Small resume of the request: it's yejin's birthday and she's going to celebrate it with her friends. since it's hanbin's day off, he decides to take his daughter on a date and they surprise yejin when she gets home.

''Don't forget she needs to eat a-'' ''I know, I know, she needs to eat at two PM or else she won't sleep her nap and will start whinning.'' Hanbin chuckled as his wife reminded her, for the tenth  time that day about her daughter's schedule. Yejin rolled her eyes - in a rather playful way - at her husband's words. She was the mother of the two-year-old Hyerin, of course she would be worried; it was not that she didn't trust Hanbin, it's just that, she knew perfectly well he sotimes forgot about important stuff; however, she didn't dare to doubt about his father skills - he had always been there for them, for the good and for the worst. ''You can go, don't worry, Hyerin and I will be just fine.'' the male continued, grinning as he assured his wife. The female released a soft smile and nodded her head; she had to trust him in this; what could go wrong?

With this, Yejin nodded her head firmly and kissed her husband's lips gently, in a soft goodbye kiss - she would be out for a while as her friends wanted to celebrate her birthday with her - since she had a daughter two years ago, she didn't get to celebrate her birthday either because Hanbin was busy or simply because her kid was sick and she couldn't put herself before her own daughter. Yejin quickly made her way to her daughter's room and kissed her forehead, smiling as she noticed the little girl that reminded her so much of Hanbin when sleeping.Sighing quietly, Yejin nodded her head and looked at Hanbin ''Anything, call me.'' she told her husband who nodded his head firmly ''Go have fun, we'll be fine,'' 

After the front door was closed lightly, in order not to wake up the baby that was still sleeping, Hanbin made his way to the kitchen to make breakfast for two. Afterall, he still needed to make sure Hyerin ate in the right hours or Yejin would be mad and probably Hanbin would be scolded. That was the last thing he wanted in that moment. Once he was done cooking breakfast, he headed to his daughter's room, sitting down by the bed as he caressed her head gently, eventually pushing some hair off her forehead as she calmly slept. He smiled widely. Who said it was possible to love a human being this much? 

His hand quickly backed away from the children's skin when he noticed her eyes were open. He wondered if he was the cause she woke up but the smile that ripped her lips made him forget about it right after. ''Good morning, princess.'' Hanbin called out, hearing what he loved the most in the morning; ''Good morning, daddy.'' the little girl called out, rubbing her eyes slowly as she managed to sit up in her bed, almost immediatelly holding out her arms for him as her head still felt a bit heavy from the sleeping. Hanbin chuckled and the sight and quickly picked her up, taking her in his arms just to kiss her head. There was no better way to start his day than this.

''Alright, we're going to eat breakfast and then you're coming with me to somewhere.'' he informed her, just so she was aware of their schedule in that day. Hyerin nodded her head - that still rest over her father's shoulder - slowly as Hanbin took her to the bathroom. ''But first let's wash up.'' he told her, pulling back his head to see her pout. He chuckled ''You have to wash away all that sleep off your face, princess. And if you don't, your mommy is going to be mad at me.'' he pouted as well, having his daughter lifting her head to look at him and even chuckling ''Where's mommy?'' she asked, tilting her head slightly. ''Mommy is out with her friends.'' he answered her, sitting her down on the sink to wash her face. After they were done and he convienced to brush her teeth, the male took her to the kitchen and sat her down on the her chair, setting cereals in front of her who pouted. 

''Eat up, princess. We're going to be late if you don't finish your food soon.'' Hanbin told her, sitting down as he started eating a bowl of cereals as well Hyerin wouldn't start winning about the food she got and how her father ate something different. Hyerin picked up her spoon and started eating, finishing as soon as Hanbin did. They headed back to the bathroom, to brush their teeth. Once they were done, Hyerin wrapped her hand around Hanbin's pinky and pulled him to her room so he could help her choose her clothes. It didn't take long to get the little girl ready. ''It's my turn now, you can play here for a while. I won't take long.'' he told her, having her sitting down on the floor as she got her favorite doll from her bed and started playing with it.

