YoonHyun's Story
[Pajama Girl]
Funeral. Flowers. Tears. People are sad. More tears.
Only for a reason, my mother died.
I can assume all of these, the moment I put myself in Seoul.
Yoona closes her note, after writing down once again the thoughts in her head. She was gloomy. It was, ever since she knew about the death of her mother. Usually, she's only cold, doesn't have any cares on whatever was going on, as long as she is doing the right thing, but at the moment, she is surprised with herself. As if she's also sad about the death of her mother, she can feel her heart is broken? But her mind. It is always like, contradicting her broken heart. Her mind is happy about the death of her mother, but her heart is too sad.
You cannot blame her. She hated her mother, and so as her father.
Now that she's on the plane, on the way back to Seoul, she can only wait for her fate to be over. After all, it's only a week. After this week, she's going back to her original place—California.
Yoona escape a big yawn, and set aside her note/diary in the side, before she gradually lowered her blind fold to have her nap, finally. But she felt a poke on her shoulder, which she consequently just pointed to the next seat.
"Okay." She was right, though. The person who is poking her is a flight attendant, catching her attention to her food. After placing the food tray in the next seat, Yoona change her mind and took her blindfold off of her. She turned to the next seat, and casually took the chicken burger she ordered.
"Let's see how's their burger." Yoona uttered softly, before having a bite of it. Yoona's face lit up a little, having tasted of her favourite. Craving it for more, she put her hands up in the air, catching the flight attendant's attention. "Two more chicken burger place!" she said, loud enough. It even caught some attention of the few passengers around. But she simply just brushes them away and added some words, "Two sodas too."
"What's this? Restaurant?" One rude guy chuckled, after hearing her order.
Yoona just stuck her tongue to the former and just ignore him, as she resumes to her food. One thing that makes Yoona's mood a little bright, at the moment, her favourite. Yes. If she's sad or she's moody, a chicken burger is definitely her medicine. Just don't disturb her, and her current mood will continue.
Not long after, the flight attendant went back with two more burgers. Yoona excitedly accepted it and started to eat them happily.
After just an hour of enjoying her chicken burger, Yoona had a satisfied burp and a full stomach. She checks on her time and it strikes 8am, EST. If she's not mistaken, it's already afternoon in Seoul. Yoona escape another huge yawn before she finally settle down, with her blindfold on her eyes again, and two hands on both arm rest of her seat. A few moments later, she finally drifted to her sleep.

Yuri excitedly placed the two gallon of ice cream on top of the table, in Seo Residence, when she heard the fast steps of her best friend, climbing up stairs. She literally giggles, knowing that her best friend also had enjoyed their quick visit in a mini zoo.
"What happened to her?"
Yuri snapped out from her thoughts, hearing the familiar voice of a woman. She smiled inwardly to the other. "We had a quick stroll in a nearby mini zoo, Auntie."
"And Joohyun was like a kid again, enjoyed it?" Mrs. Seo said, pulling a chair so she could sat down.
"Yep. She is." Yuri also did the same, across her. "Oh, here. Joohyun said you ask for a mango and cookies and cream flavour?"
Mrs. Seo literally had a wide grin upon realizing the ice cream in the table. Yet, before she could enjoy it, Yuri asks her something.
"Joohyun won't tell me why you wanted ice cream today, Aunt Seo. I was just curious, why? I mean... it's rare that you ask something from your daughter. I assume something is... "
"Crave. I'm just craving of this Yuri." said Mrs. Seo, as she stand up and proceeds to the cabinet, and brought three plates out of it.
Yuri nodded her head, convinced about Mrs. Seo's answer. She turned around, and watch as the former bringing out three plates. "Oh, Auntie, It's Okay. I'll be leaving in a while though." she said, knowing that the kind mother will ask her to join them in the dinner.
"You bought the ice cream, Yuri. Let's have dinner together. Besides, I and Joohyun will only be the two until tomrrow morning, since her father is on the night shift of his work. And also, we can't finish the ice cream just the two of us." Mrs. Seo said as a matter of fact. She put the plates down to the table along with its mat and proceeds in the pan, where she had left the main dish.
"Um, O-Okay." Yuri said, can't reject the offer no more. "L-let me help you."
"No. You're a guest Yuri. I think you can help me with Joohyun." Mrs. Seo rejected Yuri's offer, immediately. Instead, she ask her to grab her daughter's attention for the dinner.
"Oh sure, Auntie." Yuri said, before she escape the kitchen and the living room, before she went upstairs. Thus, before she could walk in Seohyun's room, she texted her.
to Hyunnie:
[I'm going inside.]
After she sent the message, she heard footsteps and in no time, the door opens, revealing her best friend, wearing only in her towel, wrapping it around her body. Her hair is still even damp.
Yuri smiled at the sight of the young girl.
"Oh, You just had... shower?" obvious, she ask her verbally and using her hand.
