See you again, see you soon and see you tomorrow.
WRITTEN BY Kyuhyunnie

When I entered the store there was only one customer around. Medium height, wavy morning brown hair spread to her shoulders with a pair of fluffy bangs to accompany, very good looking-
wait, that was an understatement, she was extremely good looking. She was adorable as she stood by the ice cream section looking for her favorite ice cream.
Oh wait, that’s me.
Tiffany grinned. She grabbed her favorite ice cream Twister and walked to the counter while digging up some coins from her right jacket pocket.
The counter beeped once.
“I also really like ice cream.”
Tiffany looked up to the thin voice as she put a random amount of coins out on the disk, which she assumed was the right amount. A short haired girl with blond tops gave her a few seconds of a nervous eye contact, and smiled before averting her eyes and counted the money.
Tiffany raised an eyebrow and waited.
Tiffany had taken a few steps away and was just about to open her ice cream as she was stopped.
“Um, 2 coins too much.”
The short girl held her hand out to give them back. Tiffany looked back. She opened her ice cream and smiled as her shoulders shrugged once.
“Have them.”
The other girl insisted though.
“Use them tomorrow instead to buy another ice cream.”
The sincerity in the girl’s voice felt off this planet. Tiffany couldn’t help but just stare at her for a second. This was truly, as Tiffany can recall, the first time the girl had said more than ‘Thank you’ to her.
Tiffany chuckled briefly, and it looked like it was well received. She walked back and grabbed the coins. The shorter girls hand quickly disappeared to her side again behind the counter.
“Bye.”
“See you again.”
As Tiffany closed the glass door behind her and looked at the cars streaming by, she really hadn’t noticed how she had become a regular at this tiny shop lately. She threw the paper in a garbage bag and enjoyed the cold sensation in contrast to the boiling sun.
Goddammit summer was hot this year.

-

A few days later Tiffany noticed the counter girl actually had a badge, which said ‘Kim Taeyeon’. Weirdly, she had never noticed that before. She was also trying to be discreet when she leaned forward to take a look as the short girl counted her coins.
When Tiffany left the shop, the girl’s face- Taeyeon’s face, was red as a tomato.
Figure.
Tiffany kept thinking about that.

-

“Excuse me.”
Taeyeon looked to her.
“Yes?”
“Did you change the prize on the Twisters?”
Tiffany asked. She was seriously straining her brain to remember if it was the 1st of April. Or possibly a dream.
“Um, yeah, we made them cheaper.”
Tiffany stared at her for a second, trying to see any type of hesitation. When Taeyeon just continued looking at her, Tiffany smiled, then went back to grab a Twister.

-

Out of habit, Tiffany always forgot to pay the new price. Which almost every time ended up with Taeyeon calling back the rushed girl to give her the few coins back. But it didn’t seem to matter how late the girl was, she always ran back and thanked Taeyeon with her eye smile.

