The sky was clean; there were no clouds around, which was great for a date. Usually Hyejung would rather stay at home and cuddle with her boyfriend but the day looked too good to waste it at home.

Her outfit was simple, since it wasn't spring yet, she had decided to wear jeans and a simple plain shirt that almost looked like a dress to her. Donghyuk's hand intertwined with hers. Walking through the streets was rare for them, but today the day was worth it.

After a few more minutes walking, the couple decided to sit down. Both were wearing converse; she had got him a pair of blue converse for his birthday and he decided to give her a pair too. Hers were black as it was easy to match with a lot of clothes she used. Her boyfriend knew how much she cared about her looks and clothes.

The couple had decided the beach was a nice place to spend their day at. Normally at this rate, the only people on the beach were them and a few surfers. Other than that, the beach was desert which was exactly what they were looking for. They decided to sit down but not before Donghyuk pulled out his jacket size she wouldn't dirty her jeans. The female refused, as always, scolding him to wear his jacket.

They both were now sitting on the  sand. Donghyuk was sitting behind the female,  his arms wrapped around the female's waist. She leaned on his chest as they watched the waves come and go.

Shyly, the female looked down at the sand under them. The male had written their names there and he had pulled her hand slightly so she looked down. She smiled at his small action. He had different ways to show her how much he cared for her and those never failed to impress her. She added a small heart, thinking it probably was very childish but she couldn't care less. She found his childish side comfortable so she could let herself try it once in a while.

"Donghyuk" she called his name. He smiled, knowing she didn't want to speak to him. She just liked the sound of it. His well defined chin rest on her shoulder, finding that the way to have her close to him. "I have something to say to you." the male spoke. She looked over at the male and bit down her lip, knowing he wasn't good at jokes. He simply had a fun way to express himself. "I will be your cheerleader when you can't do it. I will make you focus." "Uhm I think I will be more focused on you wearing a skirt than my own studies. " she laughed as she thought about it. He would look ridiculously funny much to her satisfaction. The male, on the other hand, smiled as he was able to take the series of studying away from her mind for a second. He felt glad because he himself, knew how school could be stressing, especially when the results didn't come off to be what they expected.

He released a soft chuckle as he found himself imagining what the female previously said. He was tired of standing behind her therefore, he turned her slightly so her back was facing his left leg and her legs were over his own. He found this position comfortable but the female was confused with his actions. "Ugh, don't hide it from me..." she analyzed his face but soon tilted her head, wondering what he was talking about since he turned serious out of a sudden. Big white question marks surrounded her head as the female was confused with her boyfriend's behaviour. She found his actions weird sometimes but she didn't complain.

"Your face..." she blinked and quickly cupped her cheeks wondering if anything was wrong with her face only to have her boyfriend laughing out loud like no tomorrow as he laid down on the sand that somehow had landed on his head "So cute." he laughed harder. She rolled her eyes.

For some reason she started laughing too and she found it was Donghyuk's fault as his laugh was itself source of happiness. Especially because he was going hysterical over something that wasn't even funny. She laughed along; these somewhat idiotic moments were what she enjoyed the most. Her boyfriend was a dork and that cheered her up in any occasion.

By now, the male had sat up but the female continued laughing. The image of him almost rolling on the sand while laughing was captured by her eyes; her brain kept replaying it which kept the female laughing, perhaps a bit too roughly and letting out her not so feminine side. "Your laugh, I like your laugh." he managed to confess to her after making sure he was done with all the silly act.

The female stopped laughing and stared at the male, scanning his features but all she was able to find was a soft trail of amusement that somehow had broke into a smile as her eyes grew smaller. She was almost glaring at him. Almost.

Donghyuk was just too busy smiling at her to even care about her glare. He spoke the truth. He actually liked her laugh; for him, it was his energy. It only meant he was good enough to make her happy and that was the best reward he could ever ask for, since they didn't spend that much time together due to work and school.

"You really like embarrassing me, don't you, Kim Donghyuk?" the female argued, crossing her arms over her chest before feeling his strong pair of arms wrap around her waist. His lips pressed against her skin almost drove her crazy "Actually, I love seeing you happy. You embarrassed is just an extra that I actually enjoy a lot." his head nodded once, firmly as he gloriously smiled.

She simply leaned on him. And decides not to speak another word as she was just too embarrassed to do so anyways. The view was enough to calm her down; the ocean looked just fine today and what else could be better than her favorite place with her favorite man? Probably nothing. "I'll be sure to laugh more often." she blurted out before the male smiled and hugged her closer. "I'll be sure to protect that laugh of yours." his whispers were loud enough to make the waves crashing sound a low background noise that somehow lead the melody Donghyuk's voice followed; this was perfect. Nothing to add nothing to take. Just him, her and the beach. It was enough.
