(2nd Part)

The night is cold. Seohyun wake up, feeling a bit uncomfortable and cold. But then again, she reminded herself, she just got her surgery. And her head is pretty much secured with bandages around. It feels so heavy, yet, she's glad the pain is not that bad. Maybe because of the medicine she had a couple of hours ago. Due to the surgery as well, her body is weak, and she can barely move.

Sitting up carefully, she looked around the ward. Her mother was on the couch, sleeping with a blanket on her body. On the opposite side, Yuri, sleeping peacefully with her two hands at the back of her head. She sighed, knowing that, she worried them a lot through her journey to her surgery. Worse, she has no rights to communicate with them close yet.

Sure, she felt a bit bad for giving this to them. But it wasn't because of them why she had a little heavy heart. Yoona. The girl that she has been searching for hasn’t come and visits her.

Where are you Yoona? Why are you not here with me? Just like what you promise?

It's lonely here, without you by my side.

I don't want to think negatively but I'm beginning to think that something happened to you.

I miss you baby. I miss you so much.

Seohyun brought her knees closer and put her chin on top of it, as she hug them, tightly. She close her eyes, and couldn't contain but let the tears run down her cheeks. She bit her bottom lip, trying to suppress the sobs, but it's no use. A soft sob escape , as she cried. Feeling all lonely without Yoona is a bit hard. She uses to see her every day, but now that she's not in her side, it's a bit different. There's this hole in her heart she couldn't understand. All she could see in her closing eyes is her face, which is truly hard to cope up.

Yoona...at least text me something, so I won't be like this. You're making me crazy from worrying about you.

Seohyun can no longer take it as she sobs harder. Her head that's in pain, and her heart that constantly calls for Yoona is not helping her at all. It makes her more weak, at her situation. It's more than hard for her now that she's isolated, with only nurses and Doctors allowed to stay close with her.

Meanwhile,

Nana is in between No, and yes. No, she won't open the door for Tiffany, or yes, she will open it and entertain the guest. Learning Tiffany from the past is just too hard to decide. The 'No' decision has got more feeling than 'Yes' for her. But to see Tiffany, dress casually in front of the door outside, and with her innocent feels, she is thinking twice if she'll ignore her.

"What should I do? Should I open it and let her in? Or just ignore her? This isn't hard if I know she's all the evil... but... How could she dress like this, so white and her face... it looks so... Ugh, angelic? She's not even mad if I can describe it well. Aish! Even so! She's still an evil! She and... " she was about to say something like a bad words about the girl, when Tiffany suddenly shows something on the camera, that reflects to the monitor. It's a text, on the latter's phablet, saying;

Open the Door. I'm not here for any trouble.

I'm here to see Yoona's condition.

"She... Yeah, Yoong's father. He must have mentioned it to her." Nana sighed, as she contemplated again to open the door. But the more she just stands in front of the monitor, the more she can read more text from the latter's phablet.

I'm telling you honestly.

Please, just open the door and let me in, Nana.

I know you are there.

Her father called me about this.

I got worried.

I still find her a nice person.

Don't do this to me please.

"Hmm, she's really something. How can I trust her when all of her attitude she shown to us is not like this?

I admit I was b*tch. But believe me; it's only because of her father.

I'm really a nice person.

"Oh, really?" Nana chuckled, amusingly. She hasn't really imagined Tiffany to be such a golden at heart. She can only think of Yoona as one of the person who possess such traits. "Aren't you just being an actress Tiffany-ssi?"

If you don't want to open the door, It's fine.

But I'm still going to visit again later or tomorrow. Until you open it for me.

Nana couldn't believe what she just read. She thought Tiffany would break or anything. Yet, she choose to leave? Just like that? And now, she already did left the place. As if she really felt bad, Nana immediately dashes outside and chases for the latter.

"Yah! Tiffany-ssi! Hold on!" She literally shouted, stopping Tiffany eventually on her tracks. Nana stopped right in front of her, a little breathless. "F-Fine.... I'll... let you... visit her. But please... don't create anything that would worsen her state right now." she wanted to make it really sure. Trusting Tiffany is difficult, but who knows, this girl is not bad at all? She could try her.

"Promise." Tiffany sincerely smiled, as she shows her pinky promise.

