The Letter

"I thought in just a nearby restaurant?" 

Yoona asked, wondering as to why they instead went to a mall and entered a restaurant. She took her spot, across the eye-smiled girl, absolutely puzzled. "It's not like we are going to spend so much time, here. Or were... you planning?"

"Hmm, I think I should say, I need some company first, before I off to the Airport." Tiffany replied, checking on some food menu. 

"Airport? What?! You are flying back, this early?" Yoona is surprised.

"Why? You will not miss me?"

"Um, of course! Cos I think-"

"It's only a week, you know that." Tiffany paid her attention back to the menu.

"Um.. yeah~ I know that. But I didn't expect to be this early. I thought you like to stay longer?"

"This. This. This and this. Two servings. Um, I would like some cold water as well. Thanks!" Tiffany however, returned her attention to the waiter waiting in vain on the side. The guy noted all her order, before leaving the place. That then, Tiffany returned her attention back to the doe-eyed girl. "Staying longer isn't in my vocabulary. I still have unfinished business to do. Anyhow, I can still contact my cousin through networking, right?"

"Oh well." Yoona raises her two shoulders.

"So what happened?" Out of the blue, Tiffany grinned, poking to Yoona's hand over the top of the table.

"Happened? Did something happen?" Yoona act so innocent, honestly doesn't have any idea. The way Tiffany stares at her, as if she knows something she does too?

"Yah! I heard all of it. You can't deny what I've heard Yoona!" 

"You mean... the event earlier?" Yoona finally gets it.

"Definitely Yes! So why did you guys fight? I think my appearance earlier really worsens it? I saw Seohyun's burning eyes on me. She really doesn't like me." Tiffany was taken aback earlier. She can’t get over on it.

Yoona shakes her head, saying, "It's nothing. That was only a minor problem."

"Minor? Really? But why did she shout? It really scares me, did you know that?"

Scratching the back of her neck, Yoona thought for a moment on how to say it. She knows if she’s going to share It, this cousin of hers will not hesitate to knock on her head. “Shall we just talk about your, leave? Instead?” so she avoided, awkwardly smiling to her cousin. 

“Don’t change the topic Miss Im. I heard it all and I want to know it. Like RIGHT NOW!” Tiffany suddenly outburst, causing for costumers to look at her.

Yoona quickly hides herself through a menu, soon the eyes were on her too. “F-fine! Just can you relax first?!”

Tiffany giggles at her reaction. She snapped the menu away from her cousin’s face and almost hit her head if it wasn’t for Yoona’s pouting face. She composes herself and demands her to start the conversation.

Yoona however did a lot of sigh first, before opening .

Though hesitant to share, she did so. “Um, it’s because of last night.” She started. Tiffany simply nodded.

Taking another heavy deep breath, Yoona looked away and continued. “It was my final competition in my photography contest. I did all my best, presenting and defending my piece through the photos I took from my … girlfriend. It was so great. A lot of judges applauded about it, but as the winners has been declared… I wasn’t expecting. I did not win. I really made me down, especially that Seohyun never showed herself, she didn’t return all my text messages as well.”

“In short, you hate her for neglecting it? Or… you hate it because you didn’t won?” Tiffany ask to confirmss.

“Hmm… both.” Yoona pouted sadly. She stares back at Tiffany, showing her disappointments. “It hurts me. Really a LOT.”

“I see.” Tiffany shrugs though. “But, isn’t it a small thing, Yoona?”

“What small thing? It matters to me, cuz!” Yoona defended herself, strongly.

“Chincha?” Tiffany chuckles. “Why does my boyfriend doesn’t care even if I don’t come to any important events? I think you are just making it a big deal!”

Yoona sure enough her cousin doesn’t know about the word ‘worries’, and care. Coz she certainly knows it. “I care for my girlfriend so much, that it worries me a lot, cuz! And it really pisses me off that she never cares for what I’ve been doing!”

“Whoa! Whoa! There! I do care for my boyfriend too. It’s just that… he understands and respect my work well. Do you even know about that? And how do confident are you that she never cares with how much love she’s getting from you?”

Yoona was out of words, and looked away.

Tiffany shake her head, out of disbelieve. She knew it. Yoona has no experience much in dating yet. “If I’m not mistaken Seohyun didn’t make it because of her work, did she?”

“Yes. It’s because of the work. But it’s not an exception! She should text me back if she cares for me as well.”Yoona mutters bitterly.

