Breakfast & Dropped Dumplings
Downing Today, Drowning TomorrowLee Kwang Soo woke up as if he was getting his paycheck today. Today is Monday, it means that it would be the day he got to meet his noona. He wore a pair of brown straight-cut jeans, and a white jumper with it. He got up, took an energy drink to lift him up in the morning and went on since filming was early today. He got there by himself, using his favorite Honda. He called his noona, whether she wanted a ride and maybe get some coffee together; she said yes, of course. Innocently, he tried to style his hair, trying to look his best for her.
'Hi noona.' He greeted as soon as she opened the front door. His noona looked heavenly, as she always does. She wore a simple top, a white blouse and peachy-red jeans. It could have seemed that she has only woken up when he called, he was glad he did.
'Do you need anything before we head there, noona?' He asked, smiling. She turned up the air-conditioning as if it was her own car, Kwang Soo merely smiled looking at her.
'I'm hungry, Kwang Soo-ya, let's get something to eat first. It's still early - why do you need to be so early all the time?' She says, Song Ji Hyo who was infamous of being late every day.
'Because I get to see you, of course.'
Song Ji Hyo disregarded his remark merely because a. she was embarrased by it b. thinking about it would turn her red and finally c. it was too early for her to be up in this hour.
He pulled over to a breakfast place that they often went. She ordered the morning bibimbap, since she was so hungry. It was actually a lunch menu, but the ahjumma didn't mind because it has been the norm for her every time she was here.
'What did you do yesterday, noona?' He asked as they waited in line - it was a self-service, and since it was a Monday, there were a lot of workers that came by to get their food on the go.
'I didn't do anything, actually, I just sat at home; ate and slept - the norm. Since I'm basically unemployed, I don't have much to do. How about you?'
'I had a cover shoot yesterday, so I was kind of swamped. I came home late.' He says. They ordered, and for the first time, Kwang Soo was the one who paid after a long debate about 'I'm the noona!' and 'Why are you being so impossible?'
Anyways, they ate and talked; he loved listening to her talk, it almost sounded like she was comfortable, sometimes too comfortable. But Kwang Soo did not care, since she acted as if he was her best friend. She ate heartily, as she always does.
'Ah- jeongmall, this is seriously so good, jinja.' She says, while eating her meat bibimbap. Kwang Soo liked that she was a good eater, that she has a piece of rice on her bottom lip. He silently took it, and placed it on the edge of the tray.
'That was embarrassing.' She says, wiping her lips.
'It's cute.' He merely says, and continued to eat his savory cold noodles.
Song Ji Hyo got red, listening to Kwang Soo. She slapped his arm. 'Ya, who told you to call me cute?!' She says, pretending to be angry.
'Well, you are cute noona.' That made her kind of happy to hear and ashamed at the same time.
To Song Ji Hyo, Kwang Soo was one of those guys she would like to own. Someone she wants possess, and maybe even love at the end of the day. She enjoyed his company, he listens to everything she says and quite frankly, isn't that what all girls ask for?
'Kwang Soo-ya.' Song Ji Hyo calls him, but he was busy eating a dumpling.
'Hmm?'
'Can I come over, after filming?'
He dropped his dumpling. Funny giraffe.
