, so I don't think he'll get it even if I'll try.."

"You have a point, but he might surprise you.. It won't hurt to try."

"You're right."

"I'm always right." I exclaimed and Yujin rolled her eyes.

"Thanks, unnie." Yujin finally smiled.

"No problem." I smiled as well. "Now finish getting ready, we are leaving soon."

"Okay."

~

We reached the same country club from last time. It was closed just for us and we settled comfortably on the chairs near the pool. B.A.P and the trainees reached shortly after us with their managers and a few staff members. The CEO was still nowhere to be seen.

"Hello, pretty ladies." Himchan greeted and sat on one of the empty chairs next to us.

"Hey, Channie." we greeted back.

The other members took their places next to Himchan, bowing their heads in acknowledgment.

"Hey oppa." I approached Yongguk, who was sitting at the end of the line.

"You look nice." he said, smiling brightly.

"Thank you. You look handsome as well."

"You haven't seen anything yet.." he winked.

"In this case, I can't wait to see more.."

~

"Hey." Youngjae went to talk to Eun Hee.

"Hey." she smiled.

"The managers are looking in our direction so we have to be careful today."

"Alright, I'll remember that." Eun Hee said, trying to hide her disappointment. She didn't see Youngjae the whole day so she expected a different reaction from him when they finally met, but he had a point. It's hard spending time together when their managers are watching.

"We are still going on a date tomorrow, right?" Youngjae asked.

"Yes." she smiled.

~

"This is the VIP area, as you can see. All the famous people sit here.." Hyuk did a tour to one of the trainees and pointed at the chairs occupied by my group members and B.A.P.

"Then why don't you go sit with the commoners over there?" Sumi asked and pointed at where the staff were sitting, in a different part of the country club.

"You should stop being so grumpy, it makes you look uglier than you already are." Hyuk retorted, unaffected by her comment.

"Whatever." she rolled her eyes and sat on her chair.

"Let's sit near the girls." Hyuk said and placed his belongings on the empty chair next to Hyeri. Slowly, the other trainees settled next to him, ending with Junsu placing his belongings on the chair next to Yongguk.

"This seems wrong for some reason." Junsu commented after looking at the sitting arrangements.

"Leave it. It's better not to cause misunderstandings." I said.

"Alright." Junsu said and took his shirt off, ready to jump into the pool.

"Are you going to get in the water as well?" Yongguk asked.

"Yes. I'm just going to take my clothes off and put some sunscreen." I answered absentmindedly.

"Let me help." he said, smirking.

"ert." I teased.

"Let's get you ." he whispered in my ear and I hit his chest, blushing furiously.

"I'm going.. Stay here." I muttered and went to my seat, leaving Yongguk behind.

"Why are your face so red?" Sey asked when I sat on my chair.

"I'm dating a ert." I muttered.

"Well, he is a guy and he is deprived thanks to you.." she reasoned. "So it's only natural for him to be like that."

"Don't start." I glared at her.

"Alright. I was just trying to help.." she trailed off.

I pouted and took my dress off, remaining only in my two piece swimsuit. I heard Himchan whistle from his spot and I chuckled. He is sweet and harmless. Too bad Sey didn't think that way because she was glaring at him.

"Why are you getting mad?" Himchan exclaimed when the angry Sey stood in front of him.

"You don't whistle at other girls, I don't care if it's Hyeri or anyone else." Sey said, placing her hands on her waist.

"It wasn't anything serious, you know that she is not my type." he explained.

"I don't care."

"Are you jealous?" Himchan smirked.

"No. I'm just making sure that you are not flirting with other girls while we're dating." she said dryly.

"Alright. I'm sorry, it won't happen again."

"Good." she smiled.

"You are too much." I told Sey when she returned to her seat next to me.

"I can say the same about you." she said and looked at Yongguk, who was staring at us curiously. He bit his lower lip and I rolled my eyes because I knew what he was thinking about.

"Please help me apply the sunscreen on my back?" I asked and handed her the bottle. I already applied it on the front of my body, fully aware of the hungry looks Yongguk was giving me. He is becoming bolder with making his needs obvious and I'm not sure how I feel about it.

"Turn around." she ordered and I obeyed. She started applying it on my shoulders and back.

Suddenly the touch changed. Now a softer pair of hands applied the lotion, rubbing my shoulders and back more thoroughly. It was Yongguk and I smiled even if he couldn't see it. He applied the lotion diligently while massaging my back from time to time.