In less than ten minutes, they were heading out. Hanbin was carrying Hyerin who hugged her doll gently against her as she heard her father talking about what they'd be doing that day. ''What color do you think that fits mommy the most?'' he asked, looking at his daughter as they got into the taxi. The girl thought for a while as she sat down, looking at her doll while her father got busy with her seat belt. Hanbin asked the driver to take them to a store where they would be buying his wife and mother of their kid a present. ''I think mommy looks nice in white.'' she commented, looking up at her dad who nodded his head, agreeing with his daughter's words. ''Let's buy something nice in white for mommy then.'' ''Why?'' Hanbin blinked a few times ''It's mommy's birthday today.'' he informed his daughter who gasped and frowned ''But I didn't get to do draw her anything.'' she whined, hearing Hanbin chuckle. ''That's alright, I'm sure we'll get home in time.''

Shopping didn't take that long, surprisingly. They did finish the task quickly and that left them a lot of free time. ''How about we go to the playground?'' he asked his daughter as they walked - now she was holding tightly onto his pinky since her steps were still small compared to Hanbin's and Yerin made sure to walk a lot slower than it was necessary when she was with Hyerin. It wasn't that Hanbin wasn't careful when it came to Hyerin but Hyerin was used to her mother's slow walk therefore, walking with Hanbin - who walked a bit faster - was almost like running to her and he only understood that when she pulled his pinky. He slowed down, chuckling at his own mistake. They stopped when they arrived the playground. ''The last one to get to the swings is a smelly egg.'' he called out, making sure to take his hand away from his daughter's gently. 

Hyerin whinned as she started running too. ''I don't want to be a smelly egg.'' she told him as she run; Hanbin slowed down knowing she wouldn't catch up with him if he decided to run but he kept teasing her ''I will get there first!'' and that only made Hyerin whines to go louder as she kept trying to get there quickly. Hanbin had to stop since he started laughing at the way his daughter responded to the teasing and with that, she got there first, pointing a finger at her father as she laughed ''You're a smelly egg!'' she announced. He pouted and playfully glared at her ''Oh yeah? I'm a smelly egg? Just wait until I get you!'' he told her, running after her who rushed as she let out loud shrieks.

Only after chasing her for some good five minutes, he decided to run faster and actually pick her up form the floor, hearing her giggling loudly. He laughed too, pecking her cheeks gently. ''Eww, you're a smelly egg now too because I got you~'' he , watching how she suddenly looked at him and frowned. He only laughed at her cuteness before this was wiped off as she pointed to the slide ''I wanna go on that.'' and with this, he set her on the top of the slide and helped her sliding down, making sure she didn't fall down.

''I'm hungry, daddy.'' she whined after thirty other minutes ticked by as if they were seconds. Hanbin's eyes landed on the watch as he nodded his head, reminding himself he should get her something to eat before she started whinning. He decided to have lunch with her. ''What should we have?'' ''Can we have pizza?'' ''Your mom is going to scold me if she finds out you ate pizza on a week day...'' he mumbled as he thought about something else they could eat. They ended up getting into a restaurant where they did serve pizza since he knew the other restaurants were too far away. Once wouldn't be bad, right?

While they waited for the food, they sat down, talking about how they should surprise Yejin but soon that subject slipped away as Hyerin came up with the idea of them taking a walk and eating ice cream which was actually something Hanbin was planning to do since the sun was collaborating with them that specific day. Hanbin was so busy with his daughter, staring at her and smiling like a fool that he totally ignored whatever happened around him; even the huge crowd of fans that had suddenly joined them outside the restaurant and rest by the window, snapping pictures of how cute they looked. Even after they started eating. ''Ha ha, your face is covered in ketchup.'' the male pointed out, laughing at his own daughter's misery. She didn't really care as she was hungry.

