“I was responsible for leaking information to Ryan. Ryan, who you think is in a coma is behind this. He’s the Director’s son and has been forced into being an agent. This is his revenge. Mike was framed by using a duplicate of his SIM card and Dr. Kwang lied to Mia about the bullet wound and the coma. The hits on Ryan were faked, infact everything was. 

He’s fascinated with Mia because the Director would always compare him to her so he wants Mia to join him in his plans. However, he was furious when I told him Kai and Mia are dating. Mia I’m sorry I saw you and Kai together yesterday and I informed Ryan. However after last night’s conversation I realized how wrong I was. That’s why I’m leaving for somewhere I can start afresh.

 I’m so sorry Mia. I hope you’re able to protect Kai. Just know they’re prepared for this. Call for emergency forces immediately. If you have to attack just find their hideout; it’s their most important location. However I would suggest Mia runs with Kai. Eric hides the idols till the guards from CIA has arrived. Mike I’m sorry. I hope you can forgive me.” she finished in a rush, voice shaky.

“I’ll call for emergency forces. Mia be with Kai. Use your personal credit card. Leave the car and the official gun somewhere. I’ll contact you exactly after 24 hours, till then keep your phones switched off. Don’t do anything rash. Don’t worry EXO will be safe.” he advised and hung up. I switched off my phone and looked at Kai who was sleeping soundly.

‘I couldn’t visit Ryan because he was perfectly well. The attack on him was easy to defend against because it was planned. He called me to that alley so that he could fake the whole thing. He planted the idea of a double agent so that I could suspect Mike. I wasn’t hurt because he wanted me to join him. Now that I think of it, tagging Mike as the traitor was too easy.’ I then understood the whole scene that Ryan had planned.

“Kai! Kai! Get up now!” I said, shaking him wildly. “Why are you crying?” he asked and I touched my face to feel my cheeks wet. “I’ll explain in a minute. Give me your phone.” I asserted. He handed me his phone and I took out the SIM and threw it away. “What are you doing?” he asked, bewildered.  Wordlessly, I took out the official gun and threw it also out. I took a deep breath to stead myself before starting.

“I’m Special Agent A2605 from the CIA. I’m here to protect you from the ongoing attacks. Right now, you’re in grave danger. Ryan who was supposed to be an agent betrayed us. You promised to listen to me so you have to. Okay?” I told him, sobs interrupting my explanation.  “You're saying the truth isn’t it?” he asked. I nodded as I retrieved my backpack. I pulled out two guns hid them with me. Next I pulled out a bullet proof jacket and made Kai wear it.

“Aren’t you scared?” I asked him as he put on the jacket. “I believe we’ll make it through. Ryan will pay for what he did to you. To think you cried so much. Bloody bastard.” he spat. “What about EXO though? They’ll be safe right?” he asked, realization dawning on his face. “They’ll be fine. You’re his target. He knows we’re together. When I ask you to do something, I want you to follow it without asking questions.” I wiped my cheeks with new determination. 

“He will pay. He’ll pay for every sick deed he’s committed. I promise I’ll have him dead before he touches you.” I said looking at Kai. “Just be careful.” Kai warned. I drove towards the highway so that I could find accommodation at a random motel that does not need an ID. After a point I realized that a car was tailing mine.

“Grab onto to something. It’s about to get rough.” I warned Kai as I speed up. I drove at break neck speed causing the other car to keep up. Then I suddenly started to drift to the side, not giving the other car a chance to slow down. “To think they’d send some experienced drivers." I scoffed as I looked back. 'Oh no..' I thought as I looked forward again. 

A\N: Finally.. the cat is out of the bag. 

Ryan the apparently good guy is the real traitor.  Did anyone expect this? 

Also I had changed the foreword of the story a while back, it'd be great if you check it out. As you would notice it might not be a happy ending.
