Chapter 62

Masks

"I only want you, when I see you I feel so good.." my alarm clock rang. I turned it off and stayed in bed, trying to get a few more minutes of sleep.

I closed my eyes and scenes from my dream came back to me. Matt was yelling at me again for being fat and then I went to see Yongguk and he broke up with me for the same reason. He told me he is not attracted to me anymore and that we should just go on our seperate ways. I sighed and opened my eyes, trying to get those images out of my head. "It was just a dream, it's not happening." I mumbled, trying to convince myself. "Only a dream."

"Intresting dream again?" Sey asked and winked.

"I wish." I sighed. That dream is better than the one I just had.. At least Yongguk wants me in it and no one insulted me.

"You came back late yesterday." she stated and tied her hair into a ponytail.

"I went to see Yongguk." I said and sat up in my bed, finally acknowledging the fact that I need to seperate from it for the rest of the day.

"Surprising.." she said sarcastically.

"Did you talk to Himchan?" I asked.

"He still ignores me." she pouted.

"You and I need to talk, but after I finish getting ready." I stated and headed towards the bathroom.

Our schedules today were similar to yesterday's schedule. Again Matt was being an , and again Jinu was barely there. I wonder what he is doing all the time, since he is supposed to be with us..

"Hyeri!" Sey sat next to me in the cafeteria during the lunch break.

"What's up?" I asked, eyeing her plate that was filled with chicken salad and tofu. I looked back at my plate, that had two pieces of lettuce on it. Amazing lunch..

"What's wrong with your food?" she asked, looking at my plate.

"Diet." I stated, stabbing a fork in one of the pieces and putting it in my mouth.

"Matt is an . Why is he bugging you like that? It's not like your'e really fat." She mumbled while eating her food.

"Then why are you flirting with him if he is an ?" I asked, staring intently at her.

"I'm.. I'm.. Not.. Flirting." she stuttered, and I rolled my eyes.

"Give me a break.." I sighed.

"I'm really not. It's just rude putting him in place, and I don't want to get in trouble with him by rejecting him."

"Are you even real? Of course you should put him in place." I put my fork down, annoyed.

"Then why aren't you putting him in place about your weight?" She retorted.

"That's different!"

"How?" she insisted.

"Because your problem involves other people as well and you can lose you boyfriend if you keep this up. My problem with Matt only involves me."

"Did you tell Yongguk about it?"

"No, it has nothing to do with him."

"Go tell him about this."

"Don't change the subject." I glared at her. "Go talk to Matt and put him in place."

"No." Sey seemed determined. I really don't get her.. I admit Matt is handsome, but he is an , and she has a boyfriend she claims she love. Why risk it for something that is not worth it?

"I hope that Himchan won't find out about this thing because he will flip."

"He can flip as much as he wants, he is ignoring me for the last two days so he can't complain. It's his fault."

"Why did you fight?" I asked softly.

"He caught me looking at pictures of Matt.." she admitted shyly.

"Sey!"

"What? He completly misunderstood the situation!"

"How can you misunderstand looking at another guy's pictures?" I pondered.

"You just can." Sey said annoyed.

"Go apologize to Himchan and explain everything.. Don't make things more complicated."

"Stay out of it, I will solve my problems on my own." she insisted and got up from our table angrily.

Great, now she is mad at me.. I just wanted to help. I sighed and burried my face in my hands, thinking how to fix this mess.

"Babe?" A deep voice asked. Yongguk.

"Hey.." I lifted my head slowly, trying to smile.

"What's wrong?" he asked, sitting in front of me with his plate.

"Nothing, I'm just tired.." I lied. Well, it's not a complete lie.. I am tired, and I don't want to worry him. Besides, I'm in no position to talk about other people's problems. He will probably hear about it from Himchan anyway..

"Are you sure?" he hesitated.

"Yes." I smiled. "Eat, don't worry about me."

"What about your food?" he asked, looking at my almost empty plate. Now it had only one piece of lettuce left on it.

"I finished eating." I said. I lost my appetite already because of the argument earlier. "But I'll stay with you until you finish, I have time until my break ends."

"Take some of my food." he offered.

"I'm not hungry, and I'm on a diet." I rejected his offer, and he pouted.

Yongguk started eating and I couldn't help but stare at his food. It looked so good and I didn't eat properly for the last couple of days, so my body reacted on it's own.

"Are you sure you don't want anything?" he asked, nearing his fork to my mouth.

"Yes." I pushed his hand back.