“Oh come on Yoona. I thought you understood her work? I think you only lack of respecting her time. You also lack of respecting how her work works. Doesn’t you know being an actress is not as easy? They need to spend so much time to finish one filming episode. You should’ve also reminded yourself that it’s not all the time she will be there for you. Guess, you forgot about these things?” Tiffany said, making some sense to Yoona’s head.

Yoona was speechless. Does she need to remind herself? Oh well, she sure enough that she forgot to think on the other side. She’s more focus on her competition and the thought of spending time with her girlfriend last night.

“Yoona, do you hear me?” Tiffany nudges her, but she could only stare at her cousin, blinking like there’s no tomorrow.

“Yah! Yoona!”

Yoona pouted after some second of thinking about it. “So… it was not good? That I act so cold?”

“Well, you are just showing what was your reaction when she fails you. It was normal, Yoona. For a girlfriend like you. Not to mention, your first love, I must say. However, you don’t need to make it so big. One night is enough. But as I can see earlier, you didn’t seem to talk to her yet?”

Yoona nods in response. “Aigoo, so it was really a nonsense to take this for a long time?”

“You bet? You hurt her more, right now.”

“Umm… but she hurt me too!” Yoona groans.

“Oh! come on Yoona! I told you just earlier! You don’t need to make this big! You’re just too dramatic, aren’t you?”

“I am not.” Yoona mutters.

“Ugh! I think you’re much better as an actress than to be a photographer.” Tiffany smiled, eager to knock Yoona’s head, who simply put a small smile to her. “There you go, you smiled already. You should always carry that. You’re just too negative sometimes, aren’t we?”

“Hehe… I think I  just miss something. That’s it, I think I’m also immature?”

“You thought so?” Tiffany giggles, amuse.

“Yeah, I guess?” Yoona innocently gueses.

“Um, excuse me. Are you guys finish?” Suddenly, they were being interrupted from a certain waiter in the side, holding their order endlessly.

After the lunch they had, both girls went for a window shopping. Tiffany herself suggested it, hence she has one hour left before she could be off. Yoona on the other hand, seemed to be quite with their walks. She is either not listening to Tiffany. She only walks with her, wherever the latter go. Until one particular place, she snapped from reality.

“What? You are not going inside, Cuz!” she complained, upon arriving in front of an arcade room. She knows, her cousin will just tell her something she would like.

Tiffany grins. “Remember? The last time, back when we were still kids? We always go here because of one bet. And right now, I want to do it.”

“No way!!!” Yoona exclaimed. She attempted to walk away, but to her dismay, she was stopped from Tiffany’s hold on her wrist, smirking at her.

“You’re not going anywhere.”

Yoona trembles. She is always not good of games, how can she win? “But, cuz… “ she begs, shaking Tiffany’s arm.

But Tiffany can’t be defeated. “So here it goes. If you win, I’ll eat three exotic foods out there.” Tiffany pointed behind. A nearby restaurant called… ‘Exotics’ is behind.

Yoona attempted to walk away or run away again, but as usual, Tiffany is quick to even hold her back. She could simply whine in compliance. “Please!!! Cuz!!! I don’t want to do this!!!”

Tiffany chuckles. Always know her. She doesn’t care, and proceeds. “And if I won, you’ll make my wish.” She grins, right after.

Yoona dropped her shoulders, trying to comprehend her situation, but no, she has nothing to say anymore and followed with a nod. “Fine. What kind of a wish is that?”

“Secret! You’ll know later, come on!” Tiffany quickly drag her cousin inside, who still can’t stop from complaining.

“Help me!!! Somebody help me with this girl!!!” Yoona literally scream in search for help. But the people inside only stares at her, amused. Most especially that some are recognizing her.

In a short while, Yoona did know it well. She failed to win the virtual car racing game.

“So what is it?” So she can simply cross her arms, waiting for her cousin to tell her one wish? That she seriously doesn’t want to do. Or would she?

“Let’s buy something first!” Tiffany however, dragged her once again. This time, in a jewelry shop.

“Eh? What are we doing here?” Yoona surely doesn’t like the place. She looks around, quite worried that some people might see her with this girl in one jewelry shop.

Tiffany noticed her actions, but didn’t care at all. She stopped them in one particular glass box, and immediately searches for any necklace she might like inside.

 Yoona widened her eyes upon realizing it. “Are you telling me I’m going to buy you a necklace? Yah! cuz! I haven’t even gave my girlfriend a necklace! I—“

“Shut up Yoona! I can’t find a good one!”