"Nah. Just behave." Nana gestures Tiffany and come with her. The latter willingly walk back with Yoona's cousin. As they arrived in the room, they are greeted by Lawyer Kim, who just went out from Yoona's bedroom. He's looking so happy with his charming face, greeting them.

"Hi Tiffany-ssi. How are you?"

Tiffany just bowed and awkwardly smiles. "I'm fine, Attorney. How 'bout you?"

"Great. Just great, now that I have talk to Yoona."

"She already wake up?" Nana exclaimed.

However, Lawyer Kim shook her head. "No. Not that. I was talking to her the whole time, with only me, being the speaker. It'll help, like they said."

"No? So Yoona is in a coma?" Tiffany turned to Nana, a bit surprised. "Mr. Im only mentioned she had a heart attack."

"We just found out that she's in a coma earlier, when the Doctors confirmed it. Um, it's not that bad actually, but hopefully she'll wake up soon."

"I see... " Tiffany nodded, understanding Yoona's situation. "But... she doesn't have any heart disease, right?"

"Definitely. Um, You want to see her right? Then, see it for yourself." Nana said softly, before she finally walked to the door and opens it for the latter. Lawyer Kim is behind, as they walked in.

That moment Tiffany laid her eyes to Yoona, being tuck in a blanket and was wearing a mask, she covered through her two hands. It's not like what she expects, actually.

"Wae? Was there something wrong?" Nana chuckled.

"Is this your first time to see a patient like this?" Lawyer Kim added.

The said girl shook her head, denying. "No. It's just that... I definitely hasn't imagine her... in this situation. I feel like... it's not real."

"But it is. So deal with it." Nana commented.

Tiffany slowly walk forward and finally got a closer look of Yoona's face. She sighed, a bit sad with Yoona's condition. She sat down, at edge of the bed, and wanted to touch her when she changed her mind, as she looked at Nana, as if asking for any confirmation if it's going to be okay. The latter shrugged her shoulders, allowing her.

With that, Tiffany reached for Yoona's hand. She can't deny it, just by the touch of her skin; warm and soft, Yoona's lifeless hand signifies her sickness. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry Yoona. I know what I did... " she softly said, caressing the top of her hand. "... was wrong. And I know this may sound silly and really... not me or anything, but... I'm really sorry. Although some of my acts were true to myself, It's not because I am not good anymore. I just got pressured and... desperate. Yeah, desperate to marry you even though we don't like and love each other. I wanted to take this chance and also thank you... for doing this. I mean, your big decision of marrying your girlfriend really... mean to me. I don't know what will happen next but I just wanted you to know that my parents won't be cancelling the projects we already did with the company. Isn't that a good news? However, I'm sure there will be changes. But I know you are genius, so it's not going to be a big deal... Aigoo, You also need to wake up now, You idiot!"

Nana and Lawyer Kim frowned, as soon as Tiffany's soft voice become so fierce and even accuse the latter. Before they know it, Tiffany suddenly shouted.

"Yah! Your girlfriend is out there! Waiting for you all this time! Aren't you guilty with that?! It's not easy don't you think so?! YAH IM YOONA WAKE UUUUUUPPP!!!" Tiffany breathed heavily, before she then smiled, satisfied with what she did.

"Do you think that will help Yoona? You're pressuring her!" Nana quickly scolded the said girl.

"Well, she won't open her damn eyes. What else do we need to do? I think we should put some loud music. What do you think?" Tiffany wiggles her eyebrows, as her arms are crossed near to her chest.

"I think we just got fooled, Lawyer Kim." Nana sighed, can't believe Tiffany's behavior, unlike earlier. It's as if she's just acting.

"Yeah, her sincerity earlier was replaced by a fake Tiffany-ssi." Lawyer Kim joked, earning a glare from Tiffany.

"What did you just said, Old Man?"

"Aish! Tiffany! Will you shut up?! You're not helping at all." without any warning, Nana reached for the latter's arm and pulled her up. Tiffany just don't seem to mind and slapped her shoulders.

"I was sincere back there ya know! I-I just can't stay like that until the end. I hate things like this." Tiffany reasoned, truthfully.

Nana groaned and began to drag Tiffany out of the room. Following behind is Lawyer Kim HyunJoong, who has been smiling with the way Nana drag Tiffany out of the room.

"I just want to check if she'll wake up like that, though." Tiffany pouted her lips.

