12 | The Wait Is Over
What... if?
One thing that run through Seohyun's head at the moment is the possibilities.
Hypothetically, Her mind tells her that if Yoona's father is her grandma's son, that is likely going to happen. Yoona and her are cousins in grandmother’s side.
sigh.
Just thinking about it, it gives her headaches.
She was this confused. Her heart and mind couldn't seem to have the same thoughts on, what was in the letter. If her mind agreed of the possibilities, her heart is contradicting. Maybe because, Yoona is someone so special for her. Or maybe because, she doesn't want Yoona to be a blood related?
"This is so surreal. How can it turn out like this?" Mutters her, taking a glance at Yoona who was still outside, with her grandmother. Her hold to the old letter tightens, as her teeth gritted unconsciously. Yet, she couldn't continue. She looked away from Yoona and leaned her back in her seat, closing her eyes momentarily. She let out a heavy sigh, as she put her two palms near her heavy chest.
She breathes in and out, smoothly as she put her mind at peace.
"What if... we are... " However, she couldn't still. Not right now, that they're close to find him. So close to know the truth that was starting to build her interest.

4 hours. Two Towns. Two refuel, and three stops for a restroom, Yoona, Seohyun and her grandma arrived safely at a ranch called 'Infinity Ranch'. A soft warm wind brushes their bare faces. The sun from afar, is slowly setting, as the sky is starting to get dark. All of them are wearing the same warm smiles, sharing the same visions. Yet, Yoona especially scooted closer to the young girl, as her hand slowly makes way carefully in her hand. She slowly intertwined their hands, in which Seohyun had a special smile plastering across her face. When she successfully held her, Yoona couldn't stop and smile widely to the sunset. She took a glance to the younger and slowly but gently place a kiss in her head, which she stayed there, smelling heavenly her Seohyun's scent.
"I love you, Joohyun." She whispered.
Seohyun just nod her head, as she turned her head and smiled to the deer.
But suddenly, to her disappointment, Grandma Seo nudges her from the other side, which made her stand straight right away. Seohyun giggles, as she finds how adorable Yoona can be. She stayed in Yoona's side, holding her back, like she has no intention to let go. Yoona on the other hand, has the greatest smile on earth, when she couldn't think only, but about the future of her and Seohyun. She can see her girl, and her, in the same roof, having the best times in their life, that is undyingly sharing the same passion and love.
Grandma, however, has an anxious feeling inside her heart, that moment they arrived at the ranch, and a worker confirmed the Im Dong Gun, they've been searching. She couldn't believe, that finally, after two years of searching, she would only find him in this country, where she gave birth to her late son. How She wishes, she is with him right now, waiting for Im Dong Gun together. Her love of her life.
A few moments had passed, a sound of fast steps slowly approaching their place. Almost at the same time, the trio turned their heads away from the sunset as they find themselves, watching an old man, riding on the horse, slowly approaching them. Yoona's eyes widened, truly know the person. She looked at Seohyun, then smiled genuinely.
"It's him." She said softly.
Seohyun blinks for a few times, before she slowly let go of the deer and reach for grandmother's hand. On the other side, Yoona held the old woman's hand, as they witness, Grandma Seo's tears starting to be visible.
"Im Dong Gun." Grandma Seo softly uttered, couldn't believe her eyes.
Not long after, the old man finally stops just enough distance in front of them. He carefully steps out from the horse, while his eyes were fixed to a certain old woman, couldn't stop tearing up. He was flabbergasted for a moment, as He step forward towards her. At the same time, Grandma So slowly let go of Yoona and Seohyun's hold, and took the opportunity, as her heart and mind tells her to do the same time.
Closer and closer, each step they took, were nervous heartbeats. Until when there is only a little space between them, Dong Gun cupped Chae Young's face in both hands, as he wiped the tears that was freely dropping. He smiled, yet so bitter, when finally, the love of his life, he's been waiting is right in front of him.
"Chae Young... " He softly said, can't stop himself from caressing her face, that was still so beautiful. "It's been a long time."
Grandma Seo nod her head slowly, as the new tears drops. "Yes. 50 years." she said, holding Dong Gun's two hands over her face.
Couldn't take it any longer, Dong Gun pulled Chae Young for a warm and tight embrace. "I miss you so much."
