The morning forced the sun out of its bed or at least that was the most unscientific explanation for the kids. Nicole on the other side, knew the sun never slept; she felt disappointed with her knowledge since it was mostly against her childhood's stories. The female paid attention to the slightest details, therefore she was the one to take home straight A's to make her parents proud. Little by little she didn't feel satisfied any more with the reward her parents usually gave her which would be a proud smile that somehow would warm her heart. There were no feelings now. Sure she wanted to keep studying but she couldn't come up with an excuse to work hard like before.

It all happened two weeks ago. Nicole had heard about the seven guys who owned the town but coming to think of it, probably it was just a delinquent group of young guys who had nothing else to do rather than going around and mess with everyone else. The female was proposed by her mother to look after one of their neighbour's daughter and help her so she could achieve the best grades just like Nicole as her brother didn't give a damn about school. At first, she couldn't say she felt pleased with the idea as she would probably find out stuff she's rather not know about.

She was right. The second she stepped in to meet the little girl, she was presented to her worst nightmare. His plump lips reminded her of how she wanted to live in a fairy tale when she was a little girl; those reminded her of the prince who always came to save the day. His dark brown eyes captivated her and she got lost on them, knowing they had just so much more to tell than the outside allowed. His skinny jeans fit him perfectly but in her eyes, they were a bit too out of place. Before she could think of anything else, she distracted herself with a pencil she had in her hands but her will wasn't strong enough "Who is she?" his voice asked, leading chills down her spine. The voice she pictured in her head didn't match his; this has been the first time she got something so basic wrong in her life. "She's here to help your sister. Since you don't care as much for school, I thought of at least your sister caring for it. One of my kids needs to be successful." his mother spit out; the female had no idea how it worked in his house but hearing her mother say something like this redirected to her would make her feel embarrassed to the point she wouldn't show up in front of her parents until she proved them they were wrong. But as a grown up, she knew the male wouldn't react that way. Her eyes landed on him as she watched him like a movie, ready to criticize the smallest action but he didn't speak. Instead, the male threw a fierce gaze to Nicole who calmly looked at him. She wasn't afraid of him, at all. But little did she know she had just met the devil.

Two days after this small meeting, Nicole started her tutoring Hanbin's sister who actually seemed to be in the right path. She'd tutor her until her mother came home which was pretty much babysit the younger female. Hanbin would normally come home one or two hours before his mother. After Nicole started tutoring his sister, he sat near them and out of everything else he did, laughing at the way Nicole taught his sister was the worst. He was bothering her and certainly she didn't sign up for this. Composing herself, the female tried to ignore him the best she could but he was really getting her on her nerve. "Can you please keep it down?" the female asked politely just to have Hanbin turning to face her as if she asked some college difficulty question. He shoot her a fierce gaze while his sister stared at them quietly, feeling bad for Nicole. Nobody dared to even ask him what time it was yet she decided to ask him to shut up. She was stepping the line. "You should respect your sister, she's trying to learn so let me do my job." the worst part of it wasn't even the fact she was against him but the fact two of his friends were over and were watching the scene. His eyes were almost red like a furious bull as he got up from the couch. Nicole got up as well and crossed her arms over her chest "What are you going to do, hit me?" she asked; she was used to this kind of stuff as usually people in school tried to approach her to cheat or simply beat out their frustrations of low grades on her.

The little girl was still siting, staring at the scene in front of her eyes. Her brother would kill her tutor with his eyes if he could. On the other side, Nicole didn't seem to be affected by his oh so scary glare. She took a break and ripped her eyes from the scene just to notice two of his friends by the couch's arms, laughing. The skinny guys were obviously amused, especially since one of them was familiar with the female as she was in his class. "Nicole, don't be so harsh on him. He will lose his gangster status at school." Jiwon said out loud to have his best friend glaring at him. Sure they were or looked scary but they had their fun side too, which was much more usual than their scary side. Sure they ruled the town and sure they had people facing them once in a while but usually those would be rethinking their choices soon after noticing what was going to happen to them. Nicole wasn't like that though.

"I'm not sure you're aware of who you're talking to, Missy." "A spoiled kid who thinks that just because he acts though I shall be obeying him. Someone who doesn't respect others out of fear to be depressed over someone else's will. Someone who thinks he is the one in charge when in reality he's the one who needs attention." the female tilted her head slightly before looking over at Jiwon who started laughing like no tomorrow. "Knocked out." that comment was enough to make Hanbin explode. Hanbyul was used to their talking as she mostly was forced to live with Hanbin's small gang. Hanbin simply scoffed as if he was discussed with the conversation; fact was, he hated losing, especially to a girl.  

