01 | When a player Sleeps

On Air

Yoona stopped half way after learning that the studio is still on air. She check on her time and learned that there are still 15 minutes left before it ends. Instead of barging in, she decided to have a stroll around the building. It's not the company she's working but ever since 2 years ago, she has been popular among her best friend's co-worker and colleagues. Well, they share the same colleague, so she's not new to them.

While strolling around, she suddenly stopped and entered a certain room.

"Oh, I haven't been here." she realized, it was a room for Seohyun's listeners, where they can see her through a wide screen. They're her avid listeners, base on their led banners and some were even holding cameras. Paper bags - a possible gift for her.

"Is this new?" she asked to one of the people inside. 

"Hmm?" But instead of one person only, all of them turned to her side when she walked in. And the next thing she knew, she was being crowded. Flashes of lights and fans are asking her for signature. She almost wanted to run, or even hide, but she has no more time. Rather, she took this opportunity and grant their wish. They're not so bad unlike her crazy fangirls - who always love to kiss her on the cheeks or even take a picture with them. Seohyun's fans are calm and patience.

"Thank you." she bowed a little and smiled to them sweetly before she finally left the room. It was good fifteen minutes. Which means, the show has ended? Yoona immediately rushes back to the studio and find that the light is already off. She took this chance and walked in. As usual, she was greeted by staffs, welcoming her warm smiles, and some bear hugs here and there, until she saw her there, Seohyun. Apparently, the girl is still inside, fixing the things on the table. Yoona cleared so loud so she could catch her attention. She didn't failed, as the young dj looked back and smiled at her.

"Did you just arrive?"

"Um, 30 minutes ago." Yoona lied, approaching the other girl and give her a warm bear hug before pulling back. "Shall we?"

"I'll fix this first."

"I think the staff can continue that. Come on, I'm hungry." Yoona was about to drag her best friend out with her, but the latter struggle and let go. She turned and pouted, cutely.

"I'll finish this first then we can go, Okay? Aigoo, this girl." Seohyun giggle, patting Yoona's shoulders lightly before she resume on fixing the things on the table, filled with random things such as; headphone, papers, some pen, and etc.

The doe-eyed girl couldn't argue back, pulling a chair from behind and sat down. A staff entered and gestures her to stand up for a selfie. This never failed her to smile. Consequently, standing up again and pose for the camera with her v signs. It was three shots of poses. Then, she move behind Seohyun, showing a heart shape through her fingers, she poses and it was captured.

"Seohyun-ssi... why don't you join Yoona here." The female staff said.

Seohyun put the last headphone to its orginal place in their round table before she excitedly poses with the doe-eyed. Both poses so cutely with their v signs. Then for another pose, Yoona took her by her waist and smile to the camera together with her.

"Thank you." Both girls bowed in respect as the staff also bowed and left. Folllowing, Yoona carried Seohyun's bag and left with the young girl. 

Upon leaving the studio, they're greeted by fans, still waiting. Specially to those who want to hand their gifts for Seohyun. The young dj's manager took it all as she and the doe-eyed only waves and smile so sweetly to them while walking out the building. Not a moment after, they finally arrived safe and sound, in Yoona's new car, that never missed Seohyun's observation.

"When did you get this car?" asked Seohyun, as she buckle her seat belt together with her driver. The last car she know, it was a fortuner. It seems like her best friend change her car. "How much is this?"

"Isn't it good?"

"How much?" Seohyun still insist. She knows being a Director really earns a lot. But as her closest friend, she wanted to make sure that it doesn't cost a lot. "Don't you dare say it cost a million dollars again." 

Yoona puffs. "A little." As then, she drive off.

"Geez. I knew it. Where's your fortuner now?!"

"I've sell it. But Boss, It's not like I would be hungry because of this. You know how I earn." Yoona grinned, sheepishly. Seohyun's serious stare on her just made her sigh again. "I promise, this is the last car. Okay?" she reached for her hand and give it a gentle squeeze. The latter gives her hand a slight squeeze back, before she release it.

"Yes, she smiled again. Now let me tell you something more relevant?"

"What?" Seohyun rolled her eyes, crossing her arms in the process. She looked outside, rather than to the girl next to her. 

"I'm spending the night in your penthouse."

"Ne? Why?" Seohyun abruptly turned and exclaimed. "I thought you have another schedule tomorrow? Your film is not yet finish, right?"

"Gosh! Will you relax. It's winter that's why I'm here. The filming will resume after this winter break... so yeah... I'm here." 

"Oh, that sounds good."

"But you don't sound good."

"I was just a little surprise." Seohyun giggle quietly.

"No. Not that. Did you catch a cold?" Yoona asked, base on the tone of voice the other girl is possessing. It's a little deep for her. 