After being done with lunch, they decided to get ice cream. As they walked, a small crowd kept following them, to wherever they went. They soon sat down after getting their ice cream and started eating until Hanbin turned to his daughter. "Do you want to try daddy's?" he asked her, tilting his head slightly. The little female's eyes landed on her father's ice cream as she nodded her head quickly. He pulled his ice cream closer to her and closer just to gently bump it against her nose, laughing loudly as he pulled away. Hyerin looked up at her father and pouted; they were too distracted to hear the fangirling that was coming from a few meters. Hanbin kept laughing at his daughter's face. He picked up a napkin and gently wiped her face ''There'' he said.

Before they could even blame the clock to push it's hands moving so quickly, they noticed it was time to go home - and they were late to surprise Yejin. ''Oh my god.'' Hanbin whispered, quickly picking up just to run towards the taxi stop. Hyerin giggled ''Where are we going?'' she asked him, liking the way her hair waved through the wind. ''We're going to be late to surprise mommy.'' he told her, nodding his head firmly but Hyerin was too busy finishing her ice cream.

''Go hide!'' he told his daughter who nodded firmly, running to get under the table. She covered and giggled quietly. She had changed into a nice dress after taking a shower and Hanbin changed into casual clothes as well, being presentable enough for such event. They patiently waited, Hyerin held the bag tightly against her chest as she waited for her mother to walk in so she could be the one giving out her present. She even managed to draw something for her.

As soon as the door opened, a quiet giggle was heard. Yejin knew her daughter was awake and that was the first thing she wanted to check up on ''Hyerin?'' she called out but Hanbin waved his hand at her so she wouldn't speak. Upon hearing nothing, not seeing her daughter run to her, she raised an eyebrow. Something fishy was going on. She shrugged her shoulders and closed the door behind her as she walked in. She looked around, turning on the lights so she saw what was around her and upon seeing having the light illuminating her way, she found a cake over the table and three hats. Hanbin slowly came out of his hidding, telling Hyerin to do so as well.

Hyerin quickly slipped from under the table and shouted ''Happy birthday mommy!'' making her mother chuckle. Just as she was about to ask where Hanbin was, he backhugged her and pecked her head ''Happy birthday, baby.'' he whispered to her, making her smile widely. Hyerin waved the bag in front of her mother's eyes, showing off what they had done for the day - aside from what she actually saw on the media. She chuckled and pulled Hanbin's hands away so she could pick her daughter up. 

''What did you two do today?'' Hanbin put a finger in front of his lips, telling his daughter not to tell a thing to her mother. Hyerin thought for a while before coming up with a nice answer ''We got mommy a present and we ate a lot.'' she nodded her head firmly as her mother nodded too. She didn't ask further questions as she was actually aware of what happened due to the social media. Hanbin grinned proudly as his daughter didn't give him away - how proud could he get? 

Right after they managed to get Yejin sit, they started singing, Hyerin's voice still cracking and even making the music sound sweeter than it could ever sound as she clapped her hands, liking the sound of birthdays. Yejin smiled at the sight of her daughter singing so happily a song to her. It was the first time she sang it like that since last time she barely spoke a word straight - how could she get a sentence out? - but now, she was able to speak.

''Did you enjoy your birthday?'' Hanbin asked when they got to bed, after having Hyerin falling asleep with them on the couch while watching a movie. Yejin laughed rather quietly ''How about you, did you enjoy the pizza?'' she asked, not to scold him but wanting to see how he would react to it. He froze for a second before laughing nervously. ''I thought you would never know about that.'' ''Mom senses.'' she laughed, sitting down on the bed as she watched her husband, eventually joining her in laughing. ''I guess that's what it is.'' he mumbled, rubbing his nape as he got to bed. His arms wrapped around her and pulled her down by his side, bringing her body close to his. ''Let's put you to sleep, I'm sure you're tired.'' ''Yeah, I'm tired. And I missed the two of you a lot.'' she mumbled, cuddling with her husband who chuckled. ''We missed you too.''
