DRUNK
- sonyuhmars

“Sleep with me.”

“Pany-ah…”

“Tae, sleep with me,” she said again pleading. “Please?”

“Pany-ah, you’re drunk.”

She snuggled closer until was breathing on her neck. “Tae…”

“I said you’re drunk. Just go to bed.”

The one trying to pry the other’s hands away from her arm moved to the edge of the bed, intending to get up.

“No. Don’t go Tae,” she whined, clutching more to the shorter girl’s limbs.

“What?”

She was annoyed and disgruntled. Her brain was screaming no but her heart was telling her to stay. She heaved a heavy sigh and stared at the girl before her, hair all tousled and tank top already slipping off the collars.

She shook her head and gritted her teeth. She needed to back away from it this time.

The redhead scooted her body and sat up near the bed’s board. She then pointed at Taeyeon and patted the space beside her. “I already said it, didn’t I? Who’s the one drunk here? You obviously heard me.”

“You are,” Taeyeon accused frowning. She was still sitting at the edge of the mattress and one push was enough to get her off and leave. If only she had that push that she badly needed. But her bum had a mind of its own, arguing otherwise.

“Yah!!! I’m not drunk!”

Her protests were getting louder and louder, and Taeyeon had to cup her hand over the other girl’s mouth to shut her up.

“Will you just keep quiet and go to bed? You’ll wake up everyone else in the building!” she reprimanded after taking her hand off.

Yet, instead of feeling guilty, Tiffany only had that broad drunken smile plastered on her face.

“But you have to sleep with me!”

“Tipany, will you stop?”

“But Tae!”

“Umpff.”

Patience had definitely left the redhead as she then pushed the other on to her bed.

“Tip, let me up! Stop this nonsense of yours.”

Taeyeon tried to sit up and escape but Tiffany had deliberately tossed her own body weight on top of her.

“What the hell is your problem? I just want you to sleep with me!”

In one swift motion, Tiffany had practically straddled the other girl, clamped her between her lean yet powerful thighs and pinned both hands on the sides.

“Ah. Pany-ah, get off me!”

She continued to squirm.

“No!”

Taeyeon tried one more time but Tiffany only held her tighter. She could feel the nails digging into her wrists and the pain surprised her for the most part. It was rare for

Tiffany to use force on her. Very rare.

“You’re big enough to sleep by yourself. And I told you you’re drunk! Will you get off me? I swear I’m going to kick you if you’re not letting me leave!”

“But I don’t want you to leave!”

Red locks had spread into Taeyeon’s chest. Something wet then dropped on the surface of her skin.

“Why… (sob)… don’t… (sob)… you get that?”

“Tip?”

Tiffany’s voice had gone down to a whimper.

“Just… ing… stay.”

Taeyeon sighed and let her defenses fall. Her resistance diminished and her brows eased out to a flat line.

It was futile to fight. Once Tiffany pulled the crying act, she knew was going nowhere.

“Get to your side of the bed,” she sighed in defeat.

“No.”

“Just go to other side. I won’t leave, ok? You win.”

“No.”

“Ah, there’s no use asking you when you’re drunk.”

Taeyeon had freed herself from Tiffany’s grip and let her fingers drag through her mix of blonde and black hair.

“I told you I’m not drunk. How many times do I have to repeat that?” Tiffany had settled to her chest once more.  Both hands, this time, cuddled close to her chin. Taeyeon

sensed the new wave of tears that had left the arched eyes.

“Stop crying. I can’t stand it when you cry.”

She felt the other hold in her breath and Taeyeon’s hand automatically went to her back, soothing the sobs.

“Stop it.”

“You’re not going to leave me are you?”

There was a hitch in her breath and her eyes had darkened. Taeyeon had asked this question herself too many times. She shook her head.

“No,” she rubbed the slender back again. “No, Tiff, I won’t. I’m not like that guy. I’m not a guy.”

Tiffany released her mirth against her skin. The ripples of laughter made Taeyeon gulp. Too many times had she been placed in such a situation again but each time

proved to be tougher than the first.

“Of course you’re not. You’re my girl.”