"Tch, but it's not helping. Look, she hasn't even waking up. I think you should go. Who knows you will not just shout on her."

"Yeah, I think I need to go too, Nana-ssi. I'll see you tomorrow again." Lawyer Kim decided to be the first one to leave, as he slightly bowed to the latter and was about to leave, yet, Tiffany stopped him.

"I'll come with you. Yah! Nana! Take care of my almost wife, Okay? Hehe, sorry about earlier." Tiffany giggles, as the said girl just rolled her eyes to her. She then turned and left the room with Yoona's lawyer.

As soon as she had closed the door, Nana sighed, relieved. She shook her head, can't believe what just Tiffany did. She went back to the room, and check on the doe-eyed girl if the latter has woke up already. She was glad that the latter hasn't. Not that she doesn't want to see her awake, but the way Tiffany shouted is kind of a force for her. She wanted to believe that Yoona's coma is a way for her to heal... from any stress and heartaches she encountered.

"You'll wake up soon, I know that. It's not only today yet. But don't take too long... or you know what will happen to the people you love... especially Seohyun. Don't be stubborn, araso?" She gently brought Yoona's cover under her chin again and patted her chest. Little did she know, Yoona's finger ring is move a little bit, just like Lawyer Kim saw.

Two weeks later...

If there's one thing that Yuri could wish and do at the moment, it is to finally have a talk with her best friend. It has been a week, since her surgery, and she couldn't wait any longer to see the positive results. They said that it will take 2-3 weeks for the wound to heal at the back of her ears, but the possibilities of her best friend to finally hear and talk, maybe, has a high chance. So when she know that the bandages were already out and her discharge is due later, she couldn't get herself and get excited. One more thing, she'll be able to tell her finally, about what really happened to the doe-eyed girl. It was sad, but she and Seohyun's parents have agreed to lie for a while, until she the bandage are out. 

She never forget to buy Seohyun her favorite vegetable pizza before she went directly to the hospital. And when she arrived, nurses and Doctors are greeting her with a bright smile on their faces.

"What's going on?" Before she could even think of any reason, she heard laughs and jokes inside the ward. She reach for the doorknob, and there... her eyes brightens when she saw her best friend, laughing so hard with Sunny and Mr. Seo's constant jokes. "Could this be.... "

4 hours earlier...

Seohyun's POV

Entry #01:

3? 2? 1? Just how many weeks I have been confined? I think 2 weeks, only? Yeah, It has been 2 weeks since I had my surgery and a week since they told me Yoona is in a business trip. She didn't even visited me and leave like that. Sigh. Yet, I'm positive and excited we'll get to see each other again. One month only though. I doubt if that's long enough. I think that's only one day for me. Unless, I won't count the days. keke.

Well, I'm definitely sure it'll just pass.

Thanks to my parents and friends, they've been so supportive and all out, that it lessens my loneliness over that so mean, Im Yoona. How am I going to protest though, she had already left. 

P.S. I'm sure, I'm going to punish her once she went back.

After writing down to my journal, like I usually does, I put it aside as my eyes now set to Mrs. Im's letter for her daughter. I think it's been a month since I've discover this. And yet, until now, I still can't decide on whether I'll convince Yoona to read this. A sighed at the thought of Yoona not in my side again. A little sad that she's still not here with me. 

Placing it under my pillows, I slowly turned my attention to the door, as I sense it will open. And I was right, Doctor Jung and my Doctor in my throat walked in, having the same smile to greet me. I barely could figure it out, why, but before I knew it, two nurses walked in with some stuffs on their hands, including a cutter. 

'Is it today?' I ask Doctor Jung. I probably can't still hear with my condition, but I have a strong feeling it's the moment they'll get rid the bandages surrounding my head, including my ears. Honestly, it isn't hurting at me at all. It's even disturbing me, already. I feel like, everyday, I'm wearing a hat, or anything.

"It is." Doctor Jung answered, verbally and through her sign language. That made me brightens. 

'Will I hear again after these bandages left me?' I get so excited.

"We'll see on that." She looked like she is giggling with her smile and the movement of her shoulders. 

'I'm excited.' I told her.

She and another Doctor then gestures the nurse to give the cutter. And Doctor Jung approach me on my left as she supported my head. I don't know but I feel like closing my eyes. So I did. My heart just flutter as I felt their hands, running over the back of my head. I can't help myself, but think of Yoona again and imagine how will she react about me, hearing her voice already. She makes my heart beat faster, even if she's not in my side.