At some point his long and slim fingers moved beneath my bra strap, making sure all the parts of my back are protected from the sun.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Applying sunscreen on your back and shoulders." he answered innocently.

"It didn't include this area."

"Who said so?" he asked in my ear in a low voice and I felt heat waves rush through my body.

"M.. Me." I stuttered.

"Well, this part of your body is mine and I'm doing a thorough job.. We wouldn't want you to get sunburns, right?" he kept talking in a very low voice while moving his hands to my lower back, applying sunscreen on that area.

"N.. No." I kept stuttering. Damn it. His low voice and his touch are driving me crazy.

"Good." he bit my earlobe and I moaned softly. He smirked but I couldn't see it because my back was facing him.

"You are lucky that there are people here." he commented.

"Why?"

"Because if we were alone I wouldn't have stopped here." he said and turned me around, handing me the sunscreen bottle. I realized that he finished applying the lotion and blushed.

"Thank you." I took the bottle from him, trying to steady my voice.

"This bikini suits you." he complimented after scanning my appearance from head to toe.

"Thanks." I said and he approached me again, closing the distance between us. He bent down to whisper something in my ear and I unconsciously held my breath.

"I know I told you that I love your , but your chest deserves some praising as well." he whispered and I blushed furiously. He straightened up, amused from my reaction.

"We need to do something about all your comments." I said.

"What did I do?" Yongguk asked innocently, pretending nothing happened.

"Stop making me blush and embarrassed." I pouted.

"Alright. I'm sorry." he kissed my forehead. "You can get back at me if you want."

"No thank you." I jokingly pushed him away.

"It's hard when your girlfriend is not attracted to you.." he commented exaggeratedly, pretending to be hurt. I rolled my eyes.

"Do you need sunscreen as well?" I changed the subject.

"You really don't care, do you?" he asked.

"Yongguk.." I growled. "I'm in charge of being whiny and insecure in our relationship, don't steal my job."

"Then compliment me." he asked and placed his hands on my waist, pulling me closer to him.

"This shirt.." my fingers drew patterns on his chest, above the soft fabric. "Is really ugly." I pushed him and he fell into the pool, splashing water everywhere. I smirked, satisfied.

"Yah!" he exclaimed after lifting his head from the water. "That was uncalled for!"

"That was actually hilarious." Himchan commented from his spot and Yongguk glared at him.

"I do things at my own pace, Yongguk oppa." I smiled sweetly.

"You just started a war." Yongguk declared and gpt out of the water, glaring at me. He was determined to get revenge this time.

"I'm sorry, oppa." I said and started running away, knowing he will chase after me and try to drown me in the water.

"Go Hyeri!" I heard the boys cheer and I smiled.

"I'm not the only one getting wet!" Yongguk called while running after me. I turned around, just to see that he took his shirt off in the meantime. I guess that it was heavy since it was wet so he wanted to get rid of the extra weight that was slowing him down..

"I'm sorry.." I mumbled and increased my speed, hiding behind Hyuk. He was the closest thing to use as a shield and a hiding place, at least for a short time.

"Hyuk, move." Yongguk ordered, stopping in front of the younger male.

"What's wrong?" Hyuk asked no one in particular.

"It's a couple's quarrel." Yongguk answered.

"No. He wants to drown me in the pool." I claimed, hiding better behind Hyuk's back.

"You pushed me first." Yongguk retorted.

"You deserved it!" I exclaimed.

~

"Here we go again.." Daehyun sighed, watching the show from his seat.

"Let them be, they'll figure it out sooner or later." Youngjae said.

"Who do you think will win?" Jongup asked.

"Hyeri." Zelo replied.

"Hyeri." Youngjae and Daehyun answered together.

"I think she might give in to Yongguk." Jongup answered.

"I'm with Jongup." Himchan said, joining the conversation.

"Let's make a bet. What does the loser get?" Daehyun asked mischievously.

"The losers gets thrown into the water." Youngjae suggested. "It's only fair because that's what started Hyeri and Yongguk's quarrel."

"Sounds good. The winners can drown the losers in the pool." Jongup said.

"Deal."

~

What I didn't see was Yongguk and Hyuk exchanging knowing looks, plotting something against me. This is why it came as a surprise when Hyuk moved and Yongguk quickly enveloped me in his arms, lifting me up from the ground. I wrapped my hands around Yongguk's neck out of an instinct.

"Yongguk.."