-

Taeyeon counted the coins and suddenly spoke up.
“It’s raining today. The weather is bad too.”
And strangely, Tiffany’s eyes were already on the girls face.
“I know. My umbrella knows it too.”
She smiled.
Taeyeon chuckled once.
Tiffany took the first step, clearing as quietly as she could.
“I’m Tiffany by the way.”
Taeyeon looked up and was met with two crescent moon eyes. For a moment Tiffany thought Taeyeon was just going to stare at her.
“I-I’m Taeyeon! Nice to know your name.”
Tiffany smiled as Taeyeon went back to counting. But surprisingly she seemed very chatty today and Tiffany didn’t mind.
“You like eating ice cream on rainy days too?”
Taeyeon put the coins in the cash register and closed it. She looked up expectantly.
“I’m naturally hot.”
Tiffany grinned, a tad, and a lot when Taeyeon looked away. She didn’t know why, but she didn’t feel like correcting herself. She also didn’t know why she just stood there, looking at her.
“Oh.”
Taeyeon said quietly and curved, eyes still averted.
“Tell me”
Tiffany opened her paid Twister, betraying her patience and routine.
“It’s very empty here.”
Taeyeon nodded, a little embarrassed. She didn’t know if Tiffany meant right now or just in general, but either way she was right. Tiffany looked around with one glance.
“Do you always have the shop open at 02.13am?”
“Of course, it’s an all around open shop.”
Taeyeon simply answered, looking up at her. Tiffany was actually taken by the answer.
“Don’t you, you know.”
She the melting ice cream.
”Have anything else to do? School or so?”
“Oh, no, I’m 24. “
She smiled.
”And I’m not here all the time, I usually get off at 11pm. I work together with another person.”
“Aha.”
Tiffany nodded, learning more and more about this girl.
”So why are you here now?”
Taeyeon’s eyes were very soft to look at for a long time Tiffany noticed.
“We are getting a special delivery today.”
Taeyeon smiled.
“Really? Of what?”
“Twisters.”
Tiffany’s lips imminently formed a smile. She grinned looking down.
“I see. Well, they do seem to be quite popular.”
They both laughed in the quite atmosphere until Tiffany looked at how quickly time passed.
“Um, I have to go. Bye.”
She said shortly, smiled and dragged herself away.
“See you soon.”

-

“Hey, I never got to ask your age.”
“Guess.”
Tiffany ate her Twister as Taeyeon stared at her. She felt strangely nervous as Taeyeon’s eyes suddenly went lower onto the girl’s body.
Tiffany coughed and Taeyeon met Tiffany’s eyes again.
“Um, 20? I’m not, I’m not very good at guessing. Sorry if I offended you now.”
Tiffany’s cheeks blushed a shade of pink, she felt very flattered.
“It’s okay.”
She shyly answered.
“So?”
“I’m 23.”
“Then we are almost the same age.”
Taeyeon cheekily smiled, leaning forward on the counter. Tiffany agreed heartily, and then was reminded she was actually late to begin with, before she even entered the shop. She quickly bid her farewell and sprinted off with a wave and a smile.
It had happened a few times, Taeyeon was used to seeing the girl run out the glass door.

-

It was a really rare day.
“You aren’t wearing your uniform today.”
Tiffany stated but didn’t want to complain. It was obvious that it was a very hot day, too, so of course you open an extra button on those days…
Tiffany just couldn’t help but to stare down at the rare sight of the girl’s cleavage. She had a blue striped flannel shirt -Tiffany loved flannel shirts- along with a simple pair of half ripped blue jeans. What helped Tiffany in her ogling was that Taeyeon was being unusually slow with counting the coins.
Taeyeon looked up at Tiffany then at her clothes.
“Yeah, my washing machine broke yesterday.”
Her eyes were strangely seeking forgiveness. Tiffany just nodded to the information. Then wonders of what Taeyeon normally wears on her free time occupied her mind on her way home.

-

Followed by another rare day. There was another costumer in the shop, in the milk and energy drink section. Tiffany eyed the young man as she skipped to claim her Twister. When she got up to the counter and Taeyeon’s normally friendly smile shined brightly- she felt very awkward.
“You are very quiet today.”
Taeyeon tried to glance at the taller girls lowered face. Tiffany just nodded, stealing a glance back into the shop. The man still stood at the same spot, seemingly to have a hard time deciding what to buy since he was holding a lot in his hands.
“Thanks. Bye.”
Tiffany grabbed her Twister and sprinted out of the shop.
Taeyeon was left dumbfounded.
“Taeyeon!”
The male turned and his voice echoed the tiny shop, he held up a milk carton. Taeyeon averted her eyes from the glass door.
“Yes?”
“These are old, we can’t have them lying around waiting to give our customers a bad stomach, can we?”
“Well throw them away yourself then?”
“But you aren’t doing anything!”
Taeyeon groaned.
“Fine. Let me throw them away.”