Yoona hissed, wanted to go out actually at the moment, but Tiffany had already stopped her from holding her wrist, like she is being captured by a policewoman. It was tight, and she would wince a little. The least she can do is to wait. Yeah, wait until her purse will be empty with the amount of the necklace, she actually has no intention to buy for her cousin.

“You’re not yet done?” Yoona pouted, keeps on glancing to her watch.

“I haven’t. Let’s look around.” Tiffany said, as she turned to her left, still holding her cousin. Yoona obeyed, staying by her side.

“Cuz, it’s already an hour since we left my studio.” Yoona reminded, as if the girl doesn’t know.

“I know. But wait… for a moment.” Tiffany mutters, still searching. Even if all the necklaces look the same in her eyes.

“I think you need to choose now.”

“Yay! Here! I would like this, MISS!” Tiffany exclaimed, after finding the best one. It’s a star necklace she has found.

Yoona raises her eyebrows. “I thought you like cross necklaces?”

“It’s not for me Yo!” said Tiffany, as she followed the sales lady at the counter. She had let go of her cousin’s wrist, already.

“So I’m not buying it for you?” And it really brightens Yoona, following her cousin behind.

“Yes, dear. But my wish still hasn’t grant.” The eye-smiled girl still doesn’t want to leave the country without her cousin making her request. Or rather, a demand.

Yoona shut upon hearing the wish again. She silently steps two away from her cousin, but only to be stopped for the nth time. “Hehe, I’m not really going anywhere, cuz.” She reasoned, sheepishly.

“Good. Wait there.” Tiffany strongly demanded. She patted Yoona’s shoulder, amused to the deer’s pouting face.

After paying the necklace, both girls went outside. They sat down on a bench in a nearby park outside the mall. With people passing by, Yoona still can’t be careless and literally, she covered her face every time someone would recognize her. To Tiffany, it was amusing. But she understands it well. Yoona is becoming so popular with her being the girlfriend of a famous celebrity in South Korea. It amazes her somehow, because, Yoona never complains. She never complains about what she is getting right now. It’s like, her cousin is already used, after some time. Moreover, it definitely changes the life of this young photographer. She hopes, would be better for her.

“So what? I’ve been thinking so much here, over your wish!” Yoona though impatient sometimes, which made her doubts if it really build Yoona’s character.

But as she looks at it, it never did. Tiffany sighed, grabbing Yoona’s two hands to move closer. Yoona look at her, raising her eyebrows.

“Waeyo?”

Tiffany never said anything. She opens the box of necklace, and place it around Yoona’s neck instead.

“You’re giving this to me?” Yoona was surprised, earning Tiffany’s giggle.

“Yup. And before I should say this, I want you to give that to your girlfriend. But not yet, own it for a while only. Give the necklace once she is over with what have you done, my deer.” Tiffany sweetly replied, as she locked the necklace behind Yoona. Soon, she pulled back, smiling to her cousin.

Unfortunately, Yoona is slow to get what she means. “I don’t really understand.”

“My wish is actually to make up with your girlfriend. It will be un-gentleman if it’s her who will make a move.” Tiffany believes so.

Yoona chuckles of the request. “Are you crazy?! I’m not planning to make a move!”

“Oh so you prefer your girlfriend would do it? Knowing that it was you who hurt her more?!” Tiffany certainly doesn’t like her cousin sometimes.

But suddenly, Yoona laughs at her reaction.”I’m just kidding! Easy, cuz! I’m doing it first! Of course! Hahaha! I got you!” but only to earn a slap in her arm. She stuck her tongue, playfully.

“Aish! But wait! Not only that. Kiss your girlfriend too.” Tiffany grins. “If you’ll do that, I would not only buy you an ice cream, I would also send an invitation ticket to Disney Land, how was that? Hmm?”

Yoona brightens, loving the idea. “Really?!!! You will?!!! Make it two tickets! I want me and my girlfriend to go there!!!”  If so, it will be a dream come true. She hasn’t been in Disney land, ever since.

“Yes. I promise you. But you need to capture it with your phone.” Tiffany is confident her cousin can never do it.

Yoona however does have confident within herself too, that she can do it. “But wait, I haven’t really kissed her. Or… we haven’t kissed.” But suddenly, she has worries on her mind. She and Seohyun haven’t really kiss because of her fever, and busy works in their lives. It was a year, and 5 months had passed, they haven’t kissed since the first thing they had way back from the camp.

Tiffany chuckles, amused. “Really? Like seriously? Oh well, you won’t get the ticket. Hahaha!!!”