The next day, Nicole was already expecting Hanbin to get back at her. She felt his eyes on her the second she walked through the gates but she decided to ignore him just like she would do to anyone else. But rather than a pair of eyes on her, there were seven. Seven pairs of eyes on the female; this was the first time she had so much attention on her. "Princess, princess, you and me could actually be a thing." one of the youngest called out, his name was Donghyuk.  His dark brown hair fell perfectly on his forehead and his earring got Nicole's attention for hanging in the air like it was parted from his ear. She smiled softly at him "No thanks, I'd rather date my shoe." Jiwon started laughing before patting his shoulder "Told you, she's gold. You should have seen the way she talked to Hanbin yesterday." he commented, leading on the wall as Donghyuk's jaw dropped; nobody ever rejected him before. While that, Hanbin's eyes followed the female quietly as his head thought of how to get back at her for fooling him in front of his closest friends. A subtle smirk formed on his lips as his brain came up with an brilliant idea. If only he cared for school just as much as he cared for this... He probably was moved by revenge most of the time but anybody could tell this time was different. He wasn't trying to revenge but trying to get his pride back instead.

The bell soon rang and for the fist time, the gang moved towards their classrooms quickly, before the teacher arrived. This wasn't usual. Something that wasn't usual either was the fact Jiwon and Yunhyeong had cleared the two seats beside Nicole. "You gotta teach me how to do that thing. I swear it looked so cool. Actually, Hanbin was never faced like that, you know?" his words exalend excitement but at the same time some fear as he, himself wouldn't dare to talk louder than Hanbin for a single second unless they were fooling around.

Coming back to the present time, Nicole found herself inside the classroom, thinking this week had been the hardest to survive through in her life. Her lips parted slightly as she exhaled. In her hands rest a letter, a black papered letter. For the past week she had been receiving these letters but the thing that bothered her the most was the fact she knew who was sending her those and she wanted to read them even if they codified one letter of the alphabet. The message itself was hard to discodify. She came to conclude the first word was her own name as so far she received four letters, which were n, i, c, o. So she found out only two letters were missing in her name. The funniest thing was that she had found that only the first letter mattered in the letters he sent. It was the most random thing she had ever seen. The last one she had received said. "Over the ocean, I've seen a weird crab which had a skirt, can you believe that?" Nicole smiled to herself but soon hid the letter and her smile when she heard Jiwon's voice. The thought of being caught into this made her heart race over it. Never had it beaten so fast, not even during P.E.. "Did we have homework?" he asked, sitting by her side. The female shook her head quietly, which got Jiwon wondering if there was any reason for it. His eyes caught a glimpse of what he could swear was Hanbin's trademark paper. To avoid getting their papers messed with someone else's, they changed to black colored paper. It was their own thing; why did she have it in her hands? Coming to think of it, Hanbin had been acting strange the past week and that drew a visible smirk on his face. He was going to find out what was going on.

The second Yunhyeong stepped inside the room,  Jiwon shot him a glare. Yunhyeong nodded once, understanding he had to get the group together but before he could leave, Jiwon pointed to his nose, signaling him Hanbin wouldn't need to know about this. Yunhyeong got the message and headed out calmly.

Soon it was time to go home, but not for Nicole. She found herself exited to be over Hanbin's house. The female was packing her belongings until the gang approached her but someone was missing. Hanbin. She looked over at Jiwon who quickly approached her and asked her to follow him for a second. She followed him to find Jiwon making a huge fuss over a spider. The second she came back, the gang members were smiling at her, which was confirming Jiwon's thoughts. They let her go then.

That afternoon, when Nicole came to his house, she was surprised to see the full group sitting on four couches instead of the usual two friends who were always with him, Jiwon and Jinhwan. "Get your off my face, this couch is for four damn people." he kept pushing Jiwon off the couch. While that, Hanbyul was quietly trying to do her homework. Nicole bit her lip before she sat down with the kid; all the eyes were on her as she taught but at least, Hanbin had stopped with the noise.

"So like, Over the ocean,  I've seen a weird crab..." those eight words started a revolution. Nicole's eyes grew wide as she turned around to look at the group while Hanbin looked at Jiwon as if he had just pronounced words he didn't understand. The female looked at Jiwon, feeling all her world crash down. Was he the one to send her the letters? Or was it indeed Hanbin but simply playing with her? Hanbin on the other side stared at her, pissed. He didn't need to speak. He got up and pointed over to the kitchen, as if ordering Nicole to follow him.

Hanbyul blinked as she didn't understand what was going on. "Your brother and your tutor are sitting on a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g." "Jiwon oppa, nobody says that nowadays..." the female informed, laughing.