-

Tiffany didn’t know why she felt like the man in the shop would listen to their conversation. It’s not like they are talking about credit numbers or robbing the nearest bank, why should it matter?
They are friends now, aren’t they? …Are they?
Tiffany sulked, hating the fact that she wasn’t the only customer anymore after seeing him there the following times.

-

Tiffany didn’t see him.
“Don’t you ever um, want to try another ice cream?”
Taeyeon asked as she counted the coins, her voice curious this early in the morning. Tiffany chuckled, checking her pink nails she had just an hour ago painted- but turns out Taeyeon meant it somewhat seriously.
“I’ve loved Twisters for a while now I-“She looked up and saw a glint in Taeyeon’s eyes, not really prepared for her curved lips. “-can’t seem to, to get enough of…you.”
“Me?”
Tiffany’s eyes bulged.
“It! I meant it, Twister, I can’t, can’t get enough of it.”
Tiffany felt herself redden all the way to her toes, and awkward laugh came out. Hands suddenly clammy as she turned robotically, grabbed the Twister and was out of there in mere seconds.
Taeyeon smiled shyly.

-

I should ask, I should, I really should, I should ask now. Now before she has counted them all.
“S-So,”
Taeyeon looked up. Tiffany fiddled with a string of her hair.
“I guess I’m not your only customer anymore, huh?”
Taeyeon put the coins in the cash register and closed it gently. She made a thinking face, humming.
“Mmm no, it’s still just you.”
Her smile was very priceless Tiffany thought.
“But, the other guy that is sometimes in here…”
Leaving it open for Taeyeon to fill in.
“He’s the other person I work with. His name is Wooyoung.”
Taeyeon gave Tiffany her Twister.
“Ah.” Was all she could say. “Um, okay.”
Taeyeon watched her carefully, which Tiffany felt more than well.
“Bye then!”
“See you tomorrow.”
When Tiffany got outside she felt her heart beat a little lighter.

-

Tiffany opened the glass door and no other than Wooyoung was there, in front of her, and not by the milk and energy drinks where Tiffany had named his spot. He greeted her friendly then left through the door before it closed.
“Hey.”
Taeyeon greeted her with a wave. Tiffany waved back.
When she put the Twister on the counter and let it peep, and her coins were all out on the table.
She bit her lip.
“Hey, Taeyeon.”
“Yeah? 4…5…”
“Do you, like, wanna hang out some day?”
Tiffany bit her tongue, while fingers were tightly crossed behind her back. She watched as the girl stopped counting and slowly met Tiffany’s eyes.
Her expression shocked.
“Really? …You wanna hang out… with me?”
Damn…so cute, she looks so cute with that expression, oh god.
“Yes!”
Tiffany had her sweetest smile, not sure if it looked more like she was hitting on her rather than just wanting to hang out.
“Okay, well, sure.”
And Taeyeon smiled with her teeth, which made Tiffany’s knees weak nowadays. But Tiffany was also on her own heart lifting journey as Taeyeon agreed.
“Which day?”
Tiffany was all smiles now.
“I was thinking tomorrow night at like, 6am? If you could ask Wooyoung to cover for you…or…something.”
Tiffany had no idea how it worked, but she hoped her best puppy eyes worked.
“I’ll, I’ll ask him to.”
The fact that it looked like Taeyeon didn’t hesitate was giving Tiffany hope.
“I’ll come here at 6pm then.”
“Mm do that, then we can take my car.”
Taeyeon offered.
“All right then!”
Taeyeon tinglingly went back to counting the coins, and then they bid their goodbyes.
Taeyeon sat down on a chair and cupped her smiling face.
Tiffany skipped down the street happily.
What should I wear?
Wonder what she will wear…