"Then stop drooling." he said and I covered my mouth. Oops..

"I was just teasing you." he chuckled. "But my offer still stands."

"Thanks, oppa." I smiled genuinely.

"Babe.." Yongguk called again.

"What?"

"You look gloomy and a little pale. Are you sure your'e okay?" he examined my face.

"Yes.. I just argued with Sey."

"I'm sure you can figure it out." Yongguk smiled reassuringly, holding my hand.

"Probably.." I mumbled.

"Do you want to go on a date on the weekend? I'll treat you to something nice."

"It's my turn to pay." I stated.

"Pay next time."

"That's what you said in our previous date! If you are planning on doing this forever it won't work." I tried to sound confident and determined.

"Fine." he sighed. "You choose what to do and you can pay if you want to, but don't go overboard. I like simple things and casual dates."

"Deal." I smiled.

"Saturday?"

"Whale! What the hell are you doing here? Our practice is in five minutes. You should be in the gym by now." Matt was standing near our table, glaring furiously at me. The blood drained from my face. I'm fine with him scolding me, I just hope Yongguk didn't hear him properly.. I don't want to worry him.

"S.. Sorry." I stuttered. "I'm going." I stood up.

"Stay." Yongguk grabbed my arm.

"I need to go." I released my arm from his grip.

"Excuse me." Yongguk turned to Matt.

"Yes?" Matt asked.

"Don't you know you should treat girls properly?"

"What girls?" Matt looked around like he is searching for something.

"This girl." Yongguk pointed at me.

"Oh, whale." Matt smiled. "I'm her instructor, I can treat her however I want. Now if you excuse me, I have practice to get to. Whale, come with me. We are late." he turned to leave.

"Mister." Yongguk raised his voice a little. Matt stopped walking and turned around to face Yongguk.

"Do you have a problem?" Matt asked.

"Yes." Yongguk glared at him. "I have a problem with the way you are treating my girlfriend. I don't care who you are or what is your job, but next time you call her a whale or make fun of her I'm going to make sure you spend some time in the hospital, and not because you are visiting someone."

"Did you finish pretending your'e a gangster?" Matt mocked. "I don't have time to deal with you since I am paid to train your whale and her friends." I noticed Yongguk was clenching his fists.

"Oppa, stop." I glared at Yongguk. "Matt, let's go, we are late."

Yongguk glared at me for a moment before speaking again. "Babe, you and I need to have a serious talk afterwards. Come see me when your'e done for the day."

"Fine."

"And you, mister", Yongguk glared at Matt, "Mess up one more time and I won't be that nice."

Matt smiled and walked away, heading the gym. I joined him, leaving Yongguk alone in the cafeteria.

The practice was unusually quiet. Matt still made fun of me, but I ignored him. My mind wasn't there anyway.. Too many things happened today, from Sey to Yongguk. I just tried to stay focused while doing the acrobatics so I won't fall. I can't afford getting injured right now, especially if only me and Sumi can do the complicated things.

"Help me tie this thing properly." Himchan asked the blonde secretary. He was wearing a suit and he was struggling with the bow tie for a while, until he gave up.

"Come over here." the beautiful female giggled and signaled him to come closer to her. She started undoing what Himchan has done, laughing at how ridiculously he tied it. They didn't notice, but at that moment Sey was passing in the hallway, just behind them.

"OPPA!" Sey yelled. Himchan paled.

"Y.. Yes?" Himchan turned around, startled. "What are you doing here?" he smiled.

"What the hell are you doing?" she asked, annoyed.

"Let's talk somewhere else." he said quietly, trying to signal her it's not a good idea to talk in front of the secretary.

"Why? So you'll have time to think of an excuse?"

"No. I just don't want to cause a ruckus here. We are in the middle of the hallway if you haven't noticed. People are actually working at this hour, I don't want to interrupt them."

Sey looked around, finally understanding what he meant. "Fine, let's go."

Himchan smiled apologetically to the secretary and followed Sey.

"Why were you flirting with her?" Sey asked the moment they were alone.

"I wasn't flirting, she was helping me to tie this." he pointed at his bow tie.

"Let me do it." she said and got closer to him, starting to work on his tie. The last time they were this close was a couple of days ago. Her sweet scent struck him, reminding him how much he missed her.

"Where are you going all dressed up?" Sey asked.

"A movie premiere."

"With the boys?"

"No, with my 'wife'." he felt she stopped tying his tie. He cleared his throat. "All the couples on the show are going."

