Chapter 8

Masks

I woke up after sleeping for 18 hours straight. I was exhausted, physically and emotionally, and I needed that long sleep in order to regain energy. That was the best way to use my rare day off.

I lazily got out of bed and went into the kitchen to get me something to eat, since I didn't eat anything for the last two days and I was starving. The dorm was empty, but that was normal since it was still late afternoon and everyone is practicing right now. There is no way to get back to the dorm before seven or eight in the evening, unless your'e sick.

I opened the fridge and looked at it's contents. I sighed when the only thing I saw there was vegetables. What was I expecting anyway? I decided to go to the supermaket to get some groceries since I'm not going to eat vegetables today, there is no way they will satisfy my hungry stomach.

After brushing my teeth and washing my face I wore a t-shirt and a jeans, tied my hair lazily and put on sneakers. I was ready to go.

On the way to the supermarket I thought about yesterday. I was mean to Yongguk, and he didn't deserve it.. He was just trying to help. I should apologize to him, but how? I'm not allowed to get close to him or to any other male in the company beside the staff. I sighed.

I walked through the different passages in the supermarket looking for something to cook. While scanning the meat section I thought about making Yongguk and the boys a meal as an apology. That sound like a good idea since they probably don't eat that well because of schedules, and they will probably be happy to have a home made meal.. It's actually one of the things I miss the most. I picked groceries for their meal as well, and I decided to make the food today because I had time.

I started cooking when I got home. I hope it will be enough food for them, because they are six guys, and they have Daehyun and Himchan with the unending appetite. When I finished cooking I checked the time. It was 20:00 by now. How am I going to give it to them without being cought?

I put the food in lunchboxes on the table and went back to my room. I should wait for Sey to come back and ask her for advice, maybe she will have an idea. In the meantime, I took out a paper block from one of my drawers and strated writing my apology.

"Why does the house smell lika a restaurant? you know wer'e on diet!" Sey exclaimed while walking into the living room.

"Does it smell good?" I smiled.

"Yes. What did you make?" She asked and started to check the containers on the kitchen table.

"That's not for us!" I hit her hand lightly before she tasted the food.

"Then who did you made it for?" She asked suspiciously.

"B.A.P. And I need your help."

"I knew it!" She smiled brightly. "Did something happen with him?"

"Not what you think." I sighed.

"Then what happened?" She asked confused.

"I was pretty mean to Yongguk and I want to apologize, but I can't go and give it to them because I'll get kicked out if I'm caught near them."

"Then what do you want to do?"

"Can you help me pass it to them?" I used my cutest facial expression and my cutest voice.

"Yah! You know we can't go there as well.. And don't try to use your aegyo on me!"

"I know, but you can get caught once, and you can meet them outside the second floor, I can't do even that." I tried to look pitiful.

"Did you get punished that bad?" she started to soften.

"Yes.." I stared down at a random spot on the floor.

"They should be in the practice room until late to work on their show, and we should hurry up so the food won't get cold." Sey said after a few minutes of silence.

"Yes, thank you!" I jumped on her to give her a tight hug. "I knew I could count on you to help me.."

"Yah, let go! I can't breath!"

"Deal with it!" I stuck my tounge at her.

"Your'e lucky I like you."

"I like you too." I smiled brightly.

~

B.A.P was still in the practice room when there was a knock on the door. After a few seconds the door opened and Sey walked in with a bunch of containers filled with what smelled like food.

"Hey.." Sey smiled brightly and walked into the center of the room, getting the attention of the boys.

"What are you doing here?" Himchan asked confused.

"I'm doing a favour for someone who wanted me to give you dinner." She said and put the boxes on the floor, except for one.

"Who?" All the boys were staring at her curiously.

"Hyeri. She can't come here, but she made the food for you and she asked me to deliver it for her." Yongguk looked uncomfortable when Hyeri's name was mentioned.

"Why?" Jongup asked.

"Just be gratefull, she didn't let me touch it so you can eat." Sey rebuked him. "This is for you." She handed the lunchbox in her hand to Yongguk and gave him the letter I wrote as well.

"Whay does he get a special box?" Daehyun asked.

"Just because."

"You can take it." Yongguk shoved the container back into Sey's hands.