Yoona pouted sadly. “I indeed haven’t and I don’t know how to… do this.”

“Will it be hard for you?” Tiffany teases.

“Hopefully not!!!” Yoona cried. Tiffany really likes her whine sometimes, that she ends up capturing it through her phone. Yoona stopped, glaring at her, telling her to to stop.

“Hahaha!!!” instead, Tiffany laughs and stop in comply.

“Aish! will you help me instead?!”

“Yah! It’s not me who will do it!” Tiffany still can’t stop laughing. “You should think of anyway! Hahaha!”

“Aish! I hate you!!!!” Yoona groans. She hated Tiffany really so bad.

Slowly but surely, Seohyun felt Yoona's lips leaving her own lips. Out of the blue, she felt emptiness, and she bit her lip, slowly opening her eyes. Yoona greeted her with a warm, and yet, sweet smile along with her sparkling eyes.

But wait, it suddenly confused her.

She snapped from reality, and immediately wanted to pry Yoona's arms over her waist. But she wasn't aware of how firm is the deer's hold on her waist, that she end up still in her arms. 

"You're not going anywhere." Yoona whispers in her ears, shivers her, while at the same time, confused her.

"Yoona, what are you doing?" She whispers back, breathless.

Yoona suddenly giggles. "Like what I said, we'll talk." then she holds her girlfriend's two hands, only to place it in both of her shoulders, before resuming her two hands over the girl's waist. Their eyes, never unlock each other. It suddenly created such a warm feeling inside her heart, through Seohyun’s worried eyes, but still so beautiful.

 "You're so adorable every time you got jealous." she gigles, pecking at Seohyun's pouting lips.

Seohyun was trembling however, as she can't find any answer in Yoona's sudden weird behavior. The latter is staring at her so lovingly yet, she was silent. The last time she knows, Yoona is pretty hard to please. What happened?

 "Baby... what's happening? I thought you don't..."

"Shshshs... "Yoona places her finger over Seohyun's lips, shutting . "No need to brag what happened. The most important is, I've found my way back to you. I'm being so immature, I must say."

"Hmm? I don't understand." Still so puzzled, Seohyun wanted to know eagerly.

"I guess, I shall say, it's because I wasn't in my mind when I thought of winning my piece so confidently. It turns out, not because you weren't there by my side. And it pisses me off." Yoona honestly said.

"Yoona... You... did not win?" Seohyun was surprised. "I'm sorry to hear that. I should've known." Now she gets why the girl has been so down as well. No one told her either.

Yoona nods, smiling though. She captures her girlfriend's lips again for a long time, and secretly had snap a finger on the side, before she says, "Yeah. And it was the first time. But no worries, It's Okay."

"But-"

Yoona didn't let her girlfriend to say more words. She softly drags her on the couch, and sat down on it. Seohyun still can’t get her eyes off of her.

It was undeniably confusing. But somehow, she loves to see Yoona back in herself.

“Yoon—“

“Here.” Seohyun didn’t got the chance to talk when her girlfriend actually had give back her shoulder bag. She accepted it, but she didn’t let the time go waste,

“Yoona, what’s really the matter and you suddenly act so cold last night and today? I’m so confused from the events. Can you enlighten me, baby?” she ask, eager to know.

Yoona put a smile across her face. She holds her girlfriend’s two palms, gently giving her a warm. It made Seohyun smile, from the way this doe-eyed girl is actually starting to ease the pain in her heart. The caring touch is magically healing her heart. “Yoona… “ she whispers, holding her back.

The doe-eyed girl is simply smling. “Do you like it?”

“Yes. But baby… “

“Okay. I must say, yes! I was indeed upset, mad, pissed… whatever you call about it.” Yoona seriously, said. She continues to gently rub her girlfriend’s hand, easing her pain through it..”. And I made a mistake as well. It's so silly that I made it so big. But, it was just natural, for… it came from my instinct. I love you so much, and I would never like to see you hurt. And to add, I was being selfish I admit. I was so disappointed because you never came. I was all thinking that you can be by my side. And it guilt me because, I shouldn’t feel that way. You too have your own work, and I should’ve respected it. I’m sorry, that… it turns out that way.” She finished.

Seohyun shed a single tear, because she was glad to hear Yoona’s explanation, while at the same time, she has apologized. It enlightens her, now. “Baby, it’s Okay. It’s alright, it was normal. I was glad, that I’ve heard it. I never know… you are this deep. Thank you, for sharing it.”
