“Ryan?” I called out as I got out of the car. From the shadows, a dark silhouette appeared. I backed off a few steps, just incase. “Thank God you’re here. Let’s get this over with. You’re sure you weren't followed right?” he asked. “Affirmative.” I answered. “Also I got the report ready but it lands us nowhere.” I said, completely frustrated. “That’s why we’re here. That’s why it’s important to not get tracked. I’m here to offer you a new perspective.” he stated. I just frowned in response. “How much do you get the concept of a double agent?” he asked. 

“A double agent is someone who pretends to be part of one agency but actually is a spy for another agency. He leaks tactics and strategy.” I answered him. “Why are yo—“ I started and then realized. “You think one of us is a double agent?” I asked, dumbfounded. “I always knew you were smart kiddo. Now let me tell you who exactly is behind all this.” He said. “How did you find out?” I asked him. “I’ll explain that in a bit. It actu—“ His form crumpled.

His body jerked four times. Four bullets. I took out my gun to shoot at the direction of the footsteps. The impact of the gun going off sent waves of pain down my arm. I think I hit whoever it was because I could heard a pause in the steady footsteps. I must have hit the legs then. I half picked and half dragged Ryan and put him my car. I drove to the hospital like a maniac fearing for his life. By the time I got out, Ryan was barely breathing.

I ran to the reception asking for a stretcher and Dr. Kwang while stating an emergency. They immediately laid Ryan on the stretcher and took him to the Operation Theater. I called JR and asked him to rush to the hospital. ‘Someone from the three of them is a double agent. He or she knows Ryan had found out so they attacked him hen he was the most vulnerable.  He or she also knows I know they exist. They shot Ryan in cold blood. Who knows what else they are capable of.’ I told myself over and over again to make myself believe it. I sat down with my head in my hands. This has gone too far, I have to make it stop somehow.

JR's POV

I was surprised to see Mia calling. ‘Hadn’t Ryan hyung gone to see her?’ I wondered to myself. He had gone out to meet her to discuss 'agent stuff'. “JR come to the hospital now.” She demanded,her tone mechanical. “Is hyung alright?” I asked her, more scared than worried. “Just come. Please..” she said, her voice cracking at the end. “Boys I’ll be back in while. Don’t open the door till you see me outside.” I told them. They nodded and went back to watching TV.

On reaching the hospital, I looked for Mia. Honestly, I was scared to approach her.  Her shoulders were hunched, her elbows rested on her thighs and her head hung low.  Her posture was defensive yet vulnerable. I walked to her and squeezed her shoulder. “He was shot four times in the back. He’s lost too much blood but he was still breathing.” She said not looking up. I subconsciously pulled back my hand like I had touched a hot object. After realizing what I had done did not make her feel and better, I went and sat next to her.

“You know hyung’s a fighter. He’ll be alright.” I said and rubbed her back. A doctor walked upto us and asked if he could speak to her in private. Mia nodded and followed him to a corner. I on the other hand walked to another corner and took the opportunity to inform the boys about the situation. They were shocked to hear what had happened and Ren had started crying, but they were extremely grateful he had survived. They asked me to stay safe and take care of Mia and then ended the call. I walked back to find her gone. 

A\N: This is probably the most important chapter in the story and I’m just so excited that I finally posted it up!
