“Hyung……why do you think Mr.Choi want to meet us?”

Hoya pulls the hem of Sungyu’s sweater to get the leader’s attention and look at Sungyu’s unreadable expression. Hoya can’t no longer stay calm like usual. When their manager, Hyoan called and said that Mr.Choi summoned them in the morning after their morning practice for the meeting, Hoya can’t hide his worries anymore.

Since Sungyeol’s contract termination issue three months ago, he keeps his cool to balance the emotion of the team. He need to showed to Sungjong and Myungsoo that everything will be okay and he also want to be the best supporter for Woohyun, Dongwoo and Sungyu.

But now he can’t do that anymore. Everything becomes too heavy for him to carry. He already felt like he failed to protect Sungyeol, now Myungsoo doesn’t want to talk to anyone and it’s broke his heart when he came home last night just to see the maknae fell asleep on Sungyeol’s bed while hugging the choding’s pillow.

“Howon ah……go and check on Sungjong, Dongwoo and Myungsoo……..we need to hurry…..”

Hoya just nod and walk away to do what Sungyu asked him. He quite disappointed when Sungyu didn’t answer him, but he knows that Sungyu has a lot of thing in his mind.

When he walks to his room to check on Sungjong, Hoya’s steps halt. Dongwoo squats near the drawer with a serious face. Too serious that makes Hoya feel timid in front of the main rapper of their group.

“Hyung, what are you doing here? Do you need something?”

Dongwoo look up to Hoya and stand up without saying anything. He then just walks away from the room with something in his hand. Hoya want to ask about it, but seeing Dongwoo in serious mode make him retreat.

Everything is a mess right now. Hoya slowly feels that the members teamwork start to waver.

“Hyung, are you done pretending as a statue?”

Hoya snaps his head to the flat tone. Sungjong already prepared to go out and pick up his bag after tidied Sungyeol’s bed. He fell asleep on Sungyeol’s bed last night while waiting for Sungyeol to return home because he was really worried about his favorite hyung.

“What Dongwoo hyung doing here? And what is the thing in his hand?

“I don’t know……..I don’t even dare to talk to Dongwoo hyung after what happen yesterday……”

Then the maknae walk out the room.

Hoya just sighs at the maknae. The youngest of them still affected by Sungyeol’s issue and the little fight between him and the group’s visual make him a bit sulky this morning. Not to mention Dongwoo kind of cold toward the maknae, because Dongwoo is the only member who spoiled Sungjong to the max. He never scolds him and always sided with the maknae every time the youngest got scold by anyone.

The main dancer then walks to the second room to check on the last person. When he opens the door, Myungsoo sit on his bed hugging his bag and fixed his sight on his mobile phone.

“Myungsoo ah~~~ are you done already? Let’s go now…….Sungyu hyung waiting for us…..”

The said guy just ignores Hoya and didn’t move an inch from his bed. Usually it was Sungyeol who will come and get Myungsoo if they need to go somewhere. This is the first time ever Hoya personally goes to Myungsoo’s room to get him. It’s kind of awkward and he doesn’t know what to do.

“Myungsoo ahh~~~~

Still no respond from the visual of their group.

“Kim Myungsoo……gets your out of this room…….Now!!!”

Hoya and Myungsoo both startle by the sudden low tone from the door. In split second they thought it was the strict leader. But when they realized who is that voice belongs to, Myungsoo hastily stand from his bed and walk out the room as instructed by that guy. While Hoya just froze there and just watch Myungsoo and Dongwoo walk out the room, leaving him there.

Hoya totally lost right now. Everything and everyone around him changes almost drastically. Sungyu looks defeated, Woohyun looks weak, Sungjong become grumpy, Myungsoo become mute and Dongwoo suddenly become strict. All change in just 2 days.

All start with Sungyeol.

(In the hospital)

“Then I’ll make you~~~~~ I’ll make you leave!!!!!”

