Day 19:

Yongguk didn't talk to me much yestreday, but I can understand it. I tried to give him space, so I didn't bother him.

Today we have "Music Core" recording.. I walked back to my dressing room before the recording when I met Zico again. Great.

"Good morning, pretty girl.." Zico smiled.

"Morning.." I answered.

"What's with your reaction? Are you not happy to see me?" He pretended to be hurt.

"I'm just tired." I said dryly.

"Where is your bodyguard? It's weird seeing you by yourself.." Zico asked sarcastically after looking around.

"Probably working or resting.. Wer'e not spending time with each other 24/7." I answered in the same tone.

"Good." He smiled.

"I need to go." I said, not wanting to spend more time with him.

"Bye, princess.." He said mockingly and waved his hand. I went back to my room, leaving him behind.

We did live performance this time instead of pre-recording. Everything was normal until the middle of our song. Yongguk kept looking up, and I didn't understand why. I could tell he was nervous for some reason.

"Hyeri, watch out!" He shouted just before it was my turn to sing. What is he doing? it's a live broadcast. And what should I be careful of anyway? Before I realized what's going on he pushed me and I fell on the floor. He was laying on top of me, making sure I was well covered. Suddenly there was a loud thump. I looked around, searching for the source of noise, and I saw that a part of the lighting system fell down, exactly where I stood earlier. Different thoughts started to crawl into my mind.

"Are you ok?" Yongguk asked worried. He examined me, trying to see if I got hurt.

"I.. Don't.. Know.." I mumbled absentmindedly. He became more worried.

"Does anything hurt?" He asked, moving aside so he can see if I'm hurt somewhere.

"No."

"Good."

"Oppa.." I said quietly.

"It's okay.." He said in a calm voice and hugged me. I wrapped my arms around him. His left hand caressed my hair, trying to calm me down.

"Your'e bleeding!" I exclaimed when I noticed blood on his right arm. He looked at it, examining the cut.

"It's nothing, probably one of the glasses hit me.." he shrugged. "As long as your'e fine."

I still couldn't relax. It's blood. He is hurt. Because of me. I was supposed to be there.. It was supposed to be me. It was supposed to be me.. The realization finally drowned on me. I couldn't control my crying afterwards.

"Hyeri.. It's okay. Everything is fine.." Yongguk tried to calm me down, but it was no use. My crying just got louder and louder.

People gathered around us, yelling and crying. Others were running around, but I was oblivious to everything. The only thing I knew at that moment was that Yongguk was there with me, and his voice was the only thing I heard from all the noise around us. I was still crying pretty badly, but he was there all the time. He hugged me and caressed my hair and kept saying things that will calm me down. I buried my face further in his chest. His shirt was wet from my crying by now, but it didn't matter.

"It.. Was.. Supposed.. To.. Be.. Me.." I mumbled while crying.

"But it wasn't. Your'e fine and I am fine, and everything is fine. It was just an accident." He said softly.

"No.."

"Babe, look at me." He said softly and lifted my chin with his finger so I'll look at him. He wiped my tears with his free hand. "Look, I'm here with you, and you are not hurt anywhere, right?" I nodded. "Then everything will be fine. Trust me, ok?" I nodded again. "That's my girl." He smiled and patted my head.

"Don't leave me.." I clutched his shirt tighter. He got the massage and hugged me tighter, pulling me closer to him.

"I won't, I promise."

I don't know how long we stayed there like that, but I finally ran out of tears. Some people tried to talk to Yongguk while we were sitting there like that, but he asked them to come back later.

"Did you finish crying?" He asked while examining my face.

"Yes.." I answered weakly.

"Do you feel better?"

"A little.."

"Can you stand up?" He asked worriedly.

"Yes." I slowly got up, but I was still holding onto his arm. He got up as well.

"Let's go rest in your room, ok?" He asked smiling. I nodded.