Seohyun contemplated to answer. She slowly look back at Yoona and the latter glance at her. She shook her head instead.

"Liar. Your voice tells it all, Boss. Have you taken anything?"

"Fine. Earlier, I did." Seohyun let out a huge yawn and leaned on her seat. "It's a little only. This is no more tomorrow... or in the coming days. How 'bout your film? Is it Okay?"

"It's doing smoothly. We only have 2 filming schedules and it's finish."

"Who are the actors again?"

"Suzy and Park Jisung. Wait, haven't I mentioned this?" Yoona feels like dejavu. "I did, right? And I've been filming with her ever since last month." she chuckled, couldn't believe that Seohyun still ask it.

Seohyun nodded in all honesty. "I just wanna... confirm, though. So it's really her?" she mumble her last word, knowing it all that the girl had some crush on her best friend. She's been the talk recently because of Suzy's confession over a broadcast.

"Okay if you are asking if what's going on every shooting, yes... she's so professional. She's pretty good at acting and I have no regrets the producers have choose her."

"I'm not asking though. I just wanna confirm."

"You're worried?"

"Why would I? I am not."

"You sound so weird. So I think you are." Yoona smiled briefly.

"Okay I am." Seohyun turned to Yoona, admitting it seriously. "I know you're this... you know... fond of girls... But... ever since she confessed to the public she likes you, I feel like every variety shows she's guesting - they'll talk about you. They keep on teasing her about her relationship with you, as a director and her as an artist. It just how these broadcasts are bringing your name so the show will have good ratings. I don't think that's fair, right?"

Yoona finally pulled the car over. But not yet in Seohyun's house. She stop the car in front of a convenient store, then unbuckle her seat belt, stepping out from the car right away. Seohyun was agape. She thought the doe-eyed would react to her worry, but the latter left instead. She puffs in annoyance, as she looked outside, trying to see Yoona inside the convenient store.

"Damn. I wonder what is she buying? Omo. I almost forgot. She's spending the night in my place. Aish!!!" she hastily shook her head, feeling her heart beating that nervously again. "Well, it's not new." she sighed. Though she's use to it, she can't still deny the fact that her heart especially beats for the doe-eyed. Her best friend. Thus, she couldn't confess. She has this pout in her face, thinking of that broadcast again, where Suzy was teased about her moment she had with the famous young director. It's been a hot issue since then, and every time she can hear about it, it made her blood boil. But of course, she always need to keep it in.

Suddenly, she heard her phone beeps. She hastily fish it out and couldn't help but smile to her wallpaper, which is Yoona. Thus, she proceeds on opening the message.

from Nips:

| Tea or Juice? What kind of drink? I was thinking of cooking us for dinner.|

She took a glance outside, only to find Yoona is waving her hand, while holding up her phone in the air. She giggles and response right away.

To Nips:

| What kind of dinner? I mean, dish - you are cooking? |

from Nips:

| Just some tuna pasta with tomato sauce and shrimp pasta. |

Seohyun bit her bottom lip, as she replied;

to Nips:

| Oh, sounds tasty. No need to buy some drinks. I still have my tea and juice in my refrigerator.

Can you buy us oil instead? I think I've run out of it. ^^ |

from Nips:

| Okay, Boss. ^_^ |

With that, she turned her attention back outside. In which, she can see the doe-eyed, busy again inside. She sighed and put her back leaning to her seat again. While waiting, she decided to kill her time through browsing the pictures she got earlier from her show. She end up browsing her recent pics with Yoona again, though. Which never failed her smile to creep across her face again. A soft sigh once again was heard from her, upon realizing that it has been a while since she and Yoona become friends. And throughout, she must say their friendship has become stronger now. And as time passes, the deeper she has fall for her. It must be idiotic but she's contented with their relationship.

Receiving another message, she has another wide smile in her face.

from Nips:

| There are a lot of potato chips, Boss. I'm so tempted to grab these all. Can I? |

She never hesitated and replied.

to Nips:

| As long as you are sharing it with me ;p |

from Nips:

| Of course. ^^

By the way, I'm grabbing some coke zero and pancakes too. It's two days of stay, honestly. Hihi|

"Tsk,tsk. I knew it." Seohyun muttered.

to Nips:

| You should buy some more food. My refrigerator is only good for one ;p |

from Nips:

| Hehe, not like I'm going to eat always yo. Just a relax time before my work again. 

You're seriously the baddest friend I've met. I should start on regretting this. |

to Nips:

| Shut up. |

Seohyun didn't mind of getting back any response, and put her phone back to her pocket instead. In a matter of seconds, Yoona went back already, wearing the brightest smile in her face. She sent her a glare, but the other girl only stuck her tongue out and drive off again.

"I'm the baddest?"<
