Lucky Charm 3.3

“Cut!”

That was it. It was the third cut of one particular scene she’s been up to. She, the leading actress of the drama that is currently the number one drama in South Korea, can’t able to concentrate on her scene.

It was simple. She only needs to act so happy.

Turns out, she can’t act it well.

“Seohyun-ssi! What the hell is going on with You? I thought you were good at it? Do it again!”

Seohyun flinched. “I’m sorry. I’ll do it again.” She didn’t take time to think it and she agreed to her director. She gradually took her spot again in front of the camera and started to jump freely, reaching for every bubbles that are spreading around. But instead of acting it out, she failed to do it again.

“CUT!!!!”

Seohyun stopped from doing so and disappointedly apologized again, by bowing to the director and to the staffs. “I’m sorry. I’ll do it better now.”

“Seohyun-ssi.” The director suddenly stopped her.

Seohyun straightened herself, staring so wearily at him.  “Director Jo.” She was clueless why he stop her. 

“What’s wrong?”

“Yes? Um, N-nothing. I think I just—“

“There is something in your eyes that I can seriously spot. It’s been 2 hours had passed, I am not a blind person, Seohyun-ssi. I can tell it by your eyes. Something is bothering you.” Director Jo knows her well.

Seohyun was dumbfounded. Mostly, she is good with acting, not until when this doe-eyed girl came, she is starting to mess up. Especially that, right now, she is having trouble with her.

Now, all she can feel is the sadness within her heart. She stops acting what was in the script.

“Um, I’m sorry. I’m just really tired… it’s been the whole day.” Seohyun however, doesn’t want to disappoint the people around.

“Okay. Let’s have a break for now.” Director Jo announces. 

"What--"

“30 minutes, I need your happy face in front of the camera after that. Can I count on you?” Director Jo firmly said. But was hoping the girl would agree. It’s already passed 9, he wouldn’t mind doing something just to bring his actress to herself.

Seohyun was speechless. It isn’t the first time, but tonight is different. He was sincere with his works. She thought for a moment, glancing to every staffs. "Um... I-I... " she nodded in agreement. “I promise.” 

“Go ahead. You can leave now.” Director Jo smiled, as he took his spot in his seat again.

“What…” But the young actress doesn’t know what he means. “… Are you… implying?”

Director Jo raise his shoulder. “Like I told you, I’m not a blind person, Seohyun-ssi. Today, it’s your girlfriend’s competition, isn’t it? I know you wanted to cheer her. I think, it will be the best thing to do so that you can act well here. Did I, got it right?”

“No. Not at all—“

“30 minutes, starts now.”

“Huh?”

“What are you doing? Do leave now!”

Seohyun has no time to think, after the director starts his countdown via his phone. She couldn’t think of thanking him. She runs off, leaving all the staffs awed by her flash movement.

“Director Jo, do you think she can manage to be back?” One staff asked.

“My question is, will she able to reach for her girlfriend?” Director Jo doubt so.

Seohyun reads all the messages, as soon as she opens her phone. She was in the street, trying to find any cab, while trying to calm her nerves from the messages she got from her girlfriend.

She forgot one thing, she has a van, but ever since then she runs off, she realizes it’s better if she’ll do it on her own.

“Taxi! Taxi!!!” she shouts, as a cab pass by only in front. It’s almost 5 minutes had passed, she can’t yet see any vacant cab.

Couldn’t longer hold her patience, she uses her legs once again and runs all the way to the mall. The cars that pass at her, were visible in her eyes, as her burning determination indulge her.

Running… has never been in her life, ever since. She only runs if it needs for a drama to act. And right now, she’s not just running simply.

Her heavy breathing, her fists that are curled tightly, was a fact that, she wanted to run for her life. For this girl who made her change, yet she wasn’t aware. All she thinks right now is to never disappoint her. That in fact, her sense she has disappointed her. Seohyun never felt like this, determination to make someone happy.  She has never even made it for her parents, nor other friends.

This is so special for her. Yoona, is so special to her heart.

After a while,

“Ha… ha… ha… “ Seohyun smiled, even for her breathless and so as for her beads of sweats. She didn’t mind though.

She took another glance to her phone, just to find it