My dressing room was in chaos. There were a lot of people from MBC, Jinu, other staff from the company, Mamamoo and their staff and some passerbys who wanted to know what happened and if everything is okay. So many people..

"Hyeri, why are you scaring us like that?" Solar exclaimed when I entered our dressing room and ran to hug me. The other members approached us as well.

"I'm sorry.." I said quietly. Soon all of them squeezed me into a hug.

"Yah, give her some space, she needs to breath.." Yongguk scolded.

"Sorry.." They apologized after releasing me.

"Oppa, your'e hurt.." Moonbyul said and pointed her finger at his arm.

"I'm fine.." he said.

"But you were really cool back there!" Wheein exlaimed and did a thumbs up.

"Thanks.." Yongguk said shyly.

"Go check you arm." Jinu ordered Yongguk, interrupting their conversation.

"But Hyeri.." Yongguk tried to protest.

"I'm here with her, go worry about your health." Yongguk looked worriedly at me, trying to see if I'm really fine. I nodded, signaling my approval. His health is important and I'm not alone..

"I'll be back soon, okay?" He asked me. he put his hand on my back while doing it.

"I'll be fine, just go."

"Hyeri.." Jinu called me over after Yongguk left.

"What?" I asked when I went to him.

"Is everything okay?" He asked worriedly. I nodded.

"You know you can tell me.." He said softly.

"I'm fine." Well, it's partially true, but I don't want to worry him for nothing.. I probably just need to rest quietly.

"You look pale." He stated.

"I'm okay.. I'm just.. Tired, and it's noisy here.. Can you ask some of them to leave?"

"Sure, sure.. Go lie down on the couch and rest, I'll make sure only the ones who are supposed to be here are here."

"Thank you."

"I'm your manager, I will always take care of you.." Jinu smiled and ruffled my hair.

I don't know what he did, but it worked. Some of the people left, and it was much quieter right now.

I think I fell asleep for a while, since when I woke up Yongguk was back already. He was sitting on a chair next to the couch I was laying on and watched me sleeping. I noticed he had a small bandage on his arm.. I hope it's not serious. I scanned the room. The onle people that was there right now was both of us and the people from our company.

"Your'e up." Yongguk smiled warmly when he noticed I woke up.

"Yes.."

"Are you feeling better? Does anything hurt? Do you need something?" he showered me with questions.

"Yes, no and no."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. How is your arm?"

"Nothing serious, just a scratch." He smiled. I was relieved.

"Excuse me.." a female cop approached us.

"Yes?" Yongguk asked her.

"Can I talk to you for a couple of minutes? I need to take your testimony on what happened.."

"Hmm.." Yongguk hesitated and moved his gaze between the cop and me. "Can we do this here?"

"As you wish.."

"Okay." Yongguk said to the cop and then turned to me. "Babe, I'll be here on this side, okay?" He pointed at the other side of the room. "If you need anything just tell me.."

"Just go.." I said.

Yongguk went to a quieter part of the room and talked to the cop. In the meantime I went to take a water bottle. I twisted the cap and took a sip. After that I went to my bag to search for my phone. While I was searching for it a note fell down from my bag. I read it - "Next time I won't miss".

The water bottle dropped from my hand and water started to scatter all over the floor.

"Your girlfriend is cute.. And pretty." The female cop said while sitting down in front of Yongguk.

"She is not my girlfriend." Yongguk said dryly.

"Oh, I'm sorry.." She blushed and started to flip the pages in her notebook.

"What do you want to know?" Yongguk asked impatiently. He wanted to be with Hyeri, not doing this interrogation right now.

"Let's start with your name, age and contact information."

"Bang Yongguk, I'm 26 years old, and you can get the rest from my company." She wrote everything meticulously in her notebook. "What else do you need?"

"Tell me what happened."

"We were doing our song as usual, but I noticed that something was a little weird with the lighting. I don't know how it was in the other performances, but when it was our turn there was a part of it that looked like it was going to fall.."

