Pinkie Promise
Best Friends
Taemin walked to Kai’s house Saturday morning after having woken up at seven with a purpose. He had gotten dressed in a matter of five minutes before walking out the door. He had arrived and knocked on the door, knowing it was probably locked. As expected, no one answered for five minutes so Taemin decided to enter a different way.
He walked around to the other side of the house where he knew the kitchen was. He climbed onto three stacked, plastic chairs and took off the window screen, dropping it to the grounds before pushing open the window. He climbed up through the window, careful to not fall, and into the sink before closing the window and padding up the stairs to Kai’s room.
Yes, he had successfully invaded his friend’s house through the window. He high fived himself as he walked up the stairs.
He walked right into his friend’s bedroom and stealthily climbed into bed, getting comfortable under the blankets. He giggled at Kai’s sleeping form, finding it cute how Kai was drooling a little. Taemin blew on his friend’s face for a few minutes until Kai finally woke up, nearly jumping out of his skin when he saw Taemin grinning at him.
“Y-Yah, hyung! What are you doing here?” he asked sleepily, rubbing his blurry eyes.
Taemin giggled as he answered, “I needed to tell you something.”
Kai snorted, “Was it urgent enough to come here at an ungodly hour on a Saturday morning?”
Taemin nodded seriously, “Yes.”
Kai yawned before sighing, “Fine. What is it?”
Taemin smiled, pointing at Kai, “You. You cannot leave me. You always have to be my friend.”
Kai smiled widely, chuckling as he said, “Is that really all you had to say?”
“Yes.”
“Of course I’ll always be your friend. Always.”
Taemin held his pinky finger up to Kai’s face. “You have to pinky promise.”
Kai laughed but attached their pinkies and pressed their thumbs together to seal the deal. “I promise to always be your friend, Taemin hyung.”
“Okay, good. Now if you break that promise, I’m seriously going to cut off your pinky finger, then I’m going to feed it to you before punching you in the face.”
“Love you too, hyung.”
Celebrating on getting my car back with a bottle of sparkling apple-marionberry cider. Non-alcoholic since it's a school night and the parents are home but man, this stuff is the . So fruity and delicious.