Mr. Jun and Sungyeol both startle by the sudden yell.

“Hyu…..hyung??”

Kris march toward the bed. His eyes focus on Sungyeol and he doesn’t even realize that there are other guy sit near Sungyeol’s bed. He was too angry when Sungyeol still want to stay in INFINITE even what he had been through.

“I’ll make you leave~~ do you hear me Lee Sungyeol???!!!!”

Sungyeol just huff. This is the main reason why he doesn’t want Kris to know anything about his injuries. That guy was way over protective toward him.

“Hyung……I’m not Tao…….I’m not that guy or any of your group members……so, don’t decide for me!!!”

Kris was stumped by Sungyeol’s remark. Both are glaring each other and didn’t say a word.

“Sit first Kris ssi……….Let’s talk about it……..”

Both snap their head toward Mr. Jun. Sungyeol lower his head and Kris just bow apologetically toward the vocal trainer. He then pulls another chair and sits beside Mr. Jun. But he still glares toward Sungyeol. He admits that he was protective toward Sungyeol. That’s because he failed to protect his precious dongsaeng, Tao and failed to influence Lay to leave EXO after what they have been through. So, he doesn’t want the same thing happen again. He doesn’t care if Sungyeol hate him now. He just doesn’t want anyone he care suffered again.

“So, I assumed you already know about Sungyeol’s agreement, right? Is that why you want him to leave INFINITE?”

Kris sighs and nods his head.

“Yes……Things already out of control…….it’s way too much……and it’s not worth it~~~”

Sungyeol clench his fist and look directly toward Kris.

“Hyung, are you looking for a fight??? I told you already, I’m nothing without INFINITE!!!!”

Mr. Jun hastily grab Kris’s hand to stop him when he almost grab Sungyeol’s hospital gown.

“Sit down young man!!! And Sungyeol!!! Listen to him first……..”

Both Kris and Sungyeol calm down a bit and sigh. Both of them bow a bit to Mr. Jun as a respect to the elder. They realized that they were too caught in their emotion.

“So, why did you want him to leave INFINITE?”

“Because all the things that Sungyeol faced right now is much worse than previous Lee Soo Man’c victim…….TVXQ, SUJU, SNSD, F(X) and us, EXO……..all of us physically and mentally tired, injured and our welfare being ignored…….but we still have each other~~…….we were never alone to face all this s although in the end we still lost the fight……..”

Sungyeol eyes soften a bit when he heard Kris talk about his own experience.

“But Sungyeol is alone……just a word about his agreement leaks out to s, he will be cut off without a mercy……..he also injured badly compare to the previous seniors that became Lee Soo Man’s target……that old guy even sabotage our filming safety tools that almost killed Sungyeol if just a little mistake happen..…..he…..he endured it alone and even…..even kept this to himself….I….I can’t let the same thing happen again….I…..I just can’t~~~”

“Hyung~~~~”

Sungyeol drag his body and grab Kris that already broken down to tears into his embrace. He felt sorry toward Kris. The guilt when he gets angry at Kris just now eaten him alive. He knows that guy care about him, but he can’t let go of s. INFINITE is his everything.

Mr. Jun just sigh looking at Sungyeol trying to comfort Kris. He partially agreed with Kris. He also suggested to Mr. Choi to terminate Sungyeol’s INFINITE contract before. So he understood Kris’s frustration. But Sungyeol is too determined to stay to protect his position and INFINTE. If he just forcefully pulls Sungyeol out of INFINTE, that boy will be broken. Broken until no one can’t patch him up anymore.

Mr. Jun sigh softly and put his hand on Kris’s back. Kris lifts up his face and look at the vocal trainer.

“Then let’s stand with Sungyeol, so that he will not be alone………and Sungyeol, you say you were ‘nothing’ without INFINITE, right??  Then let’s make you into ‘something’……..”

Both young man frown at Mr. Jun remark and look confused. While the vocal trainer just grin at them.