-

“You know, if the date-*cough* I’m sorry, hang out goes bad, we will lose our only customer, right?”
Wooyoung clearly said, eating a banana while leaning his back on the front side of the counter.
“I know! I know!”
Taeyeon called out from the bathroom.
“Aish.”
Wooyoung sighed. He ate the last piece of banana then threw it away, only to grab another one to open prettily.
Taeyeon came out from the bathroom.
“Wah… aren’t you over doing yourself a little?”
Wooyoung grinned.
“Be quiet.”
“You know I was being sarcastic, right? You could actually dress up a little more.”
“Jeans with a shirt is okay.”
“If you are scrubbing the floor.”
“This is how I normally look.”
“I’m still standing by what I said.”
“Stop being so negative!”
“I’m just being fashionable! Heeey, are you afraid if you dress up she will actually think it is a date?”
Taeyeon combed her hair, averting her eyes somewhere else than on Wooyoung.
“No.”
“Psh.”
Taeyeon walked closer to him and looked in the garbage bag beside him.
Three banana peels were found.
“Hey! Stop eating all the bananas! Are you actually paying for them?”
Taeyeon glared at him. Wooyoung held up a few bills and smirked as he planted them on the counter.
“Why don’t you just order in a special delivery of bananas since I like them so much.”
Wooyoung quickly squatted away when Taeyeon fired a punch towards his arm.
“Why do you always have to include her in everything you say!”
“I just like bananas!”
He innocently shrugged his shoulders and looked elsewhere, taking another bite.
“Well, I don’t see you eating bananas every day for the last months!”
“You know, I don’t think she comes here just for the Twisters.”
The expression on Wooyoung’s face was slightly… disgusting, as if he was playing up a scene in his mind containing two girls…and possibly himself.
Taeyeon closed her eyes and sat down.
“Why are you such a pain… My head hurts.”
“Because it’s fun.”
“What is, exactly?”
She rubbed her temples.
“To mess with the things you like. You are so overprotective. And on another topic, you didn’t tell her we are family, right? Do you like making her jealous or something?”
Taeyeon groaned.
“…I thought you said change topic. You are still talking about her.”
Wooyoung literally zipped his mouth shut and enjoyed the last piece of the banana melting in his mouth.
“Damnit!”
Taeyeon made a fuss and went back to the bathroom and changed.
“Monkey!”
She yelled.
“Over protective gay sister!”
“Gay brother who meddles too much in my life!”
“At least I have fashion sense and can help you!”
“I don’t need help!”
“Choose the pink one! She will like that one!”
“I didn’t bring- what the, why is the pink one in my bag?”
Wooyoung hopped up on the counter and smiled, throwing the peel away.
“It’s there because I love and care about you, sis!”
There was no reply and normally maybe that’s not very good, but Wooyoung knew it was all according to plan. He watched his clock as it ticked closer to 6am.

-

“Hey Tiffany!”
Tiffany jumped a little at the excitement in the voice and closed the door behind her unfocused. He stood placing out some stuff Tiffany didn’t focus on.
Did Taeyeon talk about me?
“Um, hi Wooyoung.”
She smiled and did a little wave with her hand. She looked towards the counter to find Taeyeon but it was empty. So she stood looking pretty, her hair that was rarely tied was in a pony tail, which showed the girls multi earrings. She wore black shorts and a pretty beige blouse to it. And her bag was indeed Prada.
Wooyoung eyed her from top to toe from a distance.
My sister is going out with Marie Claire herself…cool.
He nodded his approval to nobody in particular. Supposingly to the can of beans in front of him he was holding.

Then suddenly Taeyeon appeared from the entrance behind the counter, looking very cute in a pink blouse. Tiffany’s eyes landed on her imminently and loved the sight, she loved a pink bloused Taeyeon. Sadly it was partly covered with a black jacket.
“Hey.”
Taeyeon walked closer.
“Hi.”
They stood by the glass door together.
“You look very pretty.”
Taeyeon couldn’t help but say, standing so close to her. But she mentally smacked herself.
Now it really did sound like they were on a date.
“Thanks. You too. I’m a big fan of pink.”
She laughed and Taeyeon followed. Then a can fell to the floor and they both turned to Wooyoung. He looked startled at them, then he smiled widely before slowly disappearing b
