Love Letter
Best Friends
After lunch, Kai parted ways with Taemin and walked to his locker to gather his books for his next class where he found an unexpected surprise waiting there for him. It was a pink letter, folded in the shape of a heart. He stared at it puzzled for a few moments before flipping it over to the backside where a message was written in red pen.
Kai oppa, I like you. Please accept my feelings for you.
- Kim Minjung.
Kim Minjung. He knew the name sounded familiar but he just couldn’t match the name to the face. He placed the letter back inside the locker and grabbed his books before setting off to his next class.
It was nearly half way through the History period and Kai was very close to ripping his brain out. It’s not like the lesson was very hard, it was just long and annoying. This stuff happened thousands of years ago; how is it relevant to today? How does it affect him?
He had no idea.
He was completely bored out of his mind until he heard the teacher reprimanding a student in the row in front of him.
It was girl with long, dark hair with a yellow ribbon in her hair. He couldn’t remember her name but she was certainly pretty.
“Kim Minjung, pick up your pencil and work,” the teacher said before moving on to scold another student in the back.
Kai’s interest peaked as he stared at the girl—Minjung. So that’s who she was.
She certainly seemed like a sweet girl and probably wouldn’t have minded accepting her letter to him. He probably would have asked her to hang out with him during lunch some time or have a study sesson after school.
The only thing holding him back was that he recognized her as one of the students who was talking bad about Taemin last week.
At the end of the school day, Kim Minjung returned to her locker with a blue sticky note on it.
Sorry. I don’t like girls who talk badly about others. -Kai