Tiffany grabbed on to Taeyeon’s shoulders and adjusted her body to fit the other. They were like hand and glove. Fitting perfectly. Like they were made for each other and they both recognized that.

“You reek, do you know that?” Taeyeon said while staring into space. Every breath she took made Tiffany’s head bob against her chest.

“Shut up,” Tiffany snapped, slapping Taeyeon’s arm playfully. “I’ve had my hard ing times trying to calm you down when you were drunk too, you know?! Whoever named you Taeyeon should have known you’re totally the opposite wasted. So shush your mouth and just let me be!”

Taeyeon just shook her head. It was her turn to chuckle. “Yah! Leave my umma out of this.”

“Hmm. Shut up. I love your mom.” She slapped again, force considerably dwindling this time. “She’s been my adopted mom since mom went away. So yes, I do love your mom like I loved mine.”

Taeyeon’s hand lifted up to the redhead’s locks and she d them gently. She berated herself for bringing up the mom thing. She knew the drunkenness would either put Tiffany in that melancholic nature or turn her rowdy like a cowboy turned pirate into seas. She was rather thankful it was the first one.

She slid her fingers through the crimson-dyed strands. They were so soft and silky, like fabric that was spooled from strings that rayed from the sun. Taeyeon simply adored Tiffany’s hair.

And she adored not just the hair but Tiffany herself, too.

“Yeah… my mom loves you like I do.”

“Hmm… she does?”

“Yup…”

Just when she thought the other girls was sleeping soundly from the intoxication; Tiffany propped up her elbows on either sides of Taeyeon and asked, eyes open searching at the other pair of browns. “Wait, could you repeat that?”

Taeyeon groaned. Even though Tiffany’s weight was lifted from her chest, the rest distributed down her stomach, leaving her little room to inhale. “Yah…ugh… repeat what?”

“Repeat what you said.”

“Leave my mother alone from your drunken rants?”

“No,” Tiffany dabbled in flirt. “After.”

“My mom loves you.”

“No.” Tiffany’s brows furrowed. “After that.”

“Umma loves you,” she repeated. “Like I do.”

A pregnant pause seemed to have swallowed both their thoughts.

“So you love me? Really? Taetae?”

Taeyeon became speechless. She wanted to answer yes. A best friend should have answered yes.

Easy as pie for the word to come out.

However, she knew what she felt was beyond what best friends were supposed to feel and saying yes only held gravity to her emotions.

“Heeeey, answer the ing question.” Tiffany nudged repeatedly which was turning out to be annoying.

“Ugh...” Taeyeon had not noticed that Tiffany had repositioned herself beside her waist and her best friend was waiting on her reply with very curious eyes, all while poking her by the rib.

“Duh. What kind of question is that anyway?” Taeyeon feigned her dread and turned her back against Tiffany. “Yah! Sleep. You’re drunk.”

Tiffany pouted and shook Taeyeon’s arm.

“I told you. I’m not ing drunk Tae.”

“No, you are… “ Taeyeon argued, thinking of a way to get out of the situation. She had to blame her big mouth for the slip. “You only say that word when you’re beyond tipsy, therefore you are drunk. Really drunk! End of discussion.”

She grabbed the blanket and hoisted it up to her chin. Secretly, she was hoping Tiffany would let it slide but she knew better---Tiffany was not going to let this go easy, especially not at this state.

Tiffany clapped. Once. Twice. And then into a series of snaps that replaced an inaudible laugh. She clasped her hands together and hit the mattress a couple of times.

Taeyeon knew by then that she was laughing her off--- her beautiful round off, she thought.

She just rolled her eyes and cursed inwardly. Great. Not again.

“ you Tae.”

Here we go. Drunk.

“Go to sleep,” she retorted, back still against the other.

“No. you.”

Oh yeah. Definitely drunk.

“Tipany, shut it and go to…” Taeyeon turned around and faced Tiffany.  Her nose brushed against the other and their lips lightly touched. They’ve never been so close physically even though they’ve been together for so long. Taeyeon abhorred skinship while Tiffany freely bearhugged her every chance she gets.

It took Taeyeon a full five seconds before realizing what happene
