Chapter 91

Masks

"Oppa.." I snuggled closer to Yongguk. We were cuddling on the couch in the studio, enjoying each other's company.

"Hmm?" he hummed, tightening his grip around me.

"Do you have crazy ex-girlfriends like that detective?" I asked, looking up at him.

"No." he smiled and planted a soft kiss on my forehead.

"Tell me about you ex-girlfriends."

"Are you sure you want to know?" he hesitated.

"Yes. We never really talked about it.." I said quietly, getting shy all of a sudden. Did I make a mistake asking this?

Yongguk pulled a little backwards, so now we were facing each other. He made sure to hold my hand tightly and he kept caressing the back of my hand with his thumb in a relaxing way.

"Alright." he smiled, reassuring me. "I told you already about Hanna, but I guess you should know about the rest as well."

"They won't come back to hunt me, right?" I joked.

"No." He chuckled.

"Alright."

I waited quietly for him to speak. For some reason, I started to feel nervous. I want to know about his past, but at the same time I'm scared to know about it. What if I won't like what he'll tell me? Or what if I find out he dated impressive girls I can't compete with? Or worse - What if he still thinks about them now and then and if he still has lingering feelings?

"That's stupid." I told myself. "If he had lingering feelings he wouldn't have dated you. Besides, the only person he might still have some feelings towards is Hanna, and it's not like she can return his feelings or be a threat to you." I continued reasoning, convincing myself.

"Babe?" Yongguk's voice cut me off from my thoughts.

"Hmm?"

"Are you okay? It looked like you were daydreaming.." he asked worriedly.

"Yes, I'm fine." I smiled. "Tell me."

"Okay." he smiled. "I had my first girlfriend when I was fifteen, but since we were young it wasn't really a serious relationship. We dated like three months and broke up. After that I dated someone when I was seventeen and we dated for two and a half years. She was my first serious girlfriend."

"Why did you break up?" I asked curiously. Two and a half years is a long time, especially in that age. There must be a serious reason why they broke up.

"I caught her cheating on me with one of my friends."

"What is wrong with that girl?!" I exclaimed, feeling annoyed. Who would cheat on an amazing guy like Yongguk? And their relationship seemed pretty serious since they dated for a while.. Why ruin something like this?

"Why are you getting so worked up?" Yongguk asked, ruffling my hair.

"She is a ."

"Don't curse." he poked my forehead.

"But she is!" I exclaimed. "And an idiot becaue she missed an amazing guy like you. Beside, who cheats after dating for so long?!" he chuckled. Truth is he found it cute that she got all worked up because of it. It was like she was hurt for him.

"We started fighting a lot about the the most stupid things for a while before I caught her cheating. I guess it was for the best since we would have probably broke up sooner or later regardless of her cheating.." he reasoned. How can he be so level headed about this? I would never be able to refer the topic this calmly like nothing happened and like it wasn't a big deal. It's not that I hold grudges, it just that it takes me a while to recover after being hurt, especially from something serious like this. And I would probably still be bitter about it and question what was wrong with me instead of accusing the other person of cheating.

"Still." I pouted. "I would never cheat on you."

"I know you won't." Yongguk smiled brightly, and it made me smile as well.

"And after that girl?" I asked.

"After that I met Hanna, and you already know my story with her."

"I do."

"And then there is the most important person I started dating." he said, taking me by surprise. I always thought Hanna was his last girlfriend before me, but now it seems like I was wrong? I started to have a bad feeling about this. He also said she is the most important. If she is more important than Hanna then does he still has feelings for her?

"After Hanna I started dating you." I looked at him confused. We are talking about ex-girlfriends, so why is he mentioning me? Is he breaking up with me?

"You are the most important person I started dating since you are my present and hopefully my future as well." Yongguk explained when he saw my confused expression. I was still frozen, trying to understand what he meant.

"Babe.. Do you still not get it?" he asked, amused. I shook my head.

"You are more important to me than all my ex-girlfriends combined. The only thing that matters to me right now is you because you are my girlfriend. The other girls are in the past."

I sighed in relief, finally realizing his intention. Now my insecurity and fear turned to anger. I took the pillow from the couch and started hitting Yongguk repeatedly with it, wherever I could reach.

"Babe!" he exclaimed while trying to protect himself from my hits. His arms covered his head, protecting it.

"It's for scaring me and making me think you want to break up with me!" I claimed and hit his shoulder.

"You were the one that misunderstood!" he argued.

"Still.." I hit him again. He grabbed the pillow, stopping me from hitting him, and stared intently at me.

"What?" I asked. Him taking my only weapon caught me off guard.

"Payback time." he smirked and tossed the pillow to the floor. He leaned on top of me, making sure I won't be able to move because I was trapped between the couch and his body.

"Oppa, go away." I tried to sound confident. He shook his head, still smirking.

"I'll scream." I tried to threaten him. Well, both of us knew I was just teasing and that I won't actually do it, but I still tried my luck.

