MIA POV

Just as the virus disrupted the barrier, I had forty five seconds before my IP address would be registered. Then the protection would detect a threat and shut down completely. In those crucial seconds, I managed to get a trace of the number. I would have to get in touch with one of my personal contacts to get ahead from now on since I did not have the resources required. So I gave a call to Gina. She was someone who I had met on one of my recent missions and she was undoubtedly one of the best trackers I had seen.

Unfortunately, she did not work for the CIA; instead she was a freelance tracker. When I sent her whatever traces of data I had collected she told me she would need atleast two days as she had something urgent to work on already. Thankfully she promised me she would try to give me the results as soon as possible. With a satisfied smile I leaned back, the cool mirror on my back. "Did I help?" Luhan asked, switching the music he was practicing to off. To be honest, I had forgotten he was still in the room.

"Yes! I finally got it." I laughed in mirth. "Glad to be of service." he smiled. "Finally feels like something is going my way. I just hope this works out. Then everything will fall into place." I told him. "Yeah then you can finally do what you're actually meant to do." he asserted. 'Do what I'm meant to do. Go back to being a Rider after leaving Korea.' I thought to myself. I shook my head to clear those thoughts. As much as I never wanted to admit to myself I realized I had grown attached.

"Why do you look so upset suddenly? Don't you want to be our assistant choreographer?" he asked, probably intrigued at my expression changed. "Ofcourse I do!" I answered immediately. "Then why the long face?" he prodded, utterly confused. "I come in peace with lunch as an offering!" A loud cry interrupted as I was about to answer. Luhan got up to let the crazy bunch in. "Because I will never get a chance to stay long enough for that.." I muttered, knowing well enough the outcome of such missions is never good.

KAI POV

Since Mia came back yesterday she looked really upset about something. I wanted to talk to her and ask her what was wrong but refrained myself from doing so. I had decided to stay away from her so that my feelings would fade away. It didn't help that whenever Kris called her 'Cheesecake' I felt as if a hundred knives were being twisted through my chest. She looked like a little girl who had lost her way home. All I wanted to do was pull her into my arms and tell her everything would be okay like I had done before. I wanted to make all her troubles mine just so that I could see her smile.

However that wasn't for me to do; not anymore. Kris hyung would make sure that she was okay. I kept glancing at her while practicing. She was making it extremely difficult for me to stay true to my resolve by just being there. Little did I know the worst was yet to come. When we got out for lunch Kris hyung informed us that tomorrow he would be confessing to Mia. He had asked Greg hyung to let him leave early. Hearing that pain engulfed my being and suddenly the air was too thick for me to breathe anymore.

The thought of Mia reciprocating hyung's feelings made bile rush up my throat and just like that I had lost my appetite. I had lost the fight because I was too late to realize. To realize what the girl who saved me inspite of hating me meant to me. To realize that I wanted to protect the fragile soul that had cried in my arms one night. I had realized I was going to deal with this no matter how much I despised it. I had been reminded how painful heartache is again.

Chapter 31: Its a nice plot..but i will stop here.
Is sooo simply written that serious scenes dont seem serieus.
And childish perhaps. She ( mia ) gets scolded once.. for a minor really minor thing, dhr gets mad and quits? ??
Dramatic for nothing. Scenes look unfinished and the story goes fast.. tobadd i tried till this chapter.
Hope you rewrite it someday.
