“Hyung, it hurts…,” Kai whimpered, hiding his face in Taemin’s side on the bed as he endured the throbbing pain in his head.

“I know,” Taemin said comfortingly and rubbing his friend’s back, “Hopefully the medicine will start working soon.”

“I hate headaches.”

“I know. They really . Just try to sleep if you can,” Taemin advised, continuing to rub soothing circles on the younger’s back.

After a while, Kai began to sniffle making Taemin’s shoulder wet from the tears that fell from his eyes. Alarmed, Taemin hugged Kai closer.

“Does it hurt that bad…?” he asked, feeling immensely bad for Kai.

Kai only nodded, not wanting to speak. He just wanted the pain to go away.

Kai and Taemin continued to lie in bed in the pitch black room, hoping Kai’s headache would go away soon. Taemin hated seeing his best friend in pain and Kai hated being in pain, but as long as Taemin was there then he knew he would make him feel better.
