Why do I love you?

[Seoul Hospital]

Jessica is in her leather chair, playing with her pen constantly, as her mind is not in the place where she works. Rather, it's for someone she had with for an hour, earlier. Leaning back to her seat, a sigh escape through her nose, as her eyes looked up to the ceiling. Hand is still playing with the pen, whilst, mind shifted to President Im and her legal wife, Victoria. This time, her mind is for them, as she flashes back to particular moments she can't ever forget.

Flashback...

"For Christ sake where are you? Victoria's water, it's already broken!" Jessica's voice, echoed through the hallway of the Hospital, as she is holding up her phone on her right, while her left is helping the nurses and one assistant Doctor by pushing the hospital bed that carries Victoria.

"Ahhh!!!" The young mother's scream in pain is also joining the voice from the blonde.

"What?! Yah! President Im! You don't want to see your daughter?! This-" Jessica cursed inside her mind after she heard the call ended, rather. "He's really not going." Shrugging the thought of President Im, she turned to Victoria and to the other nurses, pushing all the way to the Delivery Room.

It was tough, yet, Jessica was relieved when she saw and hears the baby cries. Her sweats are all over, as her eyes are sparkling, bringing the new born baby to her mother's arms. 

Victoria is crying, happily, as she caresses the tiny hands of her daughter. Her first daughter.

"Have you thought of any names yet?" asked Jessica, softly to her friend, through her sign language as well. Victoria nodded; despite from the tears she's creating. Jessica then took a note and a pen from the nurse and asks her to put the name on it.

Trembling, in happiness, Victoria wrote... Y o o n a.

"Oh, what a lovely name, Victoria." Jessica softly uttered.

'It's my late grandmother's name, Jess. Have you forgotten?'

Jessica chuckles softly. "You know I have a little memory with your family background best friend."

Victoria giggles, and turned her attention back to baby Yoona. 'Omo. She already smiled.' She couldn't help and cringe at how cute her baby girl is. The latter is even holding her point finger, which made it even flattering for her. It means, her baby girl knows her mother already.

Jessica on the other hand, watch quietly, can't also believe that her best friend is finally a mother. She felt so warmed inside, knowing that her best friend is happy with the addition of Yoona to her life.

But for some instance, learning that Jonghyun Im, or also known as, President Im, is not in his wife's side, she barely could feel happy completely. He promised to be in Victoria's side, yet, where is He? Work? 

For all the day you want to work overtime? Tonight? What a good father you are, Jonghyun. Jessica said at the back of her head, still watching Victoria, enjoying the touch of her daughter.

"Are you serious?"

'Jessica. It's not like that! My husband, I don't know what's with him but he wanted to bring Yoona with him, so he won't be like me. And I have thought of it too. I think it's the best for her. Plus, You were the one who told me that there's a tendency that Yoona will-"

"I am not sure with my theory Victoria. Yes, I've seen some cases like this... but no, we won't let that happen. Victoria, accept my proposal of a surgery, and Yoona will be normal."

Jessica turned to the right side, as soon as she heard the cry of Yoona. "Yoona is already up." she told Victoria.

But before Victoria could even react to her friend, Jessica got startled by the sudden loud bang of the door behind her. Victoria and her, turned to the door, only to frown, as Jonghyun and two men dashes inside, yet, only to pass at them.  

'Yah! What are you doing to my daughter?' Victoria screams in her mind, rushing forward to stop her husband from getting her daughter. But failed, when her husband pushed her and she hit the wall. She passed out eventually.

Jessica also help, but two men got her arms, preventing her from moving forward. That gives as an opening from Jonghyun and hastily left the mansion without turning back anymore.

"Yah! Bring Yoona back, here!!!" Jessica screams on top of her lungs. Unfortunately, it was no use. She was thrown on the side of her best friend. Which she reach for her best friend and pat her cheeks all over, in attempt to wake her up. But despite that, she receive no response. She hurriedly check for her pulse, and was relieved that she only fainted.

Jessica has been calling Jonghyun's number for the upteenth time. But to no avail. She almost want to throw her phone, if it wasn't for Taeyeon who immediately got her wrist.

"The teddy bear case, I bought for this, Jess. You don't want to break it, right?" A little joke, but Taeyeon is really serious.

Jessica pulled her hand off of Taeyeon's grasp and lifelessly sat down at the edge of Victoria's bed. She turned to their best friend's sleeping face, can't help and feel so sorry. 

"I don't want her to send her daughter to the States, Taeyeon." Jessica's voice crack.

Sitting next to her girlfriend, Taeyeon wrapped her arms around the blonde's arms. 

"That Jonghyun. He better treat his daughter well." added Jessica, letting her tears drops in the corner of her eyes. Taeyeon tightens her hug, feeling like Jessica is need with her warmth. Jessica hold Taeyeon's hand, as she sobs, quitely in front of their friend. She suddenly heard her phone ringing, she wiped her tears and immediately opened it up and answered the phone call. Taeyeon instantly released her.