"Do you trust me?" he asked and I nodded weakly. I could feel that we are moving but his soft gaze and his embrace made me feel relaxed and protected. Soon, I was placed on my chair.

"Didn't you want to drown me?" I asked, confused.

"I'll get back at you when you won't expect it." he smirked.

~

"What is this?" Youngjae grumbled when he saw Yongguk placing Hyeri gently in her seat near the pool instead of dropping her into the water.

"These two are really something.." Himchan sighed.

"But they are cute together and Yongguk is actually sweet." Jongup said. "They match well."

"They do." Daehyun said, smiling.

~

"They are disgusting." Sumi commented from her spot when she watched Hyeri and Yongguk's interaction.

"Jealous?" Junsu sat next to her.

"No."

"Your face are green from envy." he teased and she frowned.

"Mind your own business."

"What if you are my business?" Junsu asked. Sumi might have taken it as a tease, but he really meant it.

"I'm only dating people that can benefit me." she stated dryly.

"I can benefit you in the ual aspect.." his fingers slowly moved along her back.

"You are not that good of a lover." Sumi scoffed. "You are not worthy of my time." she abruptly stood up, leaving Junsu hurt.

~

"Noona." Junhong called. I turned my head towards him and I saw that he was sitting in Hyuk's chair.

"What is it, Zelo?" I asked, smiling.

"Can you put sunscreen on my back?" he asked sheepishly.

"Of course." I grabbed the bottle Sey and Yongguk used before. "Turn around."

"I'll do that." Yongguk said, taking the bottle from me.

"Huh? Where did you come from?" I asked, surprised. He was talking to his manager when Zelo came talking to me.

"Why? Am I not allowed to spend time with my girlfriend and help my group member?" Yongguk retorted.

"You are jealous, aren't you?" I asked, smirking.

"No." he claimed.

"Yes you are." I exclaimed, trying not to smile in order not to annoy him. He is so cute like that.

"I already told you that I'm not jealous." Yongguk hissed.

"Zelo, cover your ears for a moment." I asked and the younger male obeyed.

"Yongguk." I called softly, turning my attention back to my boyfriend. "It's Junhong. I treat him just like a little brother, you know that. Why the jealousy?"

"It's not jealousy." he insisted, pouting.

"Then what is it?"

"Nothing." he trailed off.

"Yongguk." I growled. "Talk to me."

"It's a distraction." he smirked and lifted me up. Before I realized what's going on he carried me to the swimming pool and dropped me into the cold water.

"Bang Yongguk!" I yelled when I finally went back up. That was a cold shower I didn't need..

"I told you I would drop you when you won't be ready for it." Yongguk smirked, watching me from above. He was standing near the swimming pool, a smug expression on his face.

"Be a gentleman at least and help me get out?" I asked, straightening my hand for him to take it.

"Everything for you, my love." he bent down and grabbed my hand. Instead of lifting myself up I pulled him inside.

"That's for your behaviour today." I said when he regained his composure. I slowly swam towards him and we settled in one of the pool's corners inside the water.

"What did I do?" he asked.

"Your comments. And the jealousy earlier.."

"It's not jealousy." Yongguk said but somehow I didn't believe him.

"Then what is it?" I asked. He looked at Zelo and then turned his attention back to me.

"I think that he might have developed puppy love towards you.." Yongguk said quietly. I opened my mouth and immediately closed it, realizing I don't know what to say.

"I just don't want him to get hurt and I don't want you to give him false hope."

"How am I giving him false hope? Everyone in the company knows that we are dating and that I only have eyes for you. I never gave him signs that I'm interested in him in that aspect or did something that might encourage him to have those feelings. Besides, if it's really puppy love that it will disappear on its own because his feelings are not deep. He will probably move on to the next person while he meets someone else."

"Hyeri.."

"The fact that you actually thought that I'm interested in him or giving him signs says a lot about what you think about me." I said bitterly.

"That's not what I meant." he tried to explain.

"Let's just stop." I said and started swimming to the other side of the pool. Yongguk followed me but I tried to ignore his presence. I got out of the water and wrapped myself in a towel and sat on my chair.

"The annoyed look doesn't suit you." Hyuk commented while sitting on the edge of my chair.

"I'm not in the mood to talk." I muttered and tightened the towel around my body.

"Let me change that.."

~

Yongguk got out of the water after Hyeri. He wanted to talk to her but he stopped when he saw Hyuk sitting next to her. He was too close fpr his taste but Hyeri didn't seem to mind it. Yongguk clenched his fists, glaring at the two.