"Well, at least your wife gets some attention from you, since your actual girlfriend isn't." Sey said while resuming her mission.

"You were the one that started looking around. Apparently I'm not enough anymore." Himchan tried not to show he was hurt. He gave her all the attention he had to give, but she still looked around. When he said that, Sey tied his tie strongly, causing him to cough.

"WHAT THE HELL?" Himchan yelled, trying to release the tie to get some air.

"Sorry. It was a mistake." she smiled innocently.

"Save it. I'll ask the secretary again." he turned to leave.

"Oppa.." she grabbed his arm.

"What?" Himchan asked annoyed. He really didn't want to hear more excuses. If she wants to break up with him she should just tell him that instead of going around and doing things behind his back.

"You are more than enough for me. I looked at him because I was curious about him, not because you are not enough. And I was frustrated because you barely gave me attention the couple of days before it happened and Matt keeps complimenting me, so I got a little affected. I'm sorry, I know I was wrong and I hurt you."

"What do you mean he compliments you?" Himchan glared at her. She stayed quiet. Maybe she made a mistake by saying this..

"Well?" Himchan questioned when Sey didn't answer.

"Nothing. He is just flirting a little, like you always do."

"Did." Himchan corrected her. "I'm not flirting with anyone since we started dating."

"Okay, did."

"What did he say?" he asked.

"Nothing special.. I don't really remember because I didn't pay any attention to it." Sey shrugged.

"Is he like that with the other girls as well?"

"I don't know."

Himchan wanted to say something, but his phone rang.

"Yes, hyung." Himchan answered the call.

"Where are you? we need to go." B.A.P's manager said from the other side of the line.

"I'm coming." he hanged up.

"I need to go. We will finish this talk afterwards."

Author's Note:

I know it's crappy.. I'm sorry. I know I say it a lot, but I'm really trying to work on that and improve myself.

Anyway, I left the best parts for the next chapter, so the next one is better (and with more B.A.P. The whole B.A.P.)

Reminder for the plot (since I only mentioned it once ot twice) - Himchan is on "We Got Married" with someone from AOA (you can pair him with whoever you want :P), that's what the 'wife' part was referring to.

Chapter 156: Wow, I was blaming both of them at 1st, as things could’ve been handled so much better on both sides. I loved how Himchan & Sey reasoned with both of them, but Hyeri crossed a line once Yongguk apologized. I didn’t feel she necessarily deserved it, but I knew they both needed it.... sure the way he apologized, did seem like a back handed apology, as her kissing technique could’ve been discussed privately. But Hyeri towards Himchan, she needs to make this better, and of course, he hit below the belt, but she had consistently hit below the belt prior & then to hit him!!! I’m not sure how this is going to turn out, thank you for updating!!

Chapter 156: I still one hundred percent believe that this entire situation is one in which Hyeri is very much at fault. I don’t think Yongguk is in a position where Hyeri requires an apology and I don’t think Hyeri even DESERVES an apology. She completely blew a small and minor incident out of proportion.

I do believe that Himchan went slightly too far with the comment he made however Hyeri shouldn’t have been as horrible to him as she was.

Chapter 155: Welcome back!!!!!!!!!!! I was BEYOND happy to see the update, wow so much happened, where to begin? I see Hyeri & Himchan are still at each other’s throats, I do wish they could get along, and that Hyeri would see the validity in what Himchan said, but no matter what, I think time stopped when Yongguk said Sumi was a better kisser. I felt bad, that super slam, even if honest, that was the time to lie. Especially knowing Hyeri... I was shocked she would kiss him after that was said, and kept thinking why does kissing Yongguk keep coming up, even after he said she wasn’t as good of a kisser. .... sighs, once again, he’s storming out and even with his stupid honestly, I can’t say I blame him. Thank you so much for coming back & for updating,

Chapter 153: Thank you for updating despite your busy schedule. I truly hope that Hyeri is ok! She let a lot of things off her chest the night before, and while I do wish she would've thought of the impact her leaving like that would have, I hope they catch her in time before she does something that would change all of their lives. Regarding the comment I just read, there's a difference between constructive criticism & just plain being rude. While it's true, being factual or doing some research on weightier subjects is a good rule of thumb, most of us are adults that don't use fanfics as our barometer of social issues. Assuming what someone's language is, was completely unnecessary to state. You don't have to read the story, if you're a writer, you should understand what it takes to create, upload & continue a story remembering details from previous chapters...etc. If you're not a writer, perhaps you should put yourself in the author's shoes before you begin.
