Bonding Time
A Fangirl's Dream*Onew’s POV*
“So what’s your take on this whole camping thing?” I asked as I dumped out my bag of tent stakes.
“I love camping!” Rebecca smiled up at me while threading one of the poles through her own one-person tent. “I always look forward to going camping every summer with my dad and sister.”
“What about your mom?”
“My parents are split up. I visit my dad throughout the year, but usually stay with him for a good week or two in the summer.”
“Oh, I’m sorry.”
I really did feel bad for bringing it up. I’d seen people get sensitive about things like this.
“Nah it’s not so bad. I’m just thankfully I get to see both of them! I feel sorry for those people who only have one parent, if any. And plus; I get two have two of every holiday!” she laughed happily.
I stopped what I was doing and looked at her in amazement.
“What?” she asked.
“How do you do it?”
“Do what?” she smiled, going back to her tent.
“You always find the positive in every situation. It’s like it’s impossible to bring you down; not that I’d want to or anything!”
“Haha, I don’t know… I guess I just don’t see the purpose in focusing on the negative things in life. Like, you only have so long to live, so why not make the best of it; you know what I mean?”
“Yeah,” I smiled at her. “Yeah, I understand.”

“Oppa, you’re doing it wrong,” Rebecca laughed at me, taking the hotdog and the stick from my hands.
She put it on the right way and held it over the fire, gesturing for me to take it again.
“Thanks,” I blushed at her.
“Haha, no problem.”
A howl came from somewhere in the distance. I could tell by the sound that it was fake; Minho was constantly showing off his ‘wolf’ skills. However, Rebecca must not have caught on, because she scooched closer to me on the log, taking my arm in a hug.
“Oppa, I’m scared,” she whispered.
“It’s only-,” I stopped myself. I was afraid that if I told her it was Minho, she might let go of me. Instead I slipped my arm out from her grasp and wrapped it around her shoulders, pulling her close. “It’s okay; I won’t let anything hurt you.”
She slipped her now free arms around my waist and smiled up at me.
“You’re a great guy Onew.”
She kissed my cheek before snuggling against my warm body. I felt like I was going to pass out.
I hope this moment never ends…
*Nicole’s POV*
“Minho stop,” I complained. “You’re going to attract all the wolves!”
“Relax Nicole; they won’t come near the fire. And I think the other couples need a little scare. I could bet Key is freaking out right now!” he turned toward me, smiling.
“You’re so bad Oppa.”
He looked at me with hurt eyes.
“But don’t worry… I like it,” I smiled at him.
He gave me one of his killer half smiles before joining me by the fire.