He watched as Hyuk moved a few hairs from Hyeri's face and the way she laughed at something he said. Her mood obviously brightened and her face lit up. She even touched Hyuk's arm several times, causing Yongguk's blood to boil. He is usually not the jealous type but something seemed wrong watching them interact. Maybe it's because he and Hyeri just argued or because he could feel Hyeri is trying to annoy him on purpose and he didn't like it.

"Troubles in heaven?" he heard Sumi's voice. She was standing next to him, watching Hyuk and Hyeri as well.

"No." Yongguk answered dryly.

"You know, if I was her I wouldn't get close to anyone else because you are everything I need." her hand gently brushed his biceps. He moved his arm, causing her hand to drop to the side of her body.

"But you are not her and you will never be her." Yongguk said venomously and walked away.

Yujin was sitting on her chair, looking around. Everyone was having fun in the water and running around but she was just sitting there, wrapping her towel around her body. She didn't get in the water, she just wanted to hide. She felt ugly near all the girls wearing bikinis while she didn't. But even if she did wear one, she would probably hide as well because she would feel uncomfortable so it was a lose-lose situation for her either way. She sighed and tightened the towel around her body. She closed her eyes when she felt someone standing in front of her, blocking the sun. She opened her eyes and saw Jongup staring at her, smiling sheepishly.

"Can I help you?" she asked.

"Here." he offered her a popsicle.

"Thanks." she hesitantly took it from him and removed the wrapping, inserting the cold popsicle into .

"Why aren't you getting in the water?" he asked, sitting down next to her.

"I don't feel like it." she shrugged.

"Too bad, I was looking forward to it." he commented and Yujin almost choked from the surprise.

"You did?" she asked, trying to steady her voice.

"Yes. I mean, it would have been fun playing together because it has been a while since all of us were together like this.." he answered and Yujin tried not to show that she was disappointed. But what did she expect anyway? She should have known he is not thinking of her in that way.

"Right.." she mumbled.

"And you look cute in your swimsuit. You should show it off a little." he said and leaned back on his chair, closing his eyes.

That caught Yujin off guard. She blushed furiously but she was relieved that he didn't see that because he closed his eyes. Wait.. But if he saw her swimsuit.. Does it mean he was watching her?

"Jongup."

"Hmm?" he didn't open his eyes yet.

"Can you say it again?"

"Say what?" he opened one eye to look at her.

"Your last sentence."

"You look cute in your swimsuit." he repeated, examining her reaction. Her cheeks flushed and he found it cute. He really thought that she was adorable and that she looked pretty today.

"Thank you."

"Finish your popsicle and let's get in the water."

Youngjae and Daehyun watched the girls curiously from their seats. Hyeri was talking to Hyuk, Yujin was talking to Jongup, Sey disappeared earlier with Himchan, Sumi was nowhere to be found and Eun Hee was just taking her clothes off. For some reason it took her longer than the other girls but it made Youngjae anxious. His gaze followed her movements meticulously.

"You are drooling." Daehyun teased.

"I don't care." Youngjae retorted, still watching Eun Hee.

"Where did she hid that body until now?" Daehyun pondered when Eun Hee finished removing her dress, remaining in her bikini. This comment earned him a smack from Youngjae.

"Watch your own girlfriend." Youngjae retorted.

"I would love to, but she is not here." Daehyun stuck his tongue out.

"I don't care. Stop ogling mine."

"Fine, you party pooper." the older male pouted. "I was just trying to compliment her."

"Then don't."

"Yah, but don't you think that Hyeri still wins?" he asked, moving his gaze to the said female.

"Watch it." Yongguk warned, sitting next to the duo.

"Don't you think she is a little too close to Hyuk?" Daehyun asked the older male. Now Hyeri was smiling brightly, her hands squeezing Hyuk's biceps. Yongguk frowned.

"She is doing it on purpose because she is mad at me." Yongguk said bitterly.

"What did you do?" Youngjae asked curiously.

"I said something about Junhong and she took it the wrong way."

"You noticed it as well?" Daehyun asked and Yongguk nodded.

"See?! Told you there is something going on with him. You thought I was just imagining things!" Daehyun exclaimed, glaring at Youngjae.

"What did I do?" Zelo asked, joining the boys.

"Nothing." Yongguk said and Daehyun gave him a worried look.

"Let's get in the water." Youngjae said and got up, trying to change the mood.

