Oh hey look, another chapter. I was bored and cold, and currently having an idea-blockage for my other story so here's a short chapter. Enjoy~

It was the first day of first grade and two little boys were wandering around the busy classroom in search of the desks with their nametags on them.

“Mine’s here!” Taemin said, placing a hand on the desk in the front row to the right side of the room. Kai looked and pointed at the laminated paper taped on his friend’s desk. “It’s numbers and letters!” he exclaimed.

“Colors too!” Taemin added. “Let’s find your desk now.”

The two searched a little longer, finally coming across a desk in the back row that had Kai’s name printed on it. It was on the same column as Taemin’s but they were disappointed they wouldn’t be sitting together this year.

“Well, there’s still lunch time and playtime,” Taemin reasoned, trying to cheer Kai up.

“But it won’t be the same,” Kai whined, pouting.

Taemin was going to say something else to cheer his friend up but was cut off by the teacher telling everyone to sit down. Taemin waved goodbye to Kai before he walked back to his seat in the front.

The day went by slowly, the only fun times being lunch and playtime, where Taemin and Kai were joined at the hip. Currently, it was playtime outside and the two were underneath the slide playing with the woodchips.

“First grade doesn’t seem very fun,” Taemin commented, scooping a small pile of woodchips into his hands. “It’s no fun without you sitting with me. I don’t like the girl who sits next to me. She’s weird.”

“I’ll tell her to stop being weird then,” Kai said laughing. “But you need to tell the boy next to me to stop picking his nose.”

“Ew!”

“He’s gross.”

The two were laughing the rest of the playtime until they were called to come back inside.

Kai walked up to the girl that sat beside Taemin and told her to stop being weird.

Taemin told the other boy to stop picking his nose.

When the school day was finally over, Taemin and Kai were showing each other their blue and purple pinch marks they had received.
