One week.
CheckMate.“There cannot be a crisis next week. My schedule is already full.”
-Henry A. Kissinger
I texted Suho that I wouldn't be back tonight and switched off my phone. I drove to only God knows where. I stopped at a deserted park and parked there. I sat on a bench and put on some music. Music made me calm so that I could somehow understand where something was wrong. I just wanted to forget that Checkmate had ever happened and go back to the States. To my world; where I fit in. I rubbed my face in frustration. I closed my eyes and leaned my head back. I wanted to forget everything and just lose myself in the music.
I was woken up by someone shaking me. “Are you crazy running off like that? You gave us all a god damned heart attack!” I said hitting my arm. “How?” I asked groggily. “Your car has a tracker remember? We took some time to track you but we’re here now. Let’s get you home kiddo.” O said. I never looked at any of them. “I want out.” I quietly said while looking ahead. My voice sounded so confident and so stable. It was so unlike what I actually felt. I was a mess inside.
I heard gasps all around me. “Because of today? Look I’m sorry I yelled at you. Just that when I realized that there were multiple groups it kind of threw me off. Its like looking at it from a whole new prospective and realizing how accurately planned all this is. You took out your anger on that man and I took it out on you.” E said looking at his feet.
“It’s okay E. It’s not about today anyway. I just want out. I’m not fit enough to be a Guardian. I’m better of as a Rider.” I stated. “Are you crazy? You’ve helped us so much. You’re tailored for this. Don’t kid yourself into believing otherwise.” Ryan said. “If you’re having problems with EXO, we’ll just tell Mr. Lee about it. Or I could just go hit the Kai dude if he troubles you too much.” Eric joked, trying to lessen the tension that surrounded us. “And then make her guard the hospital room? Just keep shut for a little while okay?” I said, annoyed.
“If she has to guard his room that means she’ll stay. So might as well beat him up right?” O asked. “Can you all just focus on the problem at hand?” yelled Mike. It was highly amusing to see them behave like five year old kids. “Look A, I will consider your request only if you still hold on to it one week later. You have time think about what you want to do. If you still feel the same then I will put in a request to have you pulled out.” E reasoned with me.
“Do I have a choice?” I retorted. “Umm..nope.” they roared. “I have a condition. The stupid tracker goes off my car.” I demanded. “This girl! What do we do with you?” E face palmed. “Love me?” I . “Fine. It a deal. The tracker's off and you’re in.” he said. “For a week.” I reminded him. They all rolled their eyes and made their way back. I on the other hand, decided to not go back to the dorm and sleep in the car.
A\N: First of all I love all of you so much for subscribing! I've crossed 50 subscribers *does a victory dance* *spazz attack*
( I know this might not be too much for some authors but it's my first fanfic and I'm really grateful to all of you)
In return of your love I'm going to give you a sneak peek for the next chapter :
"I'm sorry for what I did because I took it to another level. You can continue hating me and see if I give a damn. Also, if you think your haing me is reason enough for me to leave then stop over estimating the amount you affect my decisions. Just do what I ask you to do as your assistant choreographer and I'l stay out of your business. Not that I would b interested in it anyway. " I ended. ".. and life is back to normal." sighed Greg. I got up and left for the Base. After all, I had an attack to prepare against.
