After that ball, the whole school turned quiet and calm as the day of the final exams approached.

The important exam where their fate will be decided. If they're welcoming the senior life next year or not.

Daran were busy studying for the finals and working. Jongin is not the type who studies for exams but helplessly tags along with Daran to the library every lunch.

After that ball, Jongin and Daran ended up spending the whole evening at the rooftop because they were too uneasy with the other student's stares. Even the teachers were looking at them. Daran knew those eyes were staring at them because of her being the richest student in school's partner for the night.

Little do they know that that was only one part of the reason they were staring. They looked so beautiful and handsome that night that they looked perfect.

They were still sent in daze to Daran's beauty knowing she's poor. That night, they realized and accept her as Jongin's friend making Daran free from all the usual glares she was receiving. Of course there are still some brainless people who didn't accept her but did nothing but to glare at her often.

Time passed by quickly as Daran struggled to survive with her studies and job to fulfill her grandpa's test for her.

She wasn't alone though, Jongin supported her and offered help but of course Daran kindly rejected them all. And now it's almost the half of Daran's test.

If she passed this test, she'll become a senior and hopefully graduate so she can go back to her old life.

Daran woke up early and prepared for the exam.

Finally, the day she has been preparing for has come. She went to school early to re-read her notes and prepare her mind for the exam. She was alone in the classroom quietly sitting on her place as she studies when someone poked her right shoulder. She doesn't have to guess coz it was only Jongin who does that often.

Without even taking her eyes off her book, she greeted her friend 'good morning'.

He sat beside her and gaze at his friend reading.

"I'm going to melt if you won't stop what you're doing right now Jongin-ah." she beamed still reading.

The both of them grew really close together with Jongin always following Daran everywhere like a puppy and Daran taking care of him making sure he behaves well. The cold and rebel Jongin was long gone replaced by a childish and playful one all thanks to Daran.

"But I'm bored." he pouted and sat at his table playing with Daran's bag strap.

"You didn't have to go early though." she beamed.

Jongin just rolled his eyes and said "It's better early than late."

Minutes later, the students started to come one by one and filled the class. The exam started as soon as the teacher arrived.