Soon, I felt like my head is already empty, or should I say, It's more light now. Then out of a sudden, my ears perk as I heard a drop of seem to be metal?

"I'm sorry." and following, a soft deep voice that it made me turned to the right. 

It sounded so weird, yet, it's like I was born again. It feels like I am back as a kid, freely running to the playground.

 I have goose bumps all over my body. It's just too overwhelming to gain my hearing back. And the next thing I felt, liquid run down through my cheeks. I am tearing up, literally.Because, Slowly, I have come to realize I can hear again. My eyes slowly fluttered open and I saw Doctor Jung, she's smiling at me. The nurses are almost the same, as they can't stop staring.

"Hyun, can you hear me... now?" 

I chuckled, really.... along with my tears, as I also nodded. Doctor Jung's voice, they're so tiny, yet, it fits her face so well. I heard claps, and that's when I realized, Sunny Unnie and my father was behind the Doctor, staring at me in awe.

"Hyun-ah? Can you also hear me?" Sunny Unnie made a weird voice, which I can describe as cute and was that aegyo?

I can't help and put a thumbs up. My father is tearing up in her side, can't believe that I could now hear them, clear and clean. 

"But hyun, can you... can you speak?" Doctor Jung got my attention again. And that made me realize. I haven't really tried to. So I gather my throat and clear them, before I slowly and tried to speak.

"I... I do." But it came so low and I don't know if they heard it. Yet, it made my heart jump in joy. Did I just hear my own voice? The last time I heard it was back when I am still a kid. I don't know if I sounded the same? 

I looked up to them and including Doctor Jung, they're all crying, making my eyes welle up with tears again, as I smile. "D-Do I... " I pause as I gain my best again to speak. It's a bit difficult, yet, I know I can do this now. Now that my throat is giving me all the freedom to speak at the same time. "... S-Sounded good?" I finished, furrowing my eyebrows.

"Hyun, your voice is not that fully developed because it has been a while. Yet, later or tomorrow, as you practice speaking, you can eventually speak straightly. Being your physician, I'm so proud to hear you like this. Good job." Doctor Park said, which I just finally heard. I can see it through his eyes, he's so happy to hear me speaking once again.

I nodded. "Thank... yo-you." feeling so grateful with all of these. I barely could speak, and cried, joyfully. I felt someone pulled me and It's my father, comforting me. I don't know, but I'm renewed. I love these feelings, really. Like finally! Hey! I can speak and hear again!!! Thank you Lord and to my Doctors. But mostly, thank you Yoona, you were the one why am I so brave like this. This is not just for me, but for you as well.

End of Seohyun's POV

"Hey! What's going on here?" Yuri walked in to the ward, completely, and all heads turned to her, including Seohyun who smiled so bright to greet her. "Can someone-"

"Best friend? How are you?"

Yuri almost wanted to go back to the first minute she opened her eyes, upon hearing Seohyun's voice for the first time. Her eyes just literally went out of it's socket. "Come again?" She unknowingly wanted to hear her voice that sounded so soothing to her ears for the first time. What if she's just hallucinating? She couldn't careless.

"Your voice... they're... they're like father's voice, Yuri." Seohyun giggles, finding it funny.

Yuri just dashes forward and almost knock Sunny out of her seats when she push her away, as she came closer to Seohyun. "Was that you? You can hear and talk again? Right? I'm hearing it right?"

Seohyun leaned forward and whispered to Yuri's ears. "Wae? Do I sound bad to you?" she unconsciously made it so husky, that it came so y to Yuri's ears.

"No-No. Um... " Yuri got speechless. Yet, before she could even think of another word to say, she was pulled by Sunny. 

"You! You heard it right! She's all well now! You're so silly." 

Yuri chuckled heartily, as she turned to Seohyun again. "Yeah, I'm sorry my best friend." 

Seohyun giggles so cutely. "Was that a pizza?" as she also pointed the box Yuri is carrying in one of her hands.

"Oh Yeah, your favorite vegetable pizza, best friend." Yuri happily and excitedly pulled the table from Mr. Seo and place it on top of it. 

"I think it's really a celebration!!!"

Mr. Seo, Seohyun and Sunny all laugh at the tan girl's antics.
