Finding the Truth

“Miss?”

I know that call. It was a call that my dad had already arrived and I need to greet him. Checking myself for the last time, I beams and check the time; 3pm. Aigoo… my flight will be in 5pm.

“I’ll be there in a minute.” I replied and walked out with the camera in my shoulder.

But before I could enjoy my trip, I should greet this strict father of mine first. He came all the way from Australia just to discuss with me for  his plans for the future of his company. Can I ditch this meeting? I wanted to but his bodyguards were around.

Walking in to the living room, I saw HIM. My dad, crossing his legs with an eyebrow rising. I gulp when I saw him like that. I know I could not be careless with this old man. But I got to say, his actually giving me money even for I don’t want it. He keeps on persisting it no matter what. So like a good daughter, I only grab what he hands to me. Perfect right?

“What’s up with you again?” He asked me, when I was about to sit across him.

Clearing my throat, I looked up with determined. “Travelling.” I said simply, looking at him straightly.

“Seohyun, it’s not what I wanted to hear from you.” He coldly said.

I could feel his boiling anger again, but who am I to be distracted? He’s just an old man that doesn’t know about everything. He only knows his Agency.

“Then what do you want to hear?” I asked as a respond.

“What is this?” He throws a news article in the coffee table between us.

Seo Joohyun, the top film maker of NET Agency is quitting.

NET Agency is basically an entertainment company that holds a lot of famous actors and actresses. Me? I’m not one of them, I’m just simply a film maker. With my dad as my banker for everything I do.

“You are quitting? Didn’t I tell you that-“

“Your agency is not fun at all.” I simply said, slapping it to him.

“What? Are you kidding me? for 5 straight years, you won every movies you made, you even go the-“

“I told you. It’s not fun anymore.” I said firmly and stood straight in front of him. He was left stunned with my words. I know I’m not being the kindest daughter but everything about this person in front of me was all lies. And that’s the mission for me to find out.

Walking out the house, I took a deep breath and adjusted my collar. I’m so going to miss this place. The place that I was born will be only a memory. I hate to do this, but I have to. Leaving is the only thing I could do to know the truth.

“You got all you wanted?”

I adjusted my earpiece and check on my time.

“That’s great then. I’ll be there in a minute.” I mutter and step in to my white Honda car.

As I put on my eyeglass, I stared above and completely blinded by the sunrays that hits the building. I know I wanted to get use to this but I think this will be quite hard for me. For years, I secretly trained myself as an agent of some unknown company, and now that I was in? I don’t think I can back out. It’s now or never. Being film makers wasn’t an easy job but being an agent was more difficult. Who would’ve thought that a young film maker quits becoming an agent? Ridiculous.

“You’re all ready.” A familiar voice sent chill sensation on my spine as I turned around.

“Sunbae.” I greeted with a slight bow.

“How many times I told you to just call me with my name? huh?” she scoffed, leading me to the entrance of this secret Agency.

Kwon Yuri is my trainer over my 2 years of training. Seriously, she’s tough when it comes to works but when we were in other place; she’s just like a normal person that you could lean with your problems. She’s badass when it comes to girls. She once seduces me but she always fails herself. Knowing exactly, that my heart only belongs to a certain doe-eyed beauty.

“Sunbae, You know I can’t do what you want me to do.” I replied with glee.

She only chuckles and ruffle my hair before we got in to a more isolates room. The room was a bit large and I can only see white and blue paints around. We were greeted with our co-agents and directors until we lastly greeted  the master of all these crazy things happening in this room, Im Kangta.

“Welcome aboard.” He greeted me with a smile along with a warm embrace.

“Thank You, Uncle.” I said in respond.

After the meeting, I was lead to my own office. I could feel the warm welcome from my co-agents with all these flowers in my desk. Just some presents to welcome me.

“Here I am. Finding the truth.”

Like what I’ve planned, I wanted to find the truth behind my father’s work. I’ve been suspecting my father for running an illegal company, except of his own agency which I think covers his real deal. I couldn’t be careless anymore. It should be…

“Having a good time here?” suddenly Yuri distracted me, catching my attention fully as l look up to him.

“Director Im wants to talk you, regarding your mission.” She added.

I look behind her to see Director Im pacing back and forth on his office.

“Let’s go?” Yuri announced leading me to exit my own office. I didn’t say anymore word and just followed her.
