Yoona doesn't know what to do. That moment she let the young girl joined her in the car, her entire body seem to froze. Even her heart, it stopped from beating? For the last 5 months, she's been so mess up because of the break up. And the reason of all these is because of the girl, currently in the next seat, staring outside.
Yoona sighed, and dangerously tilted her head to the right, so she could see the young girl's side profile.
She gripped on the steering wheel, and gritted her teeth, can't admit no more that she used to be the this angel's lover.
Silence engulfed her.
Joohyun, Why do you keep on appearing? When I don't want to see you?
She thought, at the back of her mind. Before she could be drawn down to her beautiful features, she quickly turned away from her and focus on the road.
"Aigoo... " Unintentionally, she let out a loud sigh, coming from her broken heart.
"Yes? You said something?" Seohyun was immediately interrupted, staring at her obliviously.
Suddenly the rain pours so hard, Yoona wasn't able to answer back, as her attention were immediately outside.
"Oh, It's raining..." Yoona sheepishly commented. The awkwardness between them was still there. So somehow in the middle of her mind, she doesn't want to entertain her broken heart.
"But, Don't worry, I have my umbrella at the back. We can still reach our destination." added her, feeling like an idiot, talking to herself.
The moment of silence engulfed once again, before the young girl's voice was heard.
"Rain, I like them." Seohyun utters, which Yoona's ears perked upon hearing such statement.
"That's not-"
"Where are you taking me anyway?"
Yoona stirred away from the door for a quick, and glances to the girl beside her. "Um, as what I've said... I'm out for a break. You don't need to ask." she said, as then, she went back to the road, driving carefully.
A heavy sigh was heard from the young girl. "Okay."
"Um... Uh... " Yoona bit her bottom lip, couldn't seem to continue now that the girl's voice was no longer can be heard. It regrets her for instance, that she sounded cold towards her. Plus the fact that Seohyun made her remember that one thing. Yes, that crying in the rain. She can still remember, every time they're in a fight, the latter will always wish that it will rain, so she wouldn't see her crying. Has she moved on? She doubted.
After a moment, she finally had the right mind to voice out.
"How did you... how did you... I mean... you know I'm still working at these hours?" Her eyes were not even to her, and she sounded out of breath.
"I'm the president's daughter, of course I would know." Seohyun softly answered, simply.
Yoona didn't answer. She stopped the car in front of a cafe, before she answered said, "Um, Let me get the umbrella first." she left the car, and then went back to open the car for the young girl, holding the umbrella she promised to her.
She held out her hand for her, yet, for some unknown reason, she immediately retracted her hand. That noticed the young girl. A small smile curved on Seohyun's lips, amuse at her sudden change of mind.
"I'll hold the umbrella for you." said Yoona, almost like a whisper.
Seohyun got the hint, as she steps out from the car, and stood next to the doe-eyed. Their eyes met very instantly, yet, it was only for a second. Both looked away as if it's forbidden in their eyes to have met one another.
"Sh-shall we." Yoona cleared , telling the young girl.
"Yes." The latter complied, walking by her side by side on the way to the entrance of the said familiar cafe. Once they were in, the owner of the cafe, Sooyoung, widened her eyes when she realized who Yoona is with.
"O-Omo! Joohyun! You are Here! Are you girls, back together?" Sooyoung exclaimed, happy to see them together. Yoona glared at Sooyoung, which also made the young girl look at the doe-eyed next to her.
"It's been a while, Unnie." Seohyun decided to shrug, greeting the older girl instead. She was grateful to have seen the same girl in the cafe. She's the owner after all.
"Unnie, the same order, please." Yoona loudly said, before she lead Seohyun to the corner of the cafe. Sooyoung nodded, as then she left the counter and disappeared behind the kitchen door.
Seohyun and Yoona were soon, settle down across with each other, but still don't have the courage to look at one another. Not to mention, to even create another conversation.
The way to the cafe was totally awkward. How can they feel comfortable, now that they are facing?
Somehow, at the back of Yoona's mind,
Why did I invite her, here? Babo me. She regretted to even go out from her office. It's not like she doesn't want to see her anymore, it's just that, she's not yet ready to face her again. It only causes for her heart to feel that pain. Tears are hinting to drop. Yet, it was a miracle and she had hold it. Maybe because, Seohyun is in front. And she is use to hold it back if her lover is just nearby. She's totally different if the latter is not around.
A few moments later...
"Um, Yoona... " Seohyun broke the silence between them, staring back to Yoona who is looking down to the menu.
Hearing nothing from the deer, She took a deep breath and proceeds, "How-how... are you doing? Um... It's been 5 months." she bit her lip, trying so hard to not stutter. Her voice sounded so hesitant.
Yoona slowly looked up from the menu to Seohyun's eyes. Yet, she immediately turned away. Instead, she looked outside.
"I'm... Okay. But... busy with works." she said softly.
Seohyun nodded, staring down to Yoona's necklace around her deer like neck. She smiled because, the rilakkuma necklace she gave is still in her care.
"You? You've been away from the city for 5 months as well." Yoona smiled, slightly. After she realized, she can now talk normally. But still, she is not staring back at her.
"I'm good. Really good... " Seohyun sighed, can't take her eyes off of Yoona's side profile. Even though the latter is not staring, she wants to observe the doe-eyed she missed for 5 months.
"I-I... saw the photos from your recent photoshoot." Yoona regretfully uttered.
"Chincha?"
The deer shyly nod her head, to confirm. "You're... so pretty there... Joohyun. As expected from you." She can sense it. That awkwardness between them is starting to fade.
Seohyun blushed. "Thank you. Um, by the way... “but Before She could forget, she hastily brought her shoulder bag out and pulled out something from it. "Here. My father asks me to hand this to you. Yoo-Yoona... ssi."
Yoona finally give a damn to look at the young girl across her, but it was only a quick. Her eyes immediately landed to the envelope she is handing her.
"What are these for?" Yoona accepted it.
"Some additional files to be presented tomorrow. And, actually... “Reluctant, Seohyun took another heavy lump in before she skip to her next words. "Father... he wanted to... ask you if you could help me work with my speech? I mean, I'm going to talk to investors as well. That's if... it's Okay?"
Yoona's jaw slightly opened, upon hearing such request. "Are you sure He said this?"
"Yes! Wae? It's only-"
"I mean, I will help you?" Yoona suddenly exclaimed, taken Seohyun aback.
"If it's bothering you, then you don't need to do this." Quick at changing her mind, Seohyun grabbed the enveloped from Yoona's grasp and quickly toss it inside her shoulder bag.