"Scream." he said and immediatly attached our lips together. Now even if I try to scream it will be muffled because of our kiss. I stopped fighting him and let him kiss me. When he noticed I relaxed he my lips, signaling me he want to deepen the kiss. I smiled and did as he wanted, letting the sweet feeling take over me. He has the ability to make me forget about everything, including my own name and my surroundings. It's like he put a spell on me that never breaks. I smiled while biting his lower lip, teasing him.

"Tease." he mumbled and started my neck.

"You deserved it." I said and he bit my skin, making me flinch.

"That hurt!" I whined, rubbing the spot. I'm pretty sure it will leave a mark.. And I'm going to get scolded. Well, it. I'll deal with it afterwards. Right now the only thing that matters is me and him.

"You deserved it." he imitated me, smirking.

"I hate you." I pouted.

"Liar." he teased and my earlobe. I moaned and I could feel him smiling. I tugged his hair, signaling him to look at me.

"You are right. I like you. A lot." I said while staring at him.

"I like you too, babe. You have no idea how much." he said and captured my lips again. This time he didn't have to ask for permission since I was the one asking for more.

Himchan found Sey in one of the practice rooms. She was sitting there by herself, hugging her knees to her chest.

"Honey.." Himchan called softly and approached her, crouching down to her level. She lifted her eyes to look at him and he saw that her eyes were red, like she was crying.

"Hey.." she said weakly.

"Why were you crying?" he asked worriedly.

"I didn't cry." she said and stood up. He stood up as well, facing her.

"I can tell you were crying, so don't lie to me."

"It's nothing." she shrugged.

"Honey.." he caressed her cheek gently.

"What?"

"I love you." he said and a small smile was formed on her face.

"I know." she said, leaning onto his hand that was still placed on her cheek. "I was just scared." she admitted, looking down.

"You have nothing to be scared of, I'm not leaving you." he lifted her chin, making sure she looked at him while he said that.

"I just don't like her."

"I don't like her either." he stated, and Sey chuckled. A smile formed on Himchan's face. They stood like this, silent, for a few moments.

"I'm sorry it took me so long to come." Himchan broke the silence.

"It's fine." she assured him.

"I brought you something." He said and she finally noticed that he had one of his hands behind his back.

"What is it?" she asked curiously.

"Here." he took out a bouquet of red roses and presented it to her. She started to blush, and he smiled. She looked cute like that.

"Thank you." she took the bouquet shyly from him and smelled it.

"You know what is the meaning of it, right?" he asked and she shook her head. She was always bad at this kind of things.

"Red roses symbolize true love." Himchan said and her face matched the color of the flowers he just gave her. He chuckled.

"Thanks, oppa." she smiled and hugged him tightly.

"There is a note inside, idiot." he and poked her forehead. She frowned and looked inside. She found the note, but she also noticed something else inside the bouquet - A black velvet box, the one you usually use for jewelry. She took it out carefully and looked at Himchan, who was smirking. She opened the box and saw two rings in it. She looked at Himchan, confused.

"I'm not proposing to you, so don't get your hopes up." he said when he saw her confused look.

"I don't want to marry you either, you jerk." she shot and he laughed. Yup, she is definitely feeling better now.

"It's couple rings." he said, smiling, and took the box from her, showing her the rings inside. They were two simple metal rings that were designed almost the same. She look at it in awe.

"Stop drooling, will you?" Himchan teased Sey when she didn't say anything. "Do you like it that nuch?"

"I do!" she exclaimed and wrapped her arms around his neck. He wrapped his free arm around her waist, smiling.

"I'll try to wear it all the time, but you know my fans have eyes of an hawk, so I need to be careful. I'll promise I'll carry it with me even if I don't wear it." he said and ruffled her hair lovingly.

"It's okay, oppa." she said sweetly. "I love you." she kissed his lips. He smiled and kissed her back eagerly.

"Oppa.." I called Yongguk when he was walking me back to my dorm. We were walking slowly, holding hands and enjoying the view and the cold breeze of the night.

"What is it?" he asked and squeezed my hand.

"What would you have done if I had a crazy ex like Eunji?"

Yongguk stopped walking and looked at me. "That's easy." he smiled, and I gave him a questioning look.

"I would have made sure he knows you are mine and that I'm not letting you go." he said. I know it may sound cheesy, but it always makes my heart flutter when he says sweet things like this.

"Thank you." I said shyly.

"Have I told you how happy I am you don't have any exes?" he asked, smiling.

"You did." I said, getting embarrassed. Dating for the first time at the age of 23 is not something to be proud of.

"Hey.." he noticed my face fell. "There is nothing to be ashamed of."

"How did you know what bothered me?" I asked confused.

"They say girls are complicated, but you are actually quite easy to read." he smiled.

"Idiot." I mumbled, but still smiled.

"Stop treating it like a defect or a disease. Nothing is wrong with you, you just had other things in mind other than dating. It's normal and there are guys who appreciate it. I am one of them, and I'm happy because this way you'll get to experience all your first times with me. I'm honored to do that with you."