Seohyun nodded, blushing. 'I was about to change my clothes, when you texted me.' She told her moreover, showing an awkward smile.
"Oh, Okay. Hahaha. I'm sorry, Best. Just want to inform you that the dinner is up." Yuri replied. Likewise, she had a sign of eating. "You might want to change your clothes now?"
Seohyun showed an okay sign before she casually closed the door. After she closed the door, she literally scream on her mind while she whines, feeling her cheeks burned. Yes, they're friends, yet, never once they show their skin to each other. That was definitely the first time.
Seohyun sighed, cupping her cheeks, while can't stop her smile all over her face. She gradually drag her feet on her bed and sat down at the edge of it.
Why am I always like this? Yuri is just my crush. Well, I admire her, really... 'cause she make me feel so special. Is this called, love already? Aww... my heart.
Seohyun furiously shook her head, as her palms were against her chest, feeling it beating tremendously. If she's deaf and mute, well, she thought, she is starting to have a heart disease.
For the past 2 years, I've liked her.
Honestly, her feelings for the tan girl started when Yuri took care of her so well while she's sick. She was in the hospital, and Yuri took care of her until she recovered from dengue. That didn't stop her admiration for her. When Yuri won a certain contest, the latter treats her to a restaurant, which she really couldn't afford. Then Yuri would always surprise her with her favourite cupcake, every time it's her birthday.
It is simple, but it seriously gives a big impact in her heart. She has grown to like her more than just a best friend.
Seohyun couldn't agree no more, remembering how did her feelings grown for her best friend. Though she's not confessing yet, one day, she will. And she hopes, Yuri is the same.
Out of a sudden, at the middle of her thoughts, she noticed her phone lightened. She gradually took it and opened the message that was received.
from Yul:
[What are you taking so long? I and your mother is waiting here. Quick!]
Seohyun's eyes widened, reading the message. 'She's having dinner with us?'. Omo! She immediately rushes to her closet and started to change her clothes in a fast pace.
Babo. I can't let Yuri wait for me.
-------------------------------------
After the great dinner, Yuri finally wave goodbye to Seohyun and to her mother. Seohyun close the door of their house and took a deep sigh of joy, along with her bright smile all over her face. Indeed, being with Yuri every seconds and hours mean a lot to her. Not just she's a best friend, but she's totally a special someone. Whilst, her mother is staring at her quitely, ready to tickle her once again, when a phone rings. Mrs. Seo change her mind and gradually left her daughter, still in the door, smiling like an idiot.
A few moments later, Mrs. Seo went back, and find her daughter, already in the couch, writing something on her diary. For once, she wanted to take a peek of her daughter's only notebook, yet, she never can have a chance. Her daughter is so secretive when it comes to her own thoughts. Instead of disturbing her, she went back to the kitchen and brought her a glass of milk.
"I'm going inside, first. You follow, Okay?" Mrs. Seo asked, in which, her daughter replied her with a nod of her head. She roughly ruffles her hair softly before she went upstairs.
Seohyun usually do her diary in her room, but since she's not going to sleep early, she is doing it in the living room. Honestly, it is for her mother to see her that she's not going to sleep early. When her mother finally left, she groggily stopped writing and opened the television, rather. Yes, she's definitely not going to stay up late too. She's only going to watch her favourite anime, Keroro. Ever since she had her condition at an early age of 8, she has been watching a special keroro show, where she can understand, through a subtitle on the screen .
Unknown to her, her mother hasn’t really left yet. Mrs. Seo had a genuine smile, watching her daughter watching her favourite anime show.
"She's freaking 20 years old now, still hasn't changed." she uttered softly, can't help and feel a little overwhelmed, of how precious her daughter.
------------------------------
Thanks, Keroro for a great show. Seohyun smiled to herself happily after the show ended. She was about to turned the television off when she refused to, as the TV screen is showing a flash report. Through the text on the screen, she understands the news was all about.
News Update: Im Yoona, the only daughter of Im Family arrived tonight at 10. She's said to go directly to her mother's funeral.
Seohyun furrows her eyebrows, watching this girl on the television, walking casually. Flashes of lights from cameras can be seen through her, but she didn't even flinch. The doe-eyed is rather walking so fast with her eyes not blinking.
So she's the daughter. She looks tired and... sad? Seohyun can't really describe the girl's face. But she believes, she's really that worn out. If she's on her shoe, she wouldn't even dare to show herself in front of the camera. Probably, she would avoid getting seen by the people's eyes.
At the middle of the report, Seohyun didn't expect it when the screen went off and she can't think of anything else anymore when the report ended right away. The next thing she saw, a series of commercials.
What happened? Totally oblivious, she asked in her mind, to no one in particular.
Brushing it off, Seohyun resume and close the television. She took her diary and her empty glass of milk, and proceeds to the kitchen.