[How's Victoria?]

"Where's Yoona?" Jessica's voice came out so husky. "Where's Victoria's daughter?"

Taeyeon had to left the room to get some water for her girlfriend.

[Our daughter, you mean? She's in good hands, of course. But I am asking for my wife's condition. How is she?]

Jessica scoffed, sarcastically. "After you've done? You are just asking how is she? Why don't you pay her a visit so you could see it in your own eyes, what you've done to her."

[She's Okay, right? There's no need. Besides that, I wanna ask some favor. Please tell her that I'm bringing our daughter to the states. If she wanted to see her for the last time, our flight is 10am. Send my regards to my wife.]

Taeyeon went back with a glass of water, handing it to the blonde right away.

"Jonhyun why? why are you doing this to her?" Jessica couldn't understand, and was confuse at Jonghyun's decisions. She thought the latter has a lot of future for their only daughter, yet, here he was, sending her rather away from her true home. From Victoria, the mother of the child.

[Don't worry, I'm still going back and forth for my wife. Like I've told you, I have lots of plans for our daughter. And that's for me to tell Victoria, not to her friends.]

"Is that-" Jessica stopped midway after hearing the call just ended that instantly. She sighed deeply and took series of gulps of water.

"What did he told you?"

Jessica wipe her lips, before turning her attention to Taeyeon. "He's really sending his daughter away from her mother. I seriously don't understand why he is doing this to her wife and Yoona." she hissed, frustratingly.

"Do you think, this also have to deal with his cheating?"

"I don't know. Better not be! Or you know what will Victoria do!" Jessica just let out another firm words before she shifted her gazes to Victoria. Who is now opening her eyes, and greeted them with a weak smile. Instinctively, Jessica check on her friend, and ask her questions through her sign languages. "How do you feel right now? Are you feeling dizzy? hungry? do you want us to cook for you? or what? Tell us."

Victoria shook her head. 'I'm Okay, best friend. I would like some favor, only.'

Taeyeon and Jessica's eyes meet, then back to their friend again.

"What is... it?" It was Taeyeon who ask Victoria.

Victoria closes her eyes and breathed in and out smoothly, then, open her eyes, staring back and forth to Taeyeon and Jessica. 'Can you help me with U-Na Mall? I want to make it big and give it to Yoona once she's in her legal age.'

"What's your... plan, Victoria?"

"No. I am not going to help you with this. Let's get you a surgery first, Victoria!" Jessica strongly shows her disagreement. "This won't help you! I thought you already agreed?"

However, Victoria shook her head. 'I'm not getting any surgery. I can't lose with my husband. I know his plans.'

"Plans? what plans?"

'He wanted to steal U-Na Mall. But he couldn't do that first because I'm still alive. To make sure He won't be getting it, I am planning to make it big and once it is, I'll hire a lawyer and make my last will testament. And I'm giving it all to my daughter.'

"Oh come on." Jessica rolled her eyes, doesn't like the idea.

Taeyeon sighed at Jessica's against to their friend's plans.

End of Flashback...

Jessica's thoughts were interrupted when she heard a knock in the door. "The door is open, Come in." she reacted, out loud. The door opened, and her secretary make her way inside, holding up a bouquet of flowers for her.

"Someone handed this at my desk, Doctor Jung." Her secretary said, softly.

"Who?"

"I don't know her name, but she had gone already here. I think earlier? With those youngsters?"

Jessica smiled, and accepted the flowers. "Thanks. You can go now." she ordered. Her secretary complied, and left. This took her chance and smell the flowers. Yet, she saw a note inside. She took it and a note says,

Even though we decided to break up because of different decisions, my heart won't ever change.

Will I have a 2nd chance?

Jessica's heart just aches, instantly, as she remembers that very last minutes of Victoria. Taeyeon wasn't there, as they were already like a stranger. It hurts, and truly, she wanted to scream out of regrets that she and Taeyeon didn't had no chance to save their friend from Jonghyun's biggest sin . 

Setting aside the flowers, Jessica couldn't take it any longer and scream. "Yah!!!! JONGHYUN-AH!!! I WANNA KILL YOU!!!"

[Sunshine Store]

Yoona is panting, arriving in the place she knew would take her to her lover. Unfortunately, she arrived empty. Sunny isn't even in the place. Yet, she saw scattered packs of jelly candies in the floor, as well as one stand, collapsed in the floor. Having a bad feeling raging in her heart, Yoona immediately went out. But she stopped, and thought about her cousin, Nana. She took her phone out, and was about to call her when her phone shows another unknown text,

from 65*****

You arrive so late, so I took the opportunity. I'm sorry, she's with me.