"You don't have to be that rude.. At least read her letter." She scowled.

"I'm not intrested." He said dryly.

"She worked hard on it.."

"I don't care." Yongguk shrugged.

The boys looked at the two of them confused, trying to figure at what is going on.

"Your'e impossible. You know your'e half responsible for what happened.." Sey was starting to lose her patience.

"I'm not Sumi, and I'm not responsible for their fight."

"You are responsible for part of it, don't act like you didn't add fuel to the bonfire.."

"I have no idea what your'e talking about."

"Really?" Sey questioned.

"Really." Yongguk raised his voice a little. This conversation has started to get on his nerves.

"Fine. I won't force you to read her letter or to eat her food, but if that's what you want, please stay away from her. She doesn't need any more trouble."

"I would love to do that."

"Great."

"Guys.." Youngjae said quietly.

"What?" Sey and Yongguk asked simultaneously.

"The food is getting cold and we can't eat if your'e like that.." Youngjae said.

"I'm going anyway, it's getting late. Himchan, please bring me back the boxes afterwards.. You know where to find me."

"Of course." Himchan smiled warmly at her.

"Enjoy your meal!" Sey said smiling.

"Thank you!" The guys answered together and Sey left the practice room.

"What was that all about?" Daehyun asked when they were alone and five pairs of curious eyes landed on Yongguk.

"Nothing."

"Then can I have your food?" Daehyun asked while stuffing himself with meat. "It's really good."

"Have fun." Yongguk said and walked out of the room.

"Where are you going? We still have to practice.." Himchan called after him.

"For a walk. I'll be back by the time you finish eating."

~

Yongguk felt like he was suffocating in the practice room. He needed to get some fresh air. He circled the comapny building twice by now, but he still couldn't relax. Eventually he sat on a bench in a nearby park. He kicked some stones that were near him, but it didn't help him empty his mind. Why is he so mad?

Yongguk sighed. He took out the letter from his pocket and turned the envelope in his hand a couple of times. Maybe he should read it, she did made an effort to write it and to cook the food for them. After a few minutes of hesitation and debating with himself he finally opened the letter.

Gukkie!

Or should I call you oppa? Can I?

Wait, what am I talking about when you probbaly don't want to read my letter anyway..

If you are reading this, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry.

I was really out of it yesterday and I didn't want to push you away or to get mad at you. I know you were just worried about me and tried to help me, and I'm grateful for that.

I'm sorry, and I'm an idiot.

I hope you enjoyed my food. I know you probably don't eat regulary and that you don't have a chance to eat a lot of home made food, so I made you something nutritious. My mom used to make it for me all the time when I wasn't feeling well so I could heal quickly.

I'm sorry for blabbing.. you probably don't care about that, so just ignore the last sentence.

Anyway, Fighting! And I'm sorry. Please forgive me?

I can't come and see you because I will be kicked out, so don't get offended if I ignore you.. I'm not doing it because I want to.

I'm sorry once again. And I'm sorry.

Also, thank you!

The idiotic Hyeri.

Yongguk finished reading the letter and a smile spread all over his face. Maybe he should give her another chance.. She did apoligized.

~

"Here." Himchan put a lunchbox on the table in front of Yongguk. He recognized that box, it was one of the containers Sey brought from Hyeri. He stared at Himchan confused.

"You didn't eat anything, right?" Himchan asked and Yongguk nodded. "Eat it, it's really good."

"Thank you."

"You owe me, I had to fight Daehyun for it.."

"Don't worry, I'll pay you back with interest." Yongguk smiled and went to the microwave to heat the food that was already cold by now.

"Bang."

"What?" Yongguk turned around to face Himchan.

"I don't know what is going on, but be careful."

"I am careful."

"Really?" He questioned.

"Really. And don't worry, I'm not doing anything."

"You know it's not that.." Himchan sighed. "You deserve to be happy, just don't drag innocent people into this mess. It's already complicated enough, and I don't want Hyeri to get hurt as well."

"I'm not dragging her anywhere and I'm not doing anything. Why is it so hard to understand?"

The microwave beeped, cutting off their conversation.

"Enjoy your meal." Himchan said and went back to his room, leaving Yongguk by himself.