By the kitchen, there was a pissed Hanbin, staring at the female in front of him "Did you show them?" "Are you sure this isn't part of your stupid plan?" she came to conclude those letters were just a prank he had pulled on her for her shameless answer. Hanbin stared at her, confused with the situation in front of him. It had been one week since they met each other and that one week was full of bickering, and more than that as it actually turned out to be a fight Nicole would always win. "What are you even talking about?" "Oh please, don't pretend to be the victim when you know perfectly well what I'm talking about. Great plan." he had been flirting with her every now and then, he even ditched his friends to learn more about the girl who dared to talk back to him. Hanbin his lips as he thought about what was going on but the only thing that came to his mind was Jiwon reading out loud his words. His at first sight meaningless words that had so much more to say than he could ever be able to pour out. "Jiwon read the letter, didn't he?" "Why does it matter?" "Because he is able to understand the code I had worked so hard on. It meant to be a game in which you would understand what I wanted to mean but it would stay in between us. Nobody needed to know about it anyways." the female stared at him quietly for a while. "The crab.... The crab walks sideways, right? It means my head is messed whenever I think how easy you were able to take me down when you weren't even afraid of what I was going to say. The skirt was a way to say I'm head over heels for you because you don't give me the attention I want like everyone else and probably you know me better than I know myself even though we didn't meet that long ago." Nicole crossed her  arms over her her chest as she stared at him "Look, this isn't anything near funny. It's mean so please stop it, will you? I have your sister to teach. So if you don't mind, I will be going now." the female kindly informed, turning around to leave Hanbin staring at her. He was surprised she didn't take him seriously when he was speaking the truth. He really meant all he said and sure he felt weird for growing feelings for the female this easy. He hid that fact from his friends though, feeling ashamed for liking someone when he always acted so cold and though to everyone.

On that same day, Nicole had talked to Hanbyul's mother asking if she didn't mind Hanbyul to come over Nicole's house instead. She reasoned the noise to be the main reason why she couldn't work in her house and she even offered to walk the little girl home when they were done since their house were right next to the other. Her proposal pulled over a huge wave of guilt over Hanbin's friends and Hanbin himself since he knew the only reason she asked that was to get away from him. He was getting annoying to her.

Hanbyul now would come by herself to Nicole's house which was better for the female as she didn't have To see Hanbin for longer than when she was at school. The only thing that bothered her was the fact Hanbin would come to pick his sister up "I told your mom I would take her home." "It's not like you can't walk her home if I'm here." he fought back earning a groan. Nicole wanted to keep words exchanging to the minimum when it came to him but he could only feel bothered with that since she talked to Jiwon. He didn't like that because in first place, she was his, either she wanted it or not. "You could stop being so annoying..." "You could stop avoiding me. Seems like none of us likes to follow someone else's requests." the male stated, just to watch Nicole take his sister's hand and pull her along. "Your brother is so annoying." "Eonnie.... You could listen to him. He has been mad since the day you left our house, to be honest and I'm worried for him." she commented as she was pulled. Soon they were standing in front of Hanbyul's house. She rang the bell and waited for someone to open the door. She was relieved to see Mrs. Kim in front of her. "Hanbyul is doing well, I think she doesn't need me anymore, Mrs. Kim... " Nicole trailed off. "If it's about Hanbin, honey..." Nicole shook her head, trying to deny it but deep down, she knew she couldn't fool his mother nor herself with this conversation. "Hanbyul is doing really well... I mean, I will always be a step away if she needs anything but I don't think she needs my tutoring anymore." the other female sighed and not dded her head as she bid goodbye to Nicole.

As she turned around to leave, she found the male right in front of her. His lips released a soft smirk "I can't believe you're letting go of everything for me." "Keep dreaming." "We both know there's something going on between us, don't even try to deny it." the female groaned and stared at him, rather pissed at him for being so right. "Alright, and so what?" "We can do it the hard way or the easy way." "And what would the difference be?" "The hard way requires me giving you a hard time until you crawl back here so we can talk like the two adults we are. And the easy way... Well the easy way is the easy way." "And why do I feel like there's no easy way?" Hanbin scanned her features before his smirk dropped from his lips. His right hand reached for her waist while his left hand smoothly held onto her neck. He pulled her close to him and without any other warning, crashed his lips on hers. Their lips danced in sync to an intimate rhythm that couldn't be described. Nicole's hands held onto the male's collar as the kiss grew passionate and somehow rough. Everything about him shouted confidence and this was no exception. The way he kissed her made her dizzy but she didn't want that feeling to go away because so far, it was the greatest she had ever felt and coming to think of it, this was why her A+ didn't satisfy her anymore. Because he had came into her life. The second they pulled away, he rest his forehead on hers, not mothering to open his eyes as he panted heavily "You can run but believe me, you can't hide." he whispered to her before his lips dared to kiss her jawline and neck. His nose bumped against her skin, taking in her scent which was enough reason for him to leave back a mark. Nicole slapped his shoulder, pushing him away "What's Wrong with you? What do you think you're doing?" "Marking you. I hate sharing. That's a warning to keep Jiwon's hands off you." he warned as he his lips. The male stared into the female's eyes as if it was the most natural thing to do. "If I didn't make it clear enough, you're mine." he didn't give her enough time to answer as his lips landed on hers again. But she didn't complain, she kissed him back like she needed that kiss to survive.

"You're really not romantic." "I bet I drive you crazy with just one look. Plus movies aren't my thing. I'd rather do it Hanbin's way." sure his way was much better than what she usually saw in movies but she couldn't deny the fact she like to be kissed gently. Little did she know what she got herself into.
