Singer, Actress, Model - Nana
Downing Today, Drowning TomorrowSong Ji Hyo woke up pretty late, it's almost 11. She woke up, took a warm shower and dressed nicely. A pair of new dark blue jeans with a white blouse. She took a pair of shades with black rims, it suited her long sweater; she complimented herself when she looked at the mirror. She took a chair and placed it in front of her full-length mirror - she decided to braid her hair, like Kwang Soo did for her. It was kind of messy since she did it herself, but she didn't mind it. She looked nice anyways. It was rare for her to drive her car, and it seemed like these days, she's only using it to meet Kwang Soo. She chuckled at herself, the radio and sang along a few songs that she frequently heard. She had her breakfast in a regular Korean breakfast restaurant. There were no press, and only a few people greeted her, since this was unplanned anyways. Some took pictures with her, and she carefully obliged their requests.
She didn't mind eating a lot, better yet, she liked it. She liked that she could just pay attention at eating something instead of having to match someone's pace. She read the newspaper, and checked the news online if there were anything about her. Every day is like this, she would have checked it to make sure that nothing comes up. Better yet, to make sure that the news that her frequenting Kwang Soo's place does not resurface. She had her morning Americano, thanked the owner and went on her way.
The photoshoot was in the KBS building, somehow Kwang Soo is getting more and more popular these days. All of the Running Man cast, including the PD was quite shocked of his sudden popularity. His wavelength of popularity seriously was no joke. Everybody likes the giraffe, Song Ji Hyo says in her head, including me. She wore her sunglasses, this was the reason for it. She parked in the basement so she didn't need to be exposed by the public. Her life as an actress was not easy, it is only a few days in her life that she could stop being wary. She clicked the button on the elevator on level 4, near the annex; which Kwang Soo texted her in the morning while she was sleeping.
She asked somewhere around there, a staff and she pointed the dressing room at the end of the hall. She didn't know what to do when she stood in front of the door. Before she could even knock, the door opened - it was him.
'Noona!'
She seemed to be startled. All of the preparation turned to waste.
'You're a bit early, noona, it's only five minutes before twelve.' He says, looking at the clock on his dresser.
'I know, I got ready faster than I thought.'
Lee Kwang Soo blushes, for a reason that he didn't know. He asked her to sit down, and she did.
'You look nice.' He says. 'Very youthful, I thought what's this teenager hanging around here.' He says, jokingly. She smacks Kwang Soo's forearm softly.
He couldn't stop looking at her, as if it was the first time he looked at her.
'Ippo,' he simply says softly. She could feel her ears redden.
Abruptly, the stage manager called him, saying that the shoot is starting. He asked his noona to join her, and she followed. One of the staff grabbed her a director's chair, placing it near the station; a full view of Kwang Soo on the screen. Instead of the brute, masculine poses that men would most likely do, Kwang Soo went for a more subtle approach, the cute approach. He looked good though, years of practicing did him well. There was one point in Kwang Soo's modelling career that he once took very professional poses, but now he thinks he is more suited to be the cheerful, friendlier type. Kwang Soo looked at her from afar, he tried to concentrate as much as possible.
She's talking to the director so seriously, he says as he smiled. More and more, his smiles turned sincere instead of being someone in front of the photographer. Song Ji Hyo focused deeply on the screen in front of her, sometimes pushes her head forward until she could see the real him, instead of behind lenses.
She liked being there. She felt like they were really dating, but nobody really thought that. She tried her best to hide it.
Up until singer, actress, model Nana from After School came in, her mood changed. Nana came in a bit late, she bowed, saying how sorry she is. But the photoshoot went along as usual. Going through several poses, Nana looked beautiful around Kwang Soo's arm. Since their heights matched, they looked like two peas in a pod. Song Ji Hyo wasn't jealous, she wasn't, god no. She thought she was too. She should be jealous, right? Because Kwang Soo liked her. But it wasn't that. She felt sad instead, she couldn't feel her legs - she could feel her tears welling up, but the director kept talking to her - it seemed like he has taken a liking of her.
She merely smiled, held it in. Breathe, she asked herself, this is not what you need right now. She kept repeating it to herself, but her chest tightens.
She didn't like the sight.
She didn't like that Kwang Soo looked almost picture-perfect with Nana.
She didn't like it one bit.