"What do you mean by 'it looked like it was going to fall?'" She questioned.

"It looked like it was a little lower than the other parts.. I thought it was nothing at first, but then I noticed that part moved a little as well.. If you watch the recording you can probably see that I was looking up a lot before it happened."

"And then what?"

Yongguk was about to answer when he heard a noise coming from Hyeri's direction. He looked over there and he saw something was wrong, although he didn't know what it was. Her water bottle was on the floor and she looked in shock. She held onto something he couldn't see clearly.. Maybe a piece of paper?

He rushed over to her, worried.

"What is it? What's wrong?" He asked.

"N.. Nothing.." She looked at him and tried to smile. It was clearly not nothing, but he didn't want to force her to talk if she doesn't want to.

"What do you have in your hand?" He asked and pointed over to that piece of paper.

"Nothing, just some trash.." She said and threw it in the trash can. He should pick it up later when she won't notice..

"If you wanted my attention you should have just asked, you know I will always fulfill your wishes.." He tried to make a joke in order to distract her from whatever it is she was thinking about.

"Your'e not the center of the world, idiot. Not everything is about you." She replied. He smiled. Mission accomplished.

"Ouch." He pretended to get hurt from her answer.

"Go back to your cop, she is waiting."

"Go rest then."

"Fine, I'm going." Hyeri said and went to sit on the couch, next to Jinu, who was busy talking in his phone.

Yongguk went back to talk with the cop, but he still kept stealing glances at Hyeri. She worries him. Even if she says she is fine, he knows better than to believe her.

"Is everything okay?" The cop asked.

"Yes.. I'm sorry, I just wanted to check if everyhting is fine.."

"It's okay."  She smiled. "Let's continue.."

Yongguk believed me, right? I don't want him to start interrogating me about that note, especially if I don't know myself what it means. The last time I had a note was couple of months ago, and even then I didn't know what it was about. I didn't do anything to anyone, why would someone want to hurt me?

It's better not to tell Yongguk anything, I don't want to worry him more..

"Hyeri.." My thoughts got cut off by Jinu.

"What?" I looked at him.

"Let's go back to the company, it's been a long day."

"What about Yongguk?" I asked.

"He finished already.." He said and pointed over to Yongguk and the cop. They were shaking hands, meaning they were done talking.

"Then let's go." I tried to smile.

Hyeri was sleeping in the car. Yongguk sat next to her, examining her. She looked fine, but something still didn't feel right. He had a weird feeling he couldn't explain. He flipped the note in his hands once more. It's definitely them. But would they really go this far?

He came back to reality when Hyeri stirred in her sleep. She wasn't shouting or crying, but she moved a lot and cold sweat covered her face. It looked like she was having some kind of nightmare.

"Hyeri.." Yongguk nudged her arm lightly. She woke up.

"Was is it?" She asked confused. "Did we arrive at the company?"

"No.."

"Than what is it?"

"You had a bad dream." Yongguk stated.

"No I didn't.."

"Your'e sweating."

"It's hot in here." Hyeri said as a matter of fact and started to fan herself with her hands. Their car was relatively cold, and if he didn't suffer from the heat it's probably not that hot in there. Something is definietly not right, but what?

Yongguk put his hand on Hyeri's forehead in order to check if she has a fever, but it felt normal.

"Why are you bugging me?" She frowned.

"I'm sorry.." He apologized immidietaly.

"Wake me up when wer'e there." She said and went back to sleep. Yongguk sighed. What is he going to do with her?

Actually, I'm not that happy with how it came out, but that's the best I can do right now.. I hope you'll enjoy it anyway :)

Next chapters will be.. intresting. (And hopefully I'll manage to write them properly..)

I might focus on Yongguk a little more in the next chapters, I haven't decided yet.

The next update will probably be more towards the weekend.

P.S - Yongguk's new song is.. not something I expected. But I kind of like it :)
