“Any good news?”

“The plan was a success…..according to the paramedic on scene, his is bleeding non-stop and his cut was deep that require a lot of stiches…….”

“Good~~~…..now we just need to push him just a little bit more”

“But sir…..I think that boy was quite a fighter…..he didn’t let the paramedic tell anyone about his injury and refused to go to hospital……..he just continues his schedule as usual……”

“Don’t worry……he won’t last long……..he will give up soon~~~”

The young guy in front of him let out a small sighs when the old men on the seat let out a big laugh. He doesn’t know how long he will do the dirty thing for his boss. He felt sorry to everyone that became a target to Lee Soo Man. He thought EXO will be the last since everyone scare of his power. But when the old men came out with a new target, he was devastated and the method used by his boss to eliminate the target become more dangerous than before.

When Soo Man asked him to find someone to infiltrate the filming set, he thought he just want to spy on Sungyeol. Never once cross his mind that his boss would go that far that almost cost the life of the boy when the guy he hired sabotage the wire used for the stunt scene. Just a bit mistake, that poor boy could die from the fall. 

“Sir…..may I ask?”

“What?”

“Why Lee Sungyeol? That boy was no threat………”

He wants to ask that question for so long. He knows why his boss want to crush INFINITE, but what he didn’t understand, why Lee Sungyeol? Why not Kim Sungyu the great leader, or Nam Woohyun the voice of INFINITE…..or at least Kim Myungsoo the visual?

Lee Soo Man just let out a chuckle and smirks.

“Why?  Are you questioning my judgment?”

“No sir, I’m not……..just wondering why you didn’t choose the competent one……”

Lee Soo Man takes off his glasses and smile.

“You need to learn more about business, Jungmin ah~……you think I didn’t try it before? But last time I choose the wrong person……..but now I perfectly sure with this boy……..in this industry, you can’t just simply win by attacking your rival boldly, no matter how big or how strong you are……but you can win easily when you know where to poke……..find the source of your enemies strength and cut it off………and BAMM!!!!! YOU GOT WHAT YOU WANT~~~”

Jungmin was disgust with the old men’s loud laugh. But suddenly something click in his mind. His boss just said that he choose the wrong person before. Isn’t that mean Lee Soo Man already tried to crush INFINITE before and failed?

But why he didn’t know about that?

Who and when?

But Jungmin just let that question sink into his mind. He thought maybe knowing too much do him more harm than good. He doesn’t need to know his boss previous crimes. What he knows and what he had done to the previous idols already eating him alive. He betrayed their trust again and again.

Including his best friend, Kim Jaejoong. Jungmin was not sure if he can keep doing this kind of thing anymore.

(INFINITE’s dorm)

“Going out again?”

Sungyu crosses his hand and gaze tenderly to Sungyeol. They just came back from their album’s photo shoot about an hour ago, and Sungyeol already need to go out again. Woohyun who preparing their dinner in the kitchen walks to the living room when he heard the leader talking. Hoya and Dongwoo already went to their night schedule for INFINITE H, Sungjong helping Woohyun and Myungsoo in his room doing his stuffs.

“Yes, hyung…….I need to train for drama’s fighting scene tonight with Kris hyung……..I’ll be home late……..”

“You didn’t keep anything from me right?”

Sungyeol fidgeting and keep looking everywhere other than the leader’s small eyes.

“Hyung, what are you talking about? Why would Sungyeol hide anything from us?”

Woohyun was confused. What actually happen between them that the leader suddenly goes into interrogation mode tonight?

“I’m not hyung, why would I lie…….you….you can ask Hyoan hyung, he’ll be picking me up for the training………”

Myungsoo walk out his room when he heard s talking and he feels weird when he saw Sungyeol wear his winter jacket and a sling bag. As far as he knows, Sungyeol was schedule-free for tonight. He still remembers this evening when Sungyeol frantically explained about his bloody shirt that was spoiled when a bottle of fake blood used for the drama spilled on his shirt. But he was still skeptical with Sungyeol excused. Myungsoo was involved in several dramas himself and never once he saw the filming crews used a fake blood which smells like the real one. But he chooses to trust his best friend because he hopes the choding told him the truth.

Sungyu sigh and ruffle Sungyeol’s hair gently. He actually has a lot to ask to the choding. Why he look so tired? Did he eat properly? Did he hurt anywhere? Or why he suddenly said that Sungyu treat him like an outsider?

Sungyu felt that Sungyeol is drifting away slowly from his side. Sungyeol never even once avoid him. Now he feels that the choding purposely doesn’t want to cross path with him.

“I’m not saying you are lying or what…….just asking……aren’t you tired? Can’t you just excuse from the training? You’ve been busy since this morning…….”

Sungyeol lowering his head, enjoying the feeling of Sungyu’s hand ruffling his hair. His heart clench tightly inside by the leader’s gentle voice. Only god knows how much he wants to cry and scream everything he going through alone this past three months to Sungyu. Sungyeol bite his inner cheeks and lift his head. He flashes a warm smile and grabs Sungyu’s hand that was still on his head.

“I’m not tired hyung……I’m okay….I’ll be back in few hours……”

“How about your dinner?”

Sungyeol let go of Sungyu’s hand and smile to Woohyun.

“I’m not hungry, thanks hyung”

Sungyeol then walk to the door to get his shoes. He actually has a vocal training with Mr.Jun at the Woollim’s studio. He can’t be late or else he will be scold again by that strict guy.

Meanwhile, Woohyun and Myungsoo just stand silently watching their leader standing in statue mode. He just look at his hand that Sungyeol let go with an unreadable expression.

“Myungsoo, can you go help Jongie…..I have something to talk with Sungyu hyung….”

Myungsoo just nod and walk to the kitchen.

“Hyung, what’s wrong?”

“Woohyun ah………..will Sungyeol really left our group?”

“That was already decided, right? There is nothing we can do……”

“But…..but I don’t want that to happen…….what should I do Hyun ah??”

Woohyun hug the confuse leader and pat his back gently. What he worried the most is happening. Sungyu’s strong charisma that leads 6 of them for years is wavering. Woohyun can sense the leader’s back who always look warm and dependable was so cold and defeated. He can’t let that happen when their concert just three months away. Something must be done.

He needs to do something for the sake of INFINITE.

Even if he need to be the bad guy.

(In the van)

Hyoan keep glancing to Sungyeol’s image from the mirror. The choding look a bit different tonight. He keep smiling to himself and look a bit happy than he used to.

“Did something good happen?”

“Nope…..nothing hyung, why did you ask?”

“You look happy….”

Sungyeol just smile and humming their song. He actually a bit happy by Sungyu’s small gestured when the leader ruffled his hair. He can’t remember when the last time the leader treats him like that but he felt grateful. That little act from the leader makes him forget about the pain from the stiches that still fresh on his arm. Or rather he can’t feel anything because of the ‘vitamin’.

“Hyung~~~~~ I’ll stay in INFINITE…..I’ll win this fight!!!!!!~~~~~”

Hyoan smile weakly at Sungyeol’s cheer remark. This poor boy, just how long he will suffer until he’ll crack, thought Hyoan.