"Where are we going?" Sey asked, following Himchan.

"Trust me." he said and kept walking. They entered inside the building and soon they reached the men's showers.

"Someone can come in." she said.

"Everyone is having fun outside.. We can make it if we'll be quick." he smirked.

"You're hopeless." she sighed.

"Honey.." he caressed her cheeks. "You know that I'm not using you just for that, right? We won't do this if you don't want to."

"I know."

"Good." he pecked her lips.

"Himchan."

"Hmm?"

"Can we talk?" she asked hesitantly. "I'm not in the mood to do.. This."

"Of course." he smiled warmly. "Let's sit down first so you could tell me what's bothering you."

The managers finished grilling the meat and dinner was about to start. Everyone settled near the table. I sat between Hyuk and Sey because I was still mad at Yongguk. We didn't really talk since our argument and Hyuk was a great company. He kept trying to make me smile and it worked.

"Everyone." the CEO stood up, a bottle of beer in his hand. "First of all, I want to thank Hyeri and Jongup who did well and allowed us to have this wonderful gathering." he said and everyone clapped and cheered. "Before we start dinner, I have an announcement to make."

A tensed silence filled the table. His announcements are usually not good.. I wonder what happened this time.

"Our company is about to launch a new project. It's a way to promote all of you better and can help give you more exposure. It's also a way to start revealing the trainees to the public so their debut will go smoother when it's time."

"What is this project?" B.A.P's manager was the first one to talk. "Why didn't you talk to us about it?"

"You will get all the details soon. For now I just want you to think about what kind of music you want to do and with who. You have a week to gather your suggestions before we add ours. We will have a detailed meeting about it in the next week and a half."

"What about our comeback?" Yongguk asked.

"Your comeback is indefinitely postponed because you care about Hyeri more than you care about your own career." the CEO mocked and Yongguk clenched his fists.

Guilt started to surface and I bit my lower lip, drawing blood.

"I'm going to the restroom." I mumbled and stood up, rushing inside the building.

"I guess princess can't handle hearing the truth.." Sumi mocked. "Truth is uglier that what she wants to believe. She is just selfish."

"Shut up." Sey glared at Sumi.

"I'm not taking orders from you." Sumi glared back.

"Girls." Jinu hissed and the girls stayed quiet. "Yongguk, go check how Hyeri is doing."

"Yes, sir."

~

Inside the building, when I was sure that I'm alone, I allowed myself to cry. I sat on the ground, folding my knees to my chest.

"You are such an amazing girlfriend.. Ruining your boyfriend's career because you are selfish." the evil voice in my head mocked.

"I'm not." I said, wiping the tears from my face.

"Did you ever think about the other boys and how they are feeling?" the voice continued.

"They agreed to do this. They postponed their comeback without consulting me because I would never let them do that if it was up to me." I claimed, my voice cracking from crying.

"Does those lame excuses actually work?" he laughed. "You are just trying to make yourself feel better so you won't have to deal with the guilt. Truth is that you are sabotaging their career."

"I'm not!" I exclaimed, tears sliding down my cheeks.

"It's not my fault. I didn't do anything wrong." I repeated this sentence like a mantra while rocking my body back and forth. Maybe if I'll keep saying that I'll actually believe it..

"Hyeri?" I heard Yongguk's voice. It was hesitant, like he wasn't sure if he should interrupt or if it's really me.

"Leave me alone." I buried my face in my hands, trying to hide any traces of my crying.

"Is everything okay?" he crouched down in front of me.

"I'm perfectly fine."

"You don't look fine." Yongguk said and gently moved the hands covering my face. "Why are you crying?"

"Because I feel like it."

"Who were you talking to? It sounded like you were talking to someone.."

"No one." I claimed, trying not to show that I freaked out because of his question. I can't tell him the truth because he will think that I'm weird.

"It didn't look like that.." he mumbled.

"There is no one here. Who could I be talking to?" I exclaimed, annoyed. I hope that he'll buy it and won't question me further.. Please don't ask more questions.

"Alright. I must have heard wrong. I'm sorry." he gently caressed my cheeks, wiping the traces of tears, and I was relieved that he dropped the subject.

"What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see how you are doing." he stared into my eyes and I tore my gaze away.

"Go back outside. You should eat."

"You need to eat as well."

"I'm not hungry."

"You are starving yourself, don't you?" Yongguk asked.

"Where did you get this nonsense from?" I exclaimed.

"What did you eat today?"

