*Kris!* Daran gasped seeing her best friend smiling at her but then frowned seeing her reaction.

"What? You don't miss me?" Kris raised a brow and walked towards the girl.

*What now?! What to do!* she panicked mentally but managed to force a smile.

"A-Anni. I missed you. But what are you doing here? I thought you're in Canada." she asked her friend.

"Dad told me to come her coz other heirs will be here too." he replied.

"But I should be the one asking you. I thought you were overseas?" he asked suspecting something.

Daran panicked and saw Jongin busily being pushed by his mother to talking to people. She turned to Kris and grabbed his arm.

"Kris, I have something to tell you." she said to him.

"Is everything alright?" he replied worriedly seeing his friend's serious expression.

"Let's talk somewhere else. There's too many people here." she beamed leading the both of them in a more reserved place.

"What is it HeeYoung-ah?" Kris asked concerned.

"Listen Kris. I don't know how to explain this but I'll try." she started.

"I'm not HeeYoung anymore. Not until I graduate high school." she explained.

Kris stared at her blankly and said "You're right. I don't get it."

Daran sighed and said "Just remember that I'm not HeeYoung, the rich girl, but I'm now Daran an orphan." she told him.

Kris held his friend's shoulders and leaned down to match her height.

"Listen here HeeYoung-ah. I know you're still sad about your parents but you don't have to do this." he said thinking that she was just kidding.

"But I---" she was about to reason to be cut by Jongin's voice.

An angry one.

"Daran-ah." Jongin called her and went towards the two pulling the girl to his side.

"I told you to stay there." he said to Daran and turned to glare at the shocked Kris.

"What do you want?" Jongin said to Kris as he kills him with his stare.

Kris looked at his friend and Jonging stare at him as he tried to process everything that's happening in his mind.

*This young lady has some explaining to do.* he said in his mind and snapped out of his thoughts.

He turned to Jongin and smirked.

"I'm just making friends with this fine young lady here." he said and turned to the girl.

"Right Daran-ssi?" he asked looking into her eyes telling that he needs explanation to the girl in the process.

Daran nervously nodded looking back at Kris that made Jongin snap.

"She doesn't need one so get lost." Jongin hissed and dragged Daran out of the hotel to the car.

*Who the hell is that guy? And what does he want with Daran?* he exploded inside his head.
