Kris' POV

As I drove back to the dorm, I replayed today in my mind. I had expected to have fun with Mia but even then it was a surprise to see how easy going she was. Even when she stopped talking, it was not an awkward silence that lingered in the air. It was more like a mutual silence where both of us were thinking about different things. I glanced at her to see her lazily looking out of the window, head leaning back and grey eyes twinkling with excitement.  Even without make up she was way prettier than all the girls I’ve been around.

She was so bold unlike them who are afraid to break a nail. After all, Kai was not an easy person to stand upto and he gives a person hell if he doesn’t like them. I chuckled at that thought. “What amuses you so much Kevin Wu?” she asked as she titled her head to give me a fleeting glance. "You.” I answered truthfully. “Glad to be of service, Sir.” she smirked. We reached the SM building in a few minutes. She got out of the car without waiting for me to open the door for her.  

“Thank you for your treat. I’m never going to forget how pumpkin cheesecake and maple syrup taste together.” she said and smiled.  ‘I’m never going to forget today Mia.’ I thought to myself and the chided myself for acting like a Shakespearean hero. “I enjoyed myself immensely too. We must do this again sometime. Now, shall we?” I held out my arm for her. “We shall.” she laughed and held my hand. Just as we started on our way, I received a call from the SM office that Mr.Lee Sooman wanted to see Suho and I. “Duty calls.” I said and quickened my pace.   

Mia's POV

When Kris and I got back to the dorm it was bustling with activity. Suho, D.O. and Lay were in the kitchen. Kai, Luhan and Sehun were dancing together. Chanyeol and Baekhyun were on Youtube watching SNSD and Nicki Minaj’s MVs. Xuimin and Tao were tidying up the place while Chen just mocked their efforts.  Kris proceeded to get Suho so that they could head to Mr. Sooman’s office. Not knowing what to do then, I headed towards the kitchen. “Could I help you with anything?” I asked Kyungsoo and Lay who were diligently working away.

"Not really. We’re almost done anyway but come keep us company...” urged Lay. “Does it hurt?” asked D.O. his eyes on the bandage around my arm. “Just a little bit.” I answered. “Everyone was so worried. Kai never slept the whole night and kept insisting that we should visit you. He felt so guilty.” D.O. told me. “Well, he shouldn’t have. He never asked me to kick him.” I shrugged and then smiled. “You’re happy today; you don’t have that tough girl aura around you now. Plus, you’re nice today not like the I-hate-everyone person. You actually never fail to make me question who you are. The nice girl or the mean girl.”  mused Lay.

He seemed so genuinely concerned that I had to laugh. “Geez Lay.. You need to chill out a little. Stop thinking so much.” I said in between laughs. By now Xuimin, Tao and Chen had come to join the fun.  They looked at me like I had escaped out of the mental hospital and that cracked me up some more. “Hyung you think the painkillers affected her mind?” Tao asked Xuimin. By now tears had started to form in my eyes and my stomach was starting to ache. I don’t know what exactly was funny but I couldn't stop laughing. “Stop laughing you pabo.” Kai came forward and hit my head.

The surprise made me stop laughing. “Both of you talk to each other?” Luhan asked. “Ne hyung. I apologized.” he said. “Excuse me.” I said and hit his arm. “Luhan-shi he did no such thing. We only talk because I’m a nice person.” I smiled angelically at the other and glared at Kai. “Why don’t you apologize now?” Chanyeol said with his signature smile. “Uhh..um..” Kai started and rubbed his neck awkwardly.” MiaI’mSorryLet’sBeFriends.” he finished in a rush. 

“I don’t think she heard you Jong-Jong. Say it louder and slower.” Chen . “Mia I’m Sorry for being mean. Let’s be friends now.” he said and pulled me into a hug.  Tao hit his head and pulled me away from him. “Hands off my mei-mei.” he yelled at Kai and wrapped me in a hug himself. “Apology accepted by the way.” I said as Sehun wrapped me in a hug too. Soon, everyone started clamoring for a hug. ‘Welcome to life at the EXO dorm where all of them are crazy, adorable and free!’ I rolled my eyes.
