Settling down at their usual lunch table in the corner of the cafeteria, Kai took a shaky breath as Taemin began eating his food.

“Hyung, I think I’m gonna do it,” Kai confessed.

Taemin stopped mid chew to look up at his friend who looked pale as a sheet. “Do what?” he asked, a little confused as to what his friend was mumbling about.

“I think I’m going to audition for SM,” Kai clarified, still taking in the information himself.

Taemin stopped everything he was doing and practically jumped out of his seat, grinning ecstatically. “Kai, that’s great! When is it?”

“It’s in a month and a half. Two weeks before graduation.”

“You’re going. And I’m going to cheer you on and so it Jonghyun and so is SaeJin, I’m sure,” Taemin said, excited about the event. “I’m so glad you’ve decided to audition. You’re gonna kick !”

Kai let out a shaky sigh, “You think so?”

“Obviously, you are. You’re going to be amazing, I just know it.”

Kai grinned to himself, suddenly feeling less nervous now. “Thanks. I need to really practice hard now.”

“I’ll help you practice this weekend. My Kai is gonna be a star!”