"Oh Dong Gun~" Grandma Seo closed her eyes, embracing the long awaited warmth she ever missed from him. She couldn't stop herself and sobs in his arms. For how long she's been waiting, she's finally living it. Memories from the past is rushing back before her arms, as she couldn't stop her embrace.
Im Dong Gun is the same. He keeps her two arms in his waist, pulling her closer, so he couldn't let go of her anymore. His heart that was lonely for how many years, is finally whole again. The most things that he had been wishing, embracing her once again like he usually does.
Whilst on the side, Yoona and Seohyun stare at each other, smiling so endlessly as the sunset keeps on giving them warmth.
-----------------------------
"Whoa! This place is good. I'm thinking of spending a lot of fun here, before we could go back"
Yoona spread her arms wide, walking over the balcony. Once she stood in the balcony, she put her two hands in the stone railing, as her eyes liked the fireflies that was constantly flying before her eyes. Underneath her, is the grape garden her grandfather is currently taking care.
"Joohyun look at this!"
Seohyun, who was in the bed, fixing her clothes set aside her things and run over to the balcony as well.
"This is amazing. I've never seen any fireflies." She exclaimed, as her eyes sparkles in the night.
"No serious? You've been to a lot of places, you haven't seen any of these?" Yoona looked at her, not believing her.
Seohyun stared back at Yoona, nodding her head. "Usually, I only spend in a hotel, not like this."
"Oh, that make sense. But, haven't you experienced camping? I'm sure you did. There are a lot of them in the forest."
"Hmm, back when I was still in high school. But no! I really haven't seen these..." Seohyun tilted her head once again to the view before their eyes. "... I remember, we were supposed to see them in a camp, but our teacher told us to sleep early. I was disappointed, because I'm so eager to watch them fly, high above me."
"But we are at the same level with them right now." Yoona giggles, realizing the scenario.
The young girl looked at her with a small smile. "Silly. Of course! Because we are at the 2nd floor."
"Hehe, I was just kidding babe." Yoona then proceeds to stay behind the young girl, and suddenly wrap her two arms in Seohyun's waist, locking her in her two arms, securely.
"Ya! What are you doing?!" Seohyun jerked away, attempted to push Yoona off, but the girl tightened out of her expectations.
"Just stay still. I like this when I'm holding you like this. There's no intention of letting you go easily." Yoona reasoned out.
"But Yoona... "
"Shshshsh... just enjoy this moment first, before they will knock on us for dinner." Yoona whispered, placing her chin on top of Seohyun's bare shoulders. She suddenly kisses it and smile, before she closes her eyes, and shut .
Seohyun wants to complain or whatsoever, so she could stop the doe-eyed girl from holding her, but the latter won't let her. She was defeated later, in which she can only hold Yoona's hands over her waist, in response to her loving embrace.
"Yoona, have you talk to your grandpa? Jessica unnie earlier called just to tell me that I should bring grandma now. I'm seriously worried now." ask her softly, when she noticed Yoona fell into silence.
"Nope." Yoona simply said. "I can't-I mean, we can't interrupt them at this very moment. For freaking 50 years, Joohyun. Don't you think they didn't miss each other?"
"I know... But-"
"Let's wait for the perfect moment. We'll ask them about their plans." Yoona said, feeling her heart at peace, while she is currently holding her love. "If ever, then... don't get worried much, I will be the one to fight for our love. Or, to fight for us. Do you also want to do the same?"
Seohyun was loss of words. She could only nod her head, and smile endlessly. She caressed Yoona's hands through her two hands, while keep her eyes to the night sky and to the fireflies entertaining her eyes. She fell into a silent mode, just couldn't think of anything, except for another thing, the letter that she discovered. Yoona still doesn't know about it, which she surely needs to tell. For she knows, Yoona should also be aware.
Can she tell it now?
There's nothing to be afraid, though. But why does it seem wrong? It seemed, a way for her to make Yoona worry?
No. She wouldn't like to put another burden on Yoona's shoulders.
"Yoona... thanks for coming into my life." So she shrugs about it, and let the fate tell them.
Yoona opened her eyes, slowly before she opened once again. Yet, before she changes her mind when she caught two people in a bench, sitting next to each other. "Look down. Your grandma and my grandpa just arrived."
Seohyun instantly complied. "Oh, I didn't notice they had."