Yongguk took out the box and started eating. He didn't realize how hungry he was until he took the first bite. It was indeed delicious.

At night he turned around in his bed over and over, unable to fall asleep. Thoughts were driving him crazy. What is he going to do?

~

"Here." Sey threw a crumpled piece of paper at me.

"What is it?" I asked confused.

"Your response."

I stared at the piece of paper in my hand. She didn't have to tell me who it was from, I already knew. I was surprised but also happy to recieve it. I started reading the note.

Hyeri,

Your'e younger than me, so it's a given you'll call me oppa.

I couldn't hide my smile. It sounded like something Himchan would say, not Yongguk. I continued reading.

Your'e forgiven :)

I undestand you had a long day, it happens to all of us. Next time, try not to push away people that want to help you..

Me and the boys enjoyed your food a lot. Your'e a good cook, and it was nice having an home made food. Thank you for spending time and effort on making it.

I will be happy to eat it again someday, if you'll want to cook for me once more, of course.

Do well in your training, I want to see you debut.

I'll see you around I guess..

Gukkie.

P.S - It's really weird communicating like this.. I think that the last time I wrote notes/letters ike this was at school..

P. S Number 2 - Don't get too attached to me.

I stared at the last sentence in his letter. I read it again a few times, trying to understand. What did he mean in not getting attached to him?

Author's note:

Mmm..

I just wanted to say thay I'm going to be a little buisier from the beginning of the week because of my studies, so the next updates will probably be once or twice a week and not on a daily basis\every two days like it was until now.

I'll try to update more often, but I can't promise more than that right now.. If I have the time and the muse you'll get updates more often :)

Chapter 156: Wow, I was blaming both of them at 1st, as things could’ve been handled so much better on both sides. I loved how Himchan & Sey reasoned with both of them, but Hyeri crossed a line once Yongguk apologized. I didn’t feel she necessarily deserved it, but I knew they both needed it.... sure the way he apologized, did seem like a back handed apology, as her kissing technique could’ve been discussed privately. But Hyeri towards Himchan, she needs to make this better, and of course, he hit below the belt, but she had consistently hit below the belt prior & then to hit him!!! I’m not sure how this is going to turn out, thank you for updating!!

Chapter 156: I still one hundred percent believe that this entire situation is one in which Hyeri is very much at fault. I don’t think Yongguk is in a position where Hyeri requires an apology and I don’t think Hyeri even DESERVES an apology. She completely blew a small and minor incident out of proportion.

I do believe that Himchan went slightly too far with the comment he made however Hyeri shouldn’t have been as horrible to him as she was.

Chapter 155: Welcome back!!!!!!!!!!! I was BEYOND happy to see the update, wow so much happened, where to begin? I see Hyeri & Himchan are still at each other’s throats, I do wish they could get along, and that Hyeri would see the validity in what Himchan said, but no matter what, I think time stopped when Yongguk said Sumi was a better kisser. I felt bad, that super slam, even if honest, that was the time to lie. Especially knowing Hyeri... I was shocked she would kiss him after that was said, and kept thinking why does kissing Yongguk keep coming up, even after he said she wasn’t as good of a kisser. .... sighs, once again, he’s storming out and even with his stupid honestly, I can’t say I blame him. Thank you so much for coming back & for updating,

Chapter 155: WOOP WOOP!! MY FAVE FANFIC IS BACK!!! And OMG this is spicy as hell. I just wish Hyeri would stop being a drama queen and finally realise that she needs to get some help and that Yongguk loves her.

Chapter 153: Thank you for updating despite your busy schedule. I truly hope that Hyeri is ok! She let a lot of things off her chest the night before, and while I do wish she would've thought of the impact her leaving like that would have, I hope they catch her in time before she does something that would change all of their lives. Regarding the comment I just read, there's a difference between constructive criticism & just plain being rude. While it's true, being factual or doing some research on weightier subjects is a good rule of thumb, most of us are adults that don't use fanfics as our barometer of social issues. Assuming what someone's language is, was completely unnecessary to state. You don't have to read the story, if you're a writer, you should understand what it takes to create, upload & continue a story remembering details from previous chapters...etc. If you're not a writer, perhaps you should put yourself in the author's shoes before you begin.
