Heeyoung and Kris went to the streets of Myeondong. Kris tried asking if there’s a place in particular she wants to visit but since the girl was lost in her own thoughts, Kris led the way and ended up there.

They roamed the busy street and bought some unimportant stuff. After exiting the last store, Heeyoung stopped walking that made Kris look at her.

“You okay?” the blonde asked but Heeyoung remained silent looking into the ground.

“Kris?” she called.

“Hmm?”

“Can I hold your hand?” she asked that took Kris aback. He never saw this coming but he can’t just say no, not to this fallible and distressed girl that is his friend ever since elementary.

“Sure.” He replied in a mumble enough for Heeyoung to hear.

The girl smiled and reached for his large hands and intertwined their fingers.

“Thanks Wufan, you’re the best friend ever.” She chimed and Kris just returned a smirk.

“Don’t forget, I could become the best husband material too.” He joked and earned a slap on his arm from the girl.

“That happened a long time ago.” She said with a laugh remembering one of their childhood memories.

Flashback

 

The Wu’s, Kwons and the Xi’s have gathered in a dinner party on one of Wu’s best hotels in China. The elders were happily chatting, taking their cup of evening tea while the three kids were restlessly playing tag running around with laughter.

 

“Luhan you’re it!” Heeyoung tagged the 5 years old Luhan.

“How could you run so fast?! This girl. You’re not a girl, you’re a monster.” Luhan pointed to Heeyoung.

 

The little miss just stared at her cousin in shock with her big round eyes.

“I’m not a monster gege!” she managed to shout back.

“No you’re a monster! An ugly monster! Meeerhong!” Luhan teased that made the little Heeyoung fume in anger.

 

“YOU MEANNIE! I’m going to get you!” the little girl run chasing the laughing boy but to her luck, the little girl tripped and fell to the carpeted floor.

 

“Oooff!”

Heeyoung fell followed by a cry and Luhan turned back to see what happened. The boy’s eyes widened to see his cousin crying on the floor. He ran towards the girl but another boy was faster.

 

“Are you alright?” a gentle taller boy asked the crying girl.

“I fell and my foot hurts.” The girl replied.

 

The boys kneeled down and gave the girl an assuring gentle smile.

“It’s okay, Kris gege is here now.” The 5 year old Wufan said and wiped the girl’s tears and with those warm actions, the girl’s smile was back again. He carried the little girl back to the elder’s table to rest calling Luhan on the way as well.

 

Kris sat Heeyoung down on his chair and gave his orange juice to her.

“Thanks Kris gege.” The little girl beamed and gulped the juice as the two young boys and the elders watch her lovingly.

 

“Kris would become a perfect husband.” Mrs. Sandara Kwon squealed and the others agreed.

 

Heeyoung nodded furiously agreeing and looked at her gege and said “Kris gege will be the best husband ever and I’m going to marry him when I grow up.” Boldly that made the little Kris blush.

“Aww. My baby’s blushing.” Mrs. Wu teased.

“Mama!” The blushing Kris hissed at his mother but then felt a weak tug on his shirt. It was Luhan tugging on Kris shirt with a pout on his face.

 

“What is it Luhan?” he asked.

“Kris I want juice too.” Luhan said with a pout.

 

Kris gave his friend a smile and nodded.  “Let’s get some with Heeyoung, okay? What flavor would you like?” he asked Luhan.

“I want pineapple!!!!” Luhan cheered that earned chuckles from the elders.

 

“Heeyoung we’re going to get juice for Luhan are you coming?” Kris asked the girl and she nodded.

 

And with that, the three went to approach one of the waiters to get Luhan’s juice with their hands holding to each other with Heeyoung in the middle.