My heart was beating like crazy and the butterflies went crazy inside my stomach. He is so sweet and he always knows how to make me feel better. I tiptoed and kissed him gently on his lips. He was surprised at first, but kissed me back after a short moment.

"What was that for?" he asked when we parted.

"A thank you for being an amzing boyfriend." I smiled. He smiled as well, showing his gums.

"Let's go, it's getting late." he said and started walking, leading me to my dorm.

I laid down on my bed, thinking about this whole day.

Yongguk is so nice and I actually got to know a new side of him when we talked about his ex-girlfriends. Looks like he only had serious relationships and like he doesn't fool around much. I was relieved knowing that. I trust him and I know he wouldn't hurt me nor play with me, but it assured me that dating him was the right decision.

It's kinda weird how my life started revolving around him.. I used to be by myself, only caring for my own interests, but things changed when I got accepted to TS and started training. I care a lot about the girls and B.A.P as well, and I would do a lot for them, but Yongguk is special. Maybe because he was always there for me when I had a hard time and when I needed someone to lean on, but I found myself leaning on him more and more, even for trivial things. The whole Zico thing probably helped as well.. I think it made our bond even stronger.

Zico.. I sighed. I hope this whole thing will end quickly because I want to go on with my life and leave this thing behind. There is also my debut, and I don't want anything to affect it nor ruin it. The girls worked hard, it will be a shame if something overshadows it because of something that is not related to them. I decided to talk to Eunji the next time she comes and to figure out a way to solve this thing. It has to end.

~

Eunji was sitting on the floor in her room, staring at the poster on the wall. It was originally a B.A.P poster, from their latest comeback, but she cut it and now only Himchan was there.

She twisted the knife in her hand, glaring at the handsome man in the picture. The same man that used to be hers.

"I am going to get you back." she declared and threw the knife on the wall, hitting Himchan's mouth. The knife got stuck on the wall after piercing the poster.

She examined the result, satisfied.

Eunji got up and walked to the poster, tracing Himchan's face with her finger.

"You are mine, oppa."

Author's Note:

I just felt like I need to add some closer to the ious chapter and finish the day propely.

The next chapter will probably be less fluffy and more serious.

And I'm excited since I have a few new ideas for the future plot, but it might take a while to get there since I have things to finish first (like the girls debut).

Speaking of this, I have a question - Do you want me to focus more on the side stories like Youngjae and Eun Hee? I originally planned to add short parts about them, but one of my ideas requires expanding their parts a little. I'm just not sure if it's intresting or not..

Thanks for reading, commenting, subscribing, etc.!

Chapter 156: Wow, I was blaming both of them at 1st, as things could’ve been handled so much better on both sides. I loved how Himchan & Sey reasoned with both of them, but Hyeri crossed a line once Yongguk apologized. I didn’t feel she necessarily deserved it, but I knew they both needed it.... sure the way he apologized, did seem like a back handed apology, as her kissing technique could’ve been discussed privately. But Hyeri towards Himchan, she needs to make this better, and of course, he hit below the belt, but she had consistently hit below the belt prior & then to hit him!!! I’m not sure how this is going to turn out, thank you for updating!!

Chapter 156: I still one hundred percent believe that this entire situation is one in which Hyeri is very much at fault. I don’t think Yongguk is in a position where Hyeri requires an apology and I don’t think Hyeri even DESERVES an apology. She completely blew a small and minor incident out of proportion.

I do believe that Himchan went slightly too far with the comment he made however Hyeri shouldn’t have been as horrible to him as she was.

Chapter 155: Welcome back!!!!!!!!!!! I was BEYOND happy to see the update, wow so much happened, where to begin? I see Hyeri & Himchan are still at each other’s throats, I do wish they could get along, and that Hyeri would see the validity in what Himchan said, but no matter what, I think time stopped when Yongguk said Sumi was a better kisser. I felt bad, that super slam, even if honest, that was the time to lie. Especially knowing Hyeri... I was shocked she would kiss him after that was said, and kept thinking why does kissing Yongguk keep coming up, even after he said she wasn’t as good of a kisser. .... sighs, once again, he’s storming out and even with his stupid honestly, I can’t say I blame him. Thank you so much for coming back & for updating,

Chapter 155: WOOP WOOP!! MY FAVE FANFIC IS BACK!!! And OMG this is spicy as hell. I just wish Hyeri would stop being a drama queen and finally realise that she needs to get some help and that Yongguk loves her.

Chapter 153: Thank you for updating despite your busy schedule. I truly hope that Hyeri is ok! She let a lot of things off her chest the night before, and while I do wish she would've thought of the impact her leaving like that would have, I hope they catch her in time before she does something that would change all of their lives. Regarding the comment I just read, there's a difference between constructive criticism & just plain being rude. While it's true, being factual or doing some research on weightier subjects is a good rule of thumb, most of us are adults that don't use fanfics as our barometer of social issues. Assuming what someone's language is, was completely unnecessary to state. You don't have to read the story, if you're a writer, you should understand what it takes to create, upload & continue a story remembering details from previous chapters...etc. If you're not a writer, perhaps you should put yourself in the author's shoes before you begin.