But the great news is, I'm not that bad to give you a chance to save her.

Deal?

Okay. So here's the thing.

At 6pm, tonight. I wanna see you at the back of Yonsie University. You know that abandon Laboratory building? Yes, there.

However, bring a case of 20 million dollars.

You are rich so that's basically so cheap for you.

I'll be waiting ^_~

"Sh*t!" Yoon unconciously cursed. But she has no more time, taking a glance of her watch that reads 4:45pm. She immediately called Nana and, "Cousin! Can you help me widthraw money tonight?" ask her hurriedly about her trouble.

[How much?]

"20 million dolloars, approximilately 200 million won." Yoona heard Nana gasped.

[That much? Yah! for what reason?]

Yoona groaned. "Seohyun, Taecyeon kidnapped her. I can't just sit around here and wait for another hour knowing she's not safe. Help me cousin!!!"

This time, Yoona heard broken glasses in the background and Nana's scream.

"Yah! I don't have time! He is expecting me to come at 6pm later! Hurry and ask my lawyer about this!" she yelled out, not minding what was happening to her best friend/cousin.

[Okay, okay. I'm calling him now. Wait for a while. I'll call you back.]

"See me at Sunshine store. I'll be waiting here. Bye." Yoona keeps on walking back and forth, fingers running through the silky hair, couldn't contain her feelings inside. She's scared, totally scared of what will happen if she can't able to go. At the same time, she's also concerned of Seohyun's condition at the moment. "Oh God, why is this happening. Please let her be safe... “Couldn’t help it, she shed a single tear out of worries and fear. She let herself in, back to her car and there, she keeps on glancing to her watch, waiting for Nana's call again. 

Meanwhile, in an abandon Laboratory building, a girl can't stop her tears from flowing without sobbing. Her two hands are being tied from behind, while she's sitting in a wooden chair. Aside from this, she can feel a slight pain in her right cheek. It's from the cut she got from the guy, who slapped her when she struggle to let go of their grasp. Her eyes are not creating tears, but also staring so sorry to Sunny, who is apparently in front of her, the same with her.

All that she could wish, her parents safety, Yuri's safety and Yoona's--knowing that the guy has probably knew about her. She would rather take the pain, other than seeing her love

[Kwon's Residence]

Yuri is not sure if she's going to be sad or concerned, after learning that Seohyun hasn't come back home. Sad, because Seohyun is now spending time with Yoona, or concern that it's Yoona... the Im Yoona she is with, who is so rich and influential to the Society. She put aside her phone and cupped her face, as she breathed in and out smoothly, while thinking about the possible 'date' the two is doing. She sighed, and shifted her eyes to the picture from of Seohyun and her, in the side.

"I should have confessed early, right? That way, I would have seen myself right now, always by your side, happy and contented. However, it seems that people's heart really change, weirdly. Friend zone, indeed. But I promise, I won't be leaving your side. All my life, it’s you that I always dream of to be with, forever. That's enough for me. Hope Yoona would take care of you as much as I do to you." She let out a tired sigh, before getting up and flopped her heavy and tired body in a comfy bed. Eyes are in the ceiling, as mind is still running about her and her friendship with the little angel of her life. Thus, she is happy with her decision. She had a smile, creeping across her face, remembering all the good times she also had with her.

Yuri! Dinner is up!

Her thoughts were soon had interrupted, upon hearing her mother's voice. "Coming right there!" replied her, as she jumps off of the bed and rushes outside, right away.

At exactly 5:45pm, Yoona and Nana arrived at the said building Taecyeon said on the text message. The two didn't hesitate and immediately entered. However, they were greeted by a voice, coming from a speaker above, the ceiling. They also noticed a camera is being installed, which means, Taecyeon can see them in the first floor of the building. 

You. Did I said bring a monkey?

"Yah! I'm not a monkey!" Nana just literally yelled out, complaining.

"She's my cousin. And besides, I got what you want here! Idiot!" Yoona also added, in a yelling way as well. She's carrying a suitcase, containing the cash Taecyeon had asked her. "

Oh. Sorry about that. Okay, you guys can freely take the stairs. Your love of your life is in 15th floor. Wait for further instructions once you two got there. Good luck! Hahaha!

Taecyeon's voice echoed through the first floor, which made Yoona and Nana furiously make their way to the stairs. They're in a fast walking, pace, doesn't want to slow down, or else, they won't like what would happen to Seohyun there.

"Yoona, are you sure Seohyun is really here?" Nana, is somehow having 2nd thoughts. She knew Taecyeon is great at playing games.

"Taecyeon, I honestly.... hurt him the other day Nana.... So I....guess, this is her.... way to get revenge." Yoona breathlessly answered, keeping her eyes keep close to the steps, and mind is about saving her girlfriend.
