‘Didn’t everyone go to sleep?’ I wondered to myself. “What now Kai?” I asked, exasperated. “I noticed you were really mad at Sehun, still are; yet you managed to smile like it was all forgotten.” he stated, using the same tone. “Do you have any idea how stalkerish you sound?” I asked. “You didn’t deny it. Smart choice, I knew I was right. So Mia-shi tell me, what makes you so selfless?” he asked. “Let’s take a moment here. Let me answer your real question.” I paused what I was doing and looked him in the eye.
“I took the bullet on instinct. I never had the time to think the pros and cons of doing it. So I don’t have an ulterior motive behind doing it.” I answered curtly. He was surprised at how I figured out exactly what he wanted to ask. “Who’s the stalker now?” he teased as he recovered. “It’s a normal reaction to wonder why I took the bullet inspite of making it clear that I strongly disliked you. I hate to break it to you but the stalker's still you Princess.” I stated. “How did you learn to repair laptops?” he asked. “How did you become so bipolar?” I asked him. “I was born this way.” he said without a trace of humor. “I was a computer student.” I replied to his previous question. I continued to work in peace while he watched me.
“I wish I could understand you.” he said suddenly, taking me aback. I paused what I was doing for a few seconds before continuing. “I’d rather not have you try.” I told him flatly. “Why not?” he prodded. ‘Cause I’m a CIA agent here to protect you. Stay away. I’m too attached to the twelve of you already.’ I answered him honestly, in my head. “I’m too much unnecessary trouble.” I sighed. “Maybe I like trouble.” he stated. “Nobody likes trouble.” I told him. “I’m not just anybody. I’ll figure you out. Maybe not today, nor tomorrow, not even the next month. However, I will. After all, we have lots of time.” he announced.
“I’m known to disappear without a trace.” I stated. “I can teleport too.” he retorted back sassyly and got up. “I’ll let you work in peace since what you’re doing seems important.” ‘Oh right. Mess with my head and then walk off.’ I grumbled. I had begun to fear his ability to get under my skin; his observation powers and his desire to understand me. It unnerved me to no end. I pushed those thoughts away and concentrated on fixing the laptop. I unscrewed the parts to find a problem with the display adapter. That could be fixed with some tape.
After I finished the screen came to life making me sigh in relief. I started to type out the report. A hundred questions plagued my mind. 'How did they track Ryan and Nu’est? How did they infiltrate a security team even after a background check? How many more people are involved?' All these questions were brewing a storm in my head. The only thing that was obvious right now was we were in it deep and escape was impossible. The only question was if we would be able to see the end.
