Goodbye, Elementary School
Best Friends
“Yes! Finally!” Kai cheered, throwing up his school bag then catching it again. “Elementary school is over! Middle school, here I come!”
Taemin laughed at his friend’s antics. “You’re that excited to be entering middle school? The work is only getting harder, you know that right? And there’s super mean teachers. And more homework,” he reasoned, listing the downsides to a new school.
“Oh,” Kai muttered, his wide grin falling to a frown. “That . Never mind, I don’t want to go to middle school.”
“But,” Taemin said, “We’re getting closer to being grownups. Isn’t that cool?”
“Oh yeah!” Kai exclaimed, suddenly excited again. “That’s sweet. Then I don’t have to go to school! And I can do what I want! No more bed time for meee~!”
Taemin, stopping at the gate of their elementary gate, looking back at the school he’s been attending for seven years. He was happy he’d be leaving. He didn’t care for the teachers, nor the bullies. Hopefully once entering middle school, things would get better since he wouldn’t have to always be around his old classmates. Plus, maybe he would make some new friends. Not that he really needed any new ones—he had Kai after all.
He turned his back on the school, and resumed walking with Kai.
Goodbye, elementary school.
Now, Taemin and Kai would be starting on a new journey.