"An apple. And I drank a lot of water."

"And yesterday?"

"Ramen."

"That's it?" he asked in disbelief.

"I'm on a diet." I shrugged.

"Hyeri." he growled.

"I know what I'm doing, so stop bugging me. As for today, I'm not hungry because we argued and the CEO annoyed me, so it makes sense I lost my appetite. It doesn't mean I'm starving myself."

"Your eating habits are not healthy." Yongguk stated.

"And how is that related to you?" I asked venomously. "It's none of your business."

"You are my girlfriend."

"Oh, really?" I mocked. "I thought that I'm giving signs to other guys.. I wouldn't do that if we were dating."

"You were flirting just fine with Hyuk today." he retorted, annoyed.

"At least he cares about me. He was trying to make me smile because I was sad thanks to you."

"It's amazing how you still don't think I care about you after everything we've been through."

"It's the same as you thinking that I'm interested in Zelo and giving him signs." I retorted, annoyed.

"I'm sorry about that." he lowered his gaze and I could tell that he was embarrassed. I softened.

"Why are you so insecure lately?" I caressed his cheeks.

"I don't know." he admitted. "I'm just scared you'll leave one day."

"Yongguk." I lifted his face with my hand, forcing him to look at me. "I'm not leaving you and I'm not interested in anyone else. You are the only person I want and need. The rest don't exist to me."

"But you always offer to break up."

"I'm sorry. It's because I'm insecure myself and I always try to run away from problems instead of dealing with them."

"I'm sorry for blaming you for flirting with Zelo. I just don't want him to get hurt.."

"I know." I pecked his lips. "I'm sorry for getting mad at you. It was childish. And I'm also sorry for sticking close to Hyuk in order to annoy you, but he did try to make me smile. He is a good friend."

"Babe."

"Hmm?"

"It's not your fault our comeback is delayed, so don't blame yourself. It was our own decision and we are not regretting it, even if our fans will wait a little longer until they'll see us again."

"Yongguk."

"What?"

"I love you." I said and attached my lips to his. He smiled and kissed me back, deepening the kiss.

"I love you more."

Chapter 156: Wow, I was blaming both of them at 1st, as things could’ve been handled so much better on both sides. I loved how Himchan & Sey reasoned with both of them, but Hyeri crossed a line once Yongguk apologized. I didn’t feel she necessarily deserved it, but I knew they both needed it.... sure the way he apologized, did seem like a back handed apology, as her kissing technique could’ve been discussed privately. But Hyeri towards Himchan, she needs to make this better, and of course, he hit below the belt, but she had consistently hit below the belt prior & then to hit him!!! I’m not sure how this is going to turn out, thank you for updating!!

Chapter 156: I still one hundred percent believe that this entire situation is one in which Hyeri is very much at fault. I don’t think Yongguk is in a position where Hyeri requires an apology and I don’t think Hyeri even DESERVES an apology. She completely blew a small and minor incident out of proportion.

I do believe that Himchan went slightly too far with the comment he made however Hyeri shouldn’t have been as horrible to him as she was.

Chapter 155: Welcome back!!!!!!!!!!! I was BEYOND happy to see the update, wow so much happened, where to begin? I see Hyeri & Himchan are still at each other’s throats, I do wish they could get along, and that Hyeri would see the validity in what Himchan said, but no matter what, I think time stopped when Yongguk said Sumi was a better kisser. I felt bad, that super slam, even if honest, that was the time to lie. Especially knowing Hyeri... I was shocked she would kiss him after that was said, and kept thinking why does kissing Yongguk keep coming up, even after he said she wasn’t as good of a kisser. .... sighs, once again, he’s storming out and even with his stupid honestly, I can’t say I blame him. Thank you so much for coming back & for updating,

Chapter 153: Thank you for updating despite your busy schedule. I truly hope that Hyeri is ok! She let a lot of things off her chest the night before, and while I do wish she would've thought of the impact her leaving like that would have, I hope they catch her in time before she does something that would change all of their lives. Regarding the comment I just read, there's a difference between constructive criticism & just plain being rude. While it's true, being factual or doing some research on weightier subjects is a good rule of thumb, most of us are adults that don't use fanfics as our barometer of social issues. Assuming what someone's language is, was completely unnecessary to state. You don't have to read the story, if you're a writer, you should understand what it takes to create, upload & continue a story remembering details from previous chapters...etc. If you're not a writer, perhaps you should put yourself in the author's shoes before you begin.
